Hello,
My dear friends.
My name is Jacob and I'm grateful to be here with you tonight for this gentle sleep meditation.
Tonight is about letting the ocean guide you into the deepest,
Most nourishing sleep your body can offer.
If your thoughts have been busy or your body feels unsettled,
This practice will help you release the weight of the day and drift into the kind of rest that truly restores you.
You've done enough for today.
Truly it is enough.
And as you drift,
Know that my voice will be here beside you,
Watching over you,
Protecting this space of peace until sleep fully carries you away.
May the ocean's rhythm cradle you tonight,
Restoring your body,
Quieting your mind,
And reminding you that rest is your birthright.
Now that you've arrived here,
Let your body find the most comfortable position.
Feel the surface beneath you supporting every part of your weight,
As if the earth herself is holding you.
There's nothing you need to change,
Nothing you need to fix,
You're safe to simply be.
Begin by noticing your breath,
Gentle,
Quiet,
Flowing in and out like the tide.
Each inhale a wave arriving at the shore,
Each exhale a wave retreating back to the sea.
Allow yourself to breathe in this rhythm,
Steady and calm.
The more you follow the ocean's breath,
The more your body softens.
Let your shoulders drop a little lower,
Let your jaw unclench,
Allow your eyes to rest heavier even if they are already closed.
Every small release is the ocean helping you let go.
Imagine the first wave washing over your feet,
A soft,
Warm tide pulling away all the tension held in your toes,
Your ankles.
With each exhale,
The wave draws away heaviness and returns stillness.
The tide rises gently to your calves,
Feel the water loosening muscles,
Unraveling tightness,
Leaving only comfort behind.
With every breath,
You sink deeper into rest.
Now,
The ocean reaches your thighs,
Washing them in steady warmth.
Any weight you've been carrying dissolves,
Drifting away into the water.
Your legs grow heavy,
Warm,
And deeply relaxed.
The waves rise to your hips,
To your lower back.
The water cradles this part of your body,
Carrying away strain,
Loosening any places of holding.
Imagine your whole lower body now rests in deep calm,
Supported,
Protected,
And safe.
Another wave carries the ocean to your stomach and chest.
With each inhale,
The tide rises,
And with each exhale,
The tide falls.
Your breath and the sea become one rhythm.
Let your heart soften into it.
Let your belly expand freely.
No need to hold,
No need to guard.
The tide reaches your shoulders,
Washing away what you've carried today.
Imagine the water lifting burdens from your back,
Setting them free into the sea.
You don't need to hold them anymore.
Now,
The waves move to your arms,
To your hands,
To the very tips of your fingers.
They're heavy,
Loose,
And at ease.
Like driftwood floating peacefully,
Your arms no longer carry effort.
Finally,
The ocean comes to your shoulders,
Your neck,
Your face,
And as it does,
You feel a deep knowing this water is safe.
You can breathe easily,
Freely,
As if the ocean itself is giving you air.
You're protected here,
Held here.
No matter what happens,
You are okay.
It feels natural to let go,
To trust the water that carries you.
The ocean isn't pulling you under,
It's lifting you up,
Rocking you into peace.
As if you're being cradled by something vast and kind.
Now you float on the surface of the sea,
Completely at ease.
The water beneath you is steady and warm.
Moving in the slow rhythm of breath.
Above you,
A wide sky opens,
Scattered with quiet stars.
The air is soft,
Cool.
Filling your lungs with ease.
Everything around you is gentle.
Everything within you is calm.
The waves rise and fall beneath you,
Carrying you deeper into tranquility.
With each swell of the tide,
You sink further into relaxation.
With each gentle retreat,
More of your thoughts are pulled away,
Leaving you clear and quiet.
Your body grows heavier,
Yet lighter at the same time.
As if all the tension has weight,
And the ocean is lifting it from you.
There is no effort here,
Only release.
Notice the stars above you,
Mirrored perfectly in the water.
Each one a small light of reassurance,
Reminding you that you are never alone.
You are watched over,
Protected,
Held in this vast embrace.
Allow yourself to drift.
Thoughts may come,
But the ocean will carry them away.
Again and again.
They dissolve like foam on the tide.
Each time you return more deeply to stillness.
Now,
With every breath,
Let these truths sink deeper.
Your body knows how to rest.
Your mind knows how to be quiet.
You are safe to surrender fully to sleep.
The ocean whispers these words into you.
Wave after wave,
Until you no longer need to try.
Sleep becomes effortless,
Natural,
Inevitable.
And as you float here,
You know that you are being guarded.
My voice is here beside you,
Watching over you,
Protecting this space of peace.
Guiding you into the deepest and most healing sleep your body can offer.
You're safe to let go completely.
Every sound you hear only takes you deeper.
Every breath you take brings you closer to rest.
And every wave of the ocean carries you further into the embrace of sleep.
And now,
As the waves continue their timeless rhythm,
You're free to drift wherever sleep carries you.
There's nothing more to do,
Nothing more to think about.
Your body has released what it needed to let go.
Your mind has grown quiet.
And the ocean is holding you in perfect safety.
Allow each breath to grow softer,
Slower.
Allow each wave to carry you further into sleep's embrace.
The sea cradles you.
The stars keep their watch above you.
And you,
My dear one,
Are completely at peace.
May you rest tonight in deep renewal.
May your body restore itself.
Your mind grow clear.
And your spirit awaken refreshed when the morning light returns.
For now,
Sleep is here,
Waiting only for you to let go.
And as you do,
Know that you are safe.
You are loved.
And you are free to dream.
