Hello,
Welcome.
I'm so glad that you chose yourself in this moment as we prepare to settle into our bodies and fill ourselves with compassion.
And we will be pushing away thoughts and feelings of self-doubt.
I'd like you to start by focusing on your breath.
Just noticing how it feels as it enters your nose,
Travels down your throat,
And comes back out again.
This time I want you to go a little further and notice how it feels as it goes down towards your belly.
Goes in and comes out nice and warm.
There's a rhythmic flow to your natural breath,
Almost like music.
Let's give a moment to appreciate what your lungs and your body do to help you breathe.
Now as we settle in,
We're going to start with some deep breaths.
We're going to take those breaths in through our nose.
We're going to hold them and then we're going to blow them out softly from our lips until our bellies are nice and empty.
And when we do these things,
I want you to imagine pulling in self-compassion,
Thinking of it as a nice warm blanket on a really cold day,
Wrapping around you,
Helping you feel safe and full and protected.
I want you to imagine this from the inside and letting it become a part of you and seeping in and out through your pores of your skin.
And when you exhale,
I want you to exhale all those feelings of self-doubt and imagine it float far,
Far away.
And use my voice as your guide.
And we will begin.
Inhale through that nose,
All of that self-compassion nice and slow and long,
Feeling it become a part of us.
I want you to hold it there,
Let it fill your lungs,
Become a part of your crevices,
Your nooks and crannies,
Cell by cell.
Now exhale,
Blowing out all of the self-doubt,
Deflating that belly,
Watching self-doubt off in the far,
Far distance.
Now inhale self-compassion.
Hello old friend,
How we've missed you.
Holding it there,
Letting it nurture us,
Become a part of you,
Holding it and now pushing out self-doubt like it's on a cloud being carted away,
Much far out of reach,
Too far to see.
And again,
I want you to inhale self-compassion,
Letting that smile fill your face as you breathe in,
Holding it there,
Letting it cradle you from the inside,
Holding it there,
Becoming one with self-compassion and blowing out all of the self-doubt until you're empty,
It is gone,
It is floated away.
One more time,
Breathing in self-compassion,
Nice and full and free,
Holding it there,
Safe and warm and you,
And you deserve compassion.
And exhale,
Self-doubt be gone,
Away,
No longer welcomed here.
And as you let your breath return to normal,
Sitting in your new state of self-compassion,
Knowing that you deserve the love and the warmth that comes with compassion,
Knowing that it is for you,
Feeling it,
Being it,
Going back to focusing on that breath,
Giving appreciation for it,
In and out.
And I want you to start to move your body in whatever way feels good,
Feels needed,
Whether that's rolling of your ankles,
Of your neck,
Nice deep stretch of the back or the hips,
Leaning into the spaces that feel good to lean into,
Giving compassion to the external parts of your body and preparing you for your day.
If you've closed your eyes during this time,
Now would be the time to slowly start to open your eyes,
Start to let light back in,
Taking in your environment,
Realizing you are safe in your space right now in this moment,
Ready to go on with your day or your night.
And we are there.
Thank you so much for joining and I wish you self-compassion in the moments to come.
