Find your comfortable position,
Finding your stillness and bringing your awareness onto your breath.
Breathing in slowly in a longer,
Slower deep breath out.
Allow these readings to be absorbed.
The search for wholeness.
People who are always craving,
Wanting,
Needing,
Striving,
After possessions,
Money,
Success,
Power,
Recognition or relationships.
Will find that even when attaining those things,
The whole is still there.
Only brief intervals of peace and fulfilment are felt,
Still leaving that deep seated sense of lack.
The ego is the false self.
Identification with the mind,
Always in a state of fear and want.
Don't allow it to attach itself to your problems.
The compulsion to live almost exclusively through memory and anticipation creates an endless preoccupation with past and future.
The past gives us an identity,
The future holds the promise of fulfilment in whatever form.
Step out of the time dimension as much as possible.
Withdraw attention from past and future whenever they aren't needed.
Notice when your mind wants to escape from the now.
By being able to observe thoughts and emotions,
You are able to witness the present and not become trapped in the mind.
Don't judge or analyse,
Be the silent watcher.
Observation creates presence.
Presence is the key to freedom.
You can only be free in the now.
There is never a time when your life is not in the present moment.
