This is a beautiful experiential guided meditation with teachings of awareness (mindfulness) of breath. You are invited to experience the gentle calm of focused attention on the natural rhythm of your breath and to notice your body's natural expression of breath moving through you. There are several pauses after my guided suggestions to allow you the time and space to experience on your own - the beautiful intentions for your breath awareness. - xo dorothy

Hello everyone,

This is Dorothy Ratustini.

Welcome to your four-minute breath awareness meditation.

For wherever you join me from,

Allow yourself to come to a place of stillness in your body.

Find a comfortable posture,

Even if you are standing,

And close your eyes.

Begin to focus inward and notice the natural rhythm of your breath.

As you breathe,

Bring full awareness to your inhalation and your exhalation.

Notice when your mind drifts away from the breath,

Simply observe and then ever so gently,

As you immediately take a new in-breath,

Bring your attention back,

Focusing on the inhalation,

And return to your breath cycle,

Breathing deeply.

Breathe a little deeper as you inhale,

Noticing the quality of your breath,

Notice the expansion in your lungs and your chest as you breathe in.

And when you exhale,

Release all of your breath,

Breathing out easily,

Letting go.

Notice how after releasing your entire breath,

Your body naturally takes a new deep inhalation.

Feel the beauty of this breath and each breath.

On your next inhalation,

As you breathe in deeply,

Allow a full breath and hold for a count before you exhale,

Releasing all of your breath,

And then hold just for a count before you allow for your body to take the next in-breath.

What do you begin to notice as your breath is slow and regular and deep?

So you breathe in.

Allow yourself a few more breaths as you ease into the soothing feeling of relaxation even deeper,

As you follow the beautiful wave of breath happening so naturally,

Always.

Feel the calm that you are.

Thank you so much,

Everyone.
