Dear Encounter Visualization,
This really is a beautiful practice to deepen your experience of wonderment and so I would encourage you to keep trying this practice and see how your sense,
Your perception changes over time.
So when you're ready,
Sitting comfortably again on the floor,
On a cushion or in a chair with your back supported and your feet on the floor if your choice is in a chair,
Just relaxing your body and closing your eyes when you're ready and taking your attention within,
Focusing on your breath,
Breathing down into your stomach,
Noticing your body relax further.
I'd like you to imagine that you're walking through a snowy landscape.
You really notice that the snow is completely clean and untouched and you are grateful because you have warm and nurturing clothes on to protect you from the cold crisp air.
You experience this as complete freshness.
You notice your breath as it meets the cold air and becomes like clouds on the breeze.
As you walk forward through the snow,
You're also aware of a calming sense of nature,
Being outdoors and the freedom to walk where you choose and you notice ahead of you a small wood in which you walk towards and as you get nearer you notice that there are small icicles on the branches glistening in the light of the sun,
Which you also feel on your skin.
You hear a sound and look ahead through the trees and in front of you is the most beautiful deer you have ever seen.
The light of the sun brings a glow on its back.
Notice the beauty of its fur and then your awareness meets the awareness of the deer through your eyes and the deer's eyes as you gaze at each other and in that moment it is as if everything else has disappeared and only you and the deer are present on this earth.
Notice the feeling of excitement as it's you the deer has chosen to stand and stare with right now.
It's you that is experiencing the beauty of the deer's gaze.
In this moment,
In this moment nothing else moves.
There is only silence and awareness of each other.
You feel the beauty of the innocence and purity of the deer looking at you while you are looking back at the deer.
Connection with something greater is happening in this moment and suddenly it no longer feels like space between you but that both you and the deer are sharing in something,
Something greater than you both and in your appreciation of the deer you feel love.
You notice that you share something in common,
The miracle of existing,
The miracle of the two of you being here in this moment.
Something taking place beyond words and you feel grateful so thanking the deer for the gift of presence today and wonderment.
Now you turn around retracing your steps in the snow,
Smiling at the experience with gratitude.
Now when you're ready bring your awareness back to yourself,
Breathing more deeply,
Livening your body,
Coming back to the room that you're in,
Opening your eyes,
Bringing with you that sense of wonderment at your own existence,
Moving your fingers and toes,
Remembering to write in your journal how this experience has been.
