This is the second in our series on meditating everything.
And our focus here today will be on the morning.
And especially the morning sun,
And the birds,
And the wind.
So find your way into a comfortable position.
And begin to breathe nice and easy.
Slow down your breath.
Calm your body.
And come into your center.
Feel that sense of your center right there.
Where it always is.
Accessible.
Reachable.
A place within you,
Within your experience of yourself.
That's calm.
Still.
Serene.
So finding your center,
We're going to take a morning experience.
So we'll do this together,
You and I.
And we'll have a bit of a journey.
So as you are in your center,
Sitting or lying down,
Begin to use your imagination.
And picture in your imagination being in a bright,
Sunny morning.
In a beautiful place in nature.
A place that you love.
And we'll take a bit of a walk and find a place to sit down.
And as we sit,
We can begin to notice the things around us.
And we start to tune in with our awareness.
With our imagination from our center.
And we begin to tune in to the sunshine on our face.
We begin to feel how warm it is.
How calming.
How energizing.
And strangely calming at the same time.
It feels so good to sit in the sun like this.
To feel the warmth on our skin,
On our face,
On our arms and hands.
It feels so good.
It feels so good.
We can feel the warmth sinking into our bones,
Through our skin and muscles,
All the way to our bones.
And we pay attention.
We become aware of our bodies,
Of the joy that the sunshine brings to us.
And as we're feeling the sun in this beautiful morning,
We can suddenly start to hear the birds.
And birds are all around us as we increase our awareness.
We can hear them,
We can see them.
We can even,
If we reach out with our awareness,
We can even feel them.
Much like when you notice somebody comes into a room.
You can feel their presence.
So reach out with your awareness and experience the birds.
Hear them,
See them and feel them.
And come back into your body with your awareness.
And feel your body.
The warmth,
The sunshine,
The sounds coming into your ears.
The sights that you're seeing with your eyes of trees and birds and water.
And then begin to feel the wind.
Use your awareness.
Use your imagination.
And actually feel the wind.
Listen for it,
Feel it.
Experience the wind along with the birds and their singing.
Along with the sunshine on your face.
Let your awareness reach out.
And feel what this is like.
Use your senses.
Hear the wind,
Feel the wind.
Hear the birds,
See the birds.
See the wind moving the trees.
Perhaps the grass,
Other plants.
See if you can use your awareness to reach out and feel these different aspects of what's going on around us.
Feel the energy that's there.
And then bring your awareness back in again,
Back into your own body and feel your own body.
If there's any discomfort,
See if you can relax those places in your body.
If there's any tension,
Relax those places of tension.
And just allow yourself to be aware of your own body for just a moment.
And then we take our awareness again and go back out with it.
Use your eyes and scan one more time.
See the plants,
The trees,
The bushes,
The grass.
See the wind moving these plants.
See if you can feel the wind again and feel the plants as they move.
Listen to the birds again.
And see if you can feel their presence as you see them and listen.
And then finally feel the sun on your face one more time.
Warmth,
Comfort.
Use your imagination strongly,
Use your awareness.
One more time.
And feel all of this around you.
Use all your senses this final time.
And then bring your awareness back into your body.
Back into the moment and place where you are.
Back into this time.
And when you're ready,
Open your eyes.
