Hello my friend.
This meditation is about just being.
And I wanted to offer this meditation because I know one of the great challenges in all of our lives is self-acceptance.
Thinking that we have to prove ourselves or we have to be like other people or we have to produce in a way that is superhuman in order to be justified as a person.
So many of our constricting religious beliefs do the same thing.
They funnel us into a sense of there's only one way to become a good moral person or to be a good moral person.
And that is to follow the religious institutions rules and precepts about how to be.
I think so many of these expectations whether they're external or internally driven really hurt us and bring us down into a place where it's very very difficult to accept who we are as a person.
So let's move into a meditation about just being.
Just being who you are.
So find a comfortable position and whether you're sitting or lying down it's totally okay.
Take a nice easy breath and as you exhale feel your body relax.
Take another breath and as you exhale feel your mind and your emotions calm down and settle into your center that place that feeling that sense within you.
That's always been there maybe in the background at times but always been there where you trust yourself and know yourself.
And as you settle into your center feel how easy and natural it is.
And if it doesn't feel so easy and natural just imagine feeling easy and natural what that might be like.
And if it's hard to imagine it just pretend that you're feeling easy and natural.
During this meditation there's nothing that you have to do to prove that you're a good meditator to prove that you're a good person.
All you have to do for the next few minutes is to just be.
You could think about all the different roles that you play in your life.
If I asked you the question who are you you might answer with those roles or with your gender or with your race or your nationality.
You might answer with your profession or your family position your family role.
You might answer with your heritage or your bank account total.
But just let all of these ideas about who you are as a person just let them fall away for just a moment.
You can always go back to them later if you really want to.
And just let yourself feel all of those roles those ideas those concepts of who you are as a person gradually diminish and fall away.
Until you're just sitting in your meditation position or lying down and you're just feeling yourself.
Feeling your body.
Feeling yourself just being.
Allow yourself to just be in this moment.
Allow yourself to feel this sense of just being.
Just being your own self.
There's no comparisons.
There are no issues.
No challenges.
No grocery lists to go over.
No tasks for your work that might lie ahead for the day.
There's just you in this moment simply being.
All those expectations about who you're supposed to be just let them fall away.
All those desires and goals that you're striving for.
Let them melt into the background.
Even what you think you should be doing what you should be as a person.
Just let that dissipate and just be.
Just be you.
And my friend consider this idea that you are enough.
Simply as you are.
Simply who you are.
You are enough.
You don't need anything more.
You don't need to be better.
You don't need to be perfect.
You don't need to be smarter or more capable or more productive.
You are enough just as you are.
So just be.
Relax into being.
Relax into being.
Relax into being.
If there are sounds that you hear,
Physical sensations,
Things that seem like they're distracting,
Just allow them to be also.
You can even allow them to help you center more strongly on just being.
Right now you're just being you.
This feeling of being is actually with us all the time.
We just lose sight of it.
We forget.
We get distracted or busy.
So as you're feeling this sense of just being you,
Feel it in your body.
Remember it in your mind.
And as you go about your day today,
My friend,
Take this sense of just being with you and see if you can remember to come back to it throughout your day,
Perhaps in some unexpected times or unexpected ways.
It's part of who you are and you can actually call it up anytime you wish.
Just close your eyes and focus on just being you.
Hold this feeling of just being for one more moment.
And then let it go.
Thank you for joining me today.
I wish you a very sweet and wonderful day of just being.
Take good care.

Thank you for another great track Don๐๐๐. It relaxed me so much though, and I was driving, which made it a little dicey cause I almost fell asleep! So I canโt listen to your relaxing tracks when Iโm driving! But just before bed would be perfect, so I will listen to this again before bed๐๐๐ป

So true, itโs the expectation of who I should be versus who I am that is so very crushing. So this meditation is a pertinent corrective to an extreme sense of โthings are not as they should beโ. Whilst certain things in life should be worked towards, one mustnโt lose the idea that just being is a miracle in itself, and that I must remember to like myself, and not let the โshouldsโ take over my present moments. Will listen to this meditation repeatedly and trust it will help on this path. Thank you ๐๐ผ

I really needed this reminder this morning! The holiday season has somewhat pulled me away from this very important concept with the focus on following traditional norms and customs and has caused me to question my path. Thank you Don for bringing me back to center with this mediation that I am enough just as I am!

Thank you for sharing this meditation. Just being is such a simple concept but itโs far from simple to achieve. Your meditation is a good reminder. ๐
