Transcript

So,

Let's take a nice easy breath into our belly balloon and let that back out again.

Another easy breath and yes,

We might notice that there's a natural portion of who we are as a person,

As a human being that has to do with consciousness and has to do with the awareness of our own presence,

Our own stillness within us that right now you might be beginning to feel that sense of your stillness coming to the surface and it's not that it isn't there all the time and it's not that you're having to manufacture it,

It's just a matter of opening our awareness to perceiving it,

To experiencing the natural,

Absolutely normal state of consciousness,

Conscious awareness.

It happens all day long and right now we're going to focus our awareness on this moment and you can probably begin to feel that sense of your own presence,

Your own stillness growing.

So,

Let's take another easy breath and as we do,

As we exhale,

Let's just let our eyes close if they haven't already and come into the stillness that's there for you,

That's waiting for you to notice it.

You can feel the relaxation happening within your body as the days advance and the upcoming wondering about how your day is going to go possibly or getting ready to go to bed like our friend Kat in Hyderabad.

These moments start to fall away,

The thoughts about them fall away and we simply become aware of our own self,

That sense of center,

Our center.

One way to think about our self is that it's the experience of consciousness,

The experience of our connection with the field,

The field of the universe and that our connection is vibrant,

Alive,

Expansive and you may be able to experience some of those sensations in your body right now.

Body might be feeling heavier or tingly,

Tingling in your fingers or in your toes.

You might feel an overwhelming warmth in your body.

In this perspective,

Those physical sensations could be seen as manifestations of the experience of yourself,

Of your connection with the field.

So,

Just let yourself feel those feelings,

Relax into them.

Let it be okay to sink into and expand into yourself and from this perspective of self,

That's an expression of our connection with the field.

Let's become aware of our love,

Our actual love for life.

See if you can feel within your body,

Within this sense of self,

The love that you have for life itself.

This love can be seen in a myriad of experiences throughout our day,

Throughout our week,

Throughout our entire life.

The other day,

I saw three butterflies in one day,

A yellow butterfly,

A black butterfly and a black and red butterfly in the gardens at my house where I'm staying and I just watched them and I felt this love for life.

They're like flying flowers.

You might think about those moments in your day,

In your past week,

Where your love for life came to the surface of your experience.

You might have been looking into the eyes of someone that you love and seeing them smile or holding somebody and cuddling with them.

Maybe in your work where you feel like you're contributing in a really good way that fits so well for you.

It could be during meditation where you become aware of this self that's connected with the field and you actually feel that connection,

That experience of the field itself as love,

As peace,

As happiness within yourself.

So I'll be quiet for a few minutes now and let's just tune into as best we can through examples in our meditation to this wonderful,

Beautiful connection that we have with life itself and feel this love for life that in many ways guides and shapes everything that we do,

Whether we know it or not.

And if you find your mind wandering away,

Just notice it and bring it back.

And you might say something like,

Coming back to my love for life.

As you notice your mind has wandered,

It's okay that it happens.

Just say coming back to my love for life and refocus.

Coming back to my love for life.

So let's begin to come out of our meditation and bring with you any insights or thoughts or experiences that you've had during this time together and remember them.

So let's come back into the room that we're in,

Come back into your body,

Come back into this time,

And when you're ready,

Open your eyes.
