Hi, I'm Dr. Dan and I am a sleep psychologist and on the Adjunct Clinical Faculty at Stanford, where I provide trainings on behavioral sleep medicine. An expert in cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia, I trained at UC Berkeley's Sleep & Mood Research Clinic as well as Stanford's Center for Sleep Sciences & Medicine, where I was a clinical fellow. I currently lead a study at Stanford, in collaboration with the Circadian Clinic, examining the intersection of sleep and the gut microbiome, and authored Sleep Wise: How to Feel Better, Work Smarter, and Build Resilience, a book designed to improve wellbeing through sleep and mindfulness. When I am not engaging in client care, I consult for companies focused on integrating sleep, behavior change, and technology. I am a transracial Korean-adoptee and reside in San Francisco. I received my BA in Psychology from University of Colorado Boulder and my PhD in Clinical Psychology from CSPP. I am a Board Certified International Sleep Disorder Specialist and Licensed Psychologist in California and Colorado.

I liked how you describe cool air going up your nose and down the back of your throat. I also liked the part ‘relaxed inhale/relaxed exhale’. Very good!
