Welcome to the last segment of the Introduction to Somatic Tapping playlist.
My name is Diana,
And today we're going to talk about how to build tapping into your daily routine.
Hopefully,
You've tried the basic tapping and breathing for self-regulation.
And maybe even the guided tapping meditation.
How did those sessions feel?
What did you notice happening in your body as you progress through the different points?
You may have noticed that the tapping and breathing helped to relax the body.
So the question we're looking at now is how can you integrate tapping into your life?
That's really up to you.
Tapping can help you wake up in the morning or it can help you relax before you go to sleep.
You can also add words or phrases to tapping tailored to whatever you're working on in the moment.
But the basic breathing and tapping for calming the body is a really great foundation on its own to use on a regular basis.
So to build it into your routine,
Start by making the decision.
I am going to use tapping.
That's step one.
Step two is deciding when you're going to use it.
It might be at the start of the day before you even get out of bed.
You might tap on feeling energized during the day or tap on those things you're most grateful for in your life.
You might also notice a specific point in your day where you tend to always feel frazzled.
Maybe by lunchtime or late afternoon,
Your nerves are already worn thin.
That would be a good moment to step away for just a few minutes,
Even just to sit somewhere quiet and tap and breathe.
You might try this before you eat lunch or before you eat a snack.
You can also close out the day by tapping on what occurred during the day.
Letting go of any big emotions which may have occurred.
And then after letting those emotions go,
Tap for relaxation to fall asleep more easily.
Of course,
You can tap multiple times during the day too.
Some people like to go into the bathroom to tap.
It's a quiet space where nobody interrupts.
They may tap in the shower or they might even tap while they're brushing their teeth So make the decision today that you're going to use tapping.
Let's say you're going to try it for the next 30 days.
And then choose when you're going to start to use it.
You can always add more during the day,
Maybe a particularly stressful day.
You'll want to add a few more rounds of tapping,
But every day pick one moment during that day,
Usually either getting up or going to bed.
And allow yourself to experience the tapping and to allow the relaxation to occur in your body.
Somatic tapping incorporates more breathing than traditional EFT tapping.
And combining the tapping with the deep breathing gives the body more than one way to relax and de-stress.
We all encounter stress in our daily lives and living in a constant state of being on edge isn't good for us.
So the goal is to bring tapping into your routine in a way that helps you feel more peace and calm from day to day.
I hope this playlist,
