Thank you for being here.
I will be happy to hear something from you in the chat box,
In the comment section.
Well,
Let me start with a short introduction.
My name is Diana Mirzayeva.
I am a life coach,
A meditation teacher here on Inside Time,
A meditation teacher.
It is personally one of my favorite topics,
Not only to discuss but also to study during,
I guess,
My whole life because human beings,
As we are,
We are really complex.
And I can start with mentioning that our physical body and our mentality cannot be separated.
And this is what makes this topic so important and so essential.
Also,
Everything that I am going to say here,
This is my personal opinion,
This is my perspective and I wouldn't say that it is the eternal truth.
So if we disagree,
That is completely perfect and I will be really happy to hear your opinion or experience here in the comment section.
And also in the very beginning I want to thank Inside Timer for providing this space for all of us to get together,
For me to share my thoughts with you openly guys and I really hope that you will also enjoy that.
I would like to say that I chose this topic not only because it's my professionally favorite one but that I have come this way myself as well.
I'm loving working with integrity or inner balance with my clients and I see really beautiful results and building this integrity within is something that all of us,
Every human being can do.
But for many years I personally was struggling with finding the inner balance because you know I'm a liberal and it's always about finding the balance in life for me.
Well,
Partly it's a joke but it has some point.
And I can finally say that,
Not that I found permanent balance in life but I know how it is possible to find it and I am no longer afraid to lose it.
So the base of the balance is my body connection which we are going to discuss a little bit more.
And of course in different periods of life our priorities may change,
We might feel different.
Probably sometimes we will give priority to our physical bodies,
To our physiology and in some moments or even longer periods of time we will respect and pay attention more to our spiritual journeys,
To our mentality.
And all of that is completely normal,
It is what life essentially is.
And nonetheless,
None of this physiology or mentality loses its importance whenever it might be.
And today let's explore what mind-body connection is and how it can be beneficial.
So the guys who are here,
I would really love to hear your thoughts.
What is mind-body connection for you?
How important you find it in your life?
Whether you could feel this contact,
This connection inside of you or not.
Well yeah,
I am just very open to hearing your experiences.
Let me just give some examples how these two main bases of our integrity might feel differently.
So maybe for some of you guys it will be quite obvious but these are just general examples.
So at some point of our life we may forget or be quite overwhelmed to take care of our bodies or of our diet,
Of our physical health.
And maybe we start to lack exercise or we kind of forget to eat nutritious food and probably give priorities to some other types of nourishment,
Let's say.
And we are going to feel the effects of it not only in our physical body such as we might have less energy,
We might feel more lazy or less active but it will also essentially influence our emotions.
And that has to play a big role with our hormones and our chemicals in the body that are produced not only when we are practicing sports and we suddenly feel more endorphins in our body and so on but also when we eat nutritious food that provide us some special nutrients and chemicals for our bodies.
And thus we can find that we feel more tired or lose interest in anything that we do if we just stop paying enough attention to our physical bodies.
We probably will also tend to close up and to socialize less so it will also impact our social life.
On the other hand,
If we concentrate more on our physics such as the contrast to the first point,
Maybe we go to the gym regularly,
Exercise actively,
We eat well but we do not have enough time,
Or better to say we do not dedicate enough time to our hobbies or to our social interactions,
Something that just fills our soul up and our spirits.
We become to start feeling more like robots so we are just doing something,
Maybe taking care of everybody,
Working hard and trying to get all this stuff together but soon we lose interest again.
Why?
Because we need this space and freedom to be creative,
To feel alive,
To feel playful,
To have simply seen free time to create more space for our spirit to live.
And when we have it all,
When we find balance which is deeply personal for everyone between our physical body and our spirit,
Between our physiology and mentality,
This is what I find the most beautiful part of life,
The most nourishing moment that I hope all of us will experience and from that state we can create,
We can see our purpose,
We can have inspiration and we will definitely inspire other people.
And this is why I love working with this topic because for me personally it is the most essential part of being a human being,
Of living here on Earth so it's the most beautiful thing that anyone can achieve and feel.
Alright,
So this is how I see the topic,
How I feel it and let me just make a little conclusion here that this balance that I just described which I said can bring us lots of advantages and just can transform our lives for the better.
This is why Mind-Body Connection is so important.
Yeah,
I would like to mention it is my first live event and it is the first in the series I am hoping to hold to host this live event weekly every Wednesday so if you guys feel it is of your interest please join me this time,
The next week for another aspect of the discussion.
Well,
So let me continue from where I stopped and coming back to this balance,
To the integrity.
I believe the path to finding,
To looking for this balance is something sacred in its core.
Probably some can say it's the meaning of life,
To balance and why not?
Why would I disagree with that?
And it is very beautiful to see how,
For example,
My clients are walking this way and are finding themselves and open up and get to know who they really are.
So this is another magical moment that I can call it this way when we get to know our souls and our bodies at the same time.
So as I mentioned earlier we are multidimensional beings and we are very complex but this is what makes us all unique and so beautiful.
In the end I would probably like to mention a short but very effective,
Quite simple but really working practice that will help us to feel ourselves and the bodies and to see,
To feel and observe our spirits.
What I'm talking about probably some of you guys already know is a simple breath work.
When speaking about breath work I am always remembering that our breath system is the only system in our body that we can control,
We have the power to control as human beings.
We can't control any other systems but this we have the power to do so.
And naturally I get the question why?
Probably because our bodies,
Our nature has a deep message within that.
Probably because we have the power to change not only our breath but to learn something from that process of breathing.
So I try to see our breath not as a biological movement of our chest and lungs and oxygen traveling through all our cells but something more spiritual because of the fact that we have the power to control that.
So for now,
For probably a couple of moments I would suggest to all of us to close the eyes,
Take a deep breath in the beginning and you guys can also use your hands.
You can put one of them on your chest,
Another one on your belly and try to feel your breath not only inside your torso,
Inside your body but also in the movement of your hands.
Let your breath be natural,
Do not force anything but just try to watch it as an observer.
Let's also try to make our breaths out about twice as long as our breath is in.
That will be very beneficial for our vagus nerve,
For us to calm our minds and bodies and settle into a more peaceful state.
Alright,
So let's prepare our hands.
Just take a deep breath in and you can side out.
Let your eyes gently close and let it be your personal,
Your own practice.
Breath in and out.
In and out.
Notice at which moment your left and right hand start to move.
Let all your attention rest inside your body.
You can feel your heart beat and follow the natural flow of your inhales and exhales.
Then ask yourself who is observing the breath and who is breathing.
Do not try to find the answers right away but simply follow gentle movements of your belly,
Of your chest,
Movement of the air through your nostrils and do not follow your thoughts.
Try to concentrate somewhere inside your torso.
You can pick up a spot that feels best for you and rest your attention just right there.
And the more time we spend inside our bodies just observing the breath every physical sensation and every thought that just arises naturally in our minds we can get closer to the mind-body balance.
We are more likely to feel calmer,
To feel more self-confident and well balanced.
You guys if you want to come out of this gentle practice you can open your eyes.
Let's take another deep breath together inside out and don't forget to thank yourself for this time,
For this short practice and I want to thank all of you guys for being here in this live event.
I really enjoyed having you and I want to thank once again Insight Timer for the platform for all the opportunities that we got from here and most importantly we can get it for free.
So your donations are always welcome guys to support the platform so you can continue attending these events for free and of course listening to the immense free guided meditation library.
I will try to save this talk in my profile so if you have missed the beginning you can visit my profile and find and upload there and I really hope to see you all guys next time.
I wish you guys to enjoy this day,
Try to reflect a little more what body-mind connection is for you,
What kind of balance would you like to achieve in your life and what is lacking for you for this balance right now.
Probably you will be able to get to know yourselves a bit better.
Thank you all guys.
I guess we can finish here.
Thank you once again so much.
I really enjoyed this time together and see you later next week.
Bye everyone.
