#67. Inconvenient Truth | Vigyan Bhairav Tantra
When the truth is let in, it shakes up everything - mind, heart, and spirit. Therefore love is needed before the truth arrives. Otherwise, you will do everything to avoid the truth and no healing will ever happen. ====== To apply for joining our meditation community, please write me an email introducing yourself, your interest in the community and what can you give back to the community. Namaste sannyasa family and everyone.
A very warm welcome to all of you in this daily live meditation session with me,
Dhyansay.
We're meditating on 112 meditation techniques of Vigyan Bhairav Tantra.
In yesterday's session,
We talked about two things.
One,
The vibration of healing of health happens when truth and love,
These two vibrations come into your life.
And then we talked about what is this what we call as mind.
This Anta Hukarna,
We meditated upon four different components of the mind.
And then a question arose in a community from one of our meditators in our sannyasa family.
Let us go through this question.
This might be also your question.
And go deeper into these two topics,
Love and truth,
And these four components of the mind and meditate over it in this session.
The meditator says,
I wrote that the morning meditation session was emotional,
Confusing and peaceful.
And I would like to ask you to help me to understand first sense of self.
Second observe the source.
I was confused,
So I just went into peaceful silence.
Your explanation of the vibration of health being both love and truth was powerful.
It's difficult to completely understand and be at ease with the stared up emotions which need to be released to help healing.
I feel off center at times,
Learning to relax into the unease is probably part of the growth.
You felt emotional,
You felt confused,
You felt peaceful.
This simply shows that this session,
The vibration of this session is touching your mind,
Touching your intellect,
Raising questions,
Creating that confusion.
Is touching somewhat of your heart to create the emotions,
To stir the emotions.
Is touching your soul,
Is touching your spirit to bring you back to that peace.
So all this mixed bag of emotions,
Confusion and peace that you felt,
This is the very purpose of all these sessions.
To bring all your mind,
Your heart,
Your spirit,
All in an awakened state.
But of course,
The mind,
The intellect,
It can never understand the truth and the love.
It can never really contain the love and the truth.
The only thing it can have is footprints,
Is a proxy,
Is a shadow of whatever is being imparted,
Be it love,
Be it truth,
Be it wisdom.
Anything that comes across your way in these vibrations,
The only part which the mind can do,
The only part which the intellect can absorb is a shadow,
Is a proxy,
Is something that is not of the truth,
That is something which is of a footprint.
It is like you have a film going on and what you see in the intellect is not that entire film,
Is not in its highest resolution,
But something of a very very small resolution which is an image of what you see.
So what you contain in the intellect is never the truth,
It is simply a reflection of the truth.
Then she says,
I would like to ask you to help me to understand sense of self.
What is this sense of self?
This sense of self,
When we talk about antah karna,
When we talk about mind,
Is this ego.
This when we refer to as myself,
When we refer to as I.
This limited experience of the consciousness,
This limited experience of oneself,
When you say I am this body,
I am this mind,
I am what I can perceive,
I am what I can feel,
All this self is ahamkara.
Is this what we were referring to yesterday when we were discussing the 4 components of the mind and one of the components was ahamkara.
This sense of self.
So whatever arises when you say I,
If name comes,
If the description comes,
If the sensation comes,
If the feeling comes,
Whatever comes to your mind,
Whatever comes to your consciousness,
Anything that rises in you when you utter the word self,
When you connect to what you call as self,
Is what is referred to as self yesterday,
Is what is referred to as ahamkara,
The ego,
The I.
The second part of the question,
What is this observe the source?
So one was the sense of self and the second is observing the source.
The source can be loosely referred to something that is known as chitta.
It is important to understand chitta,
It is somewhat so obvious that is there that is driving our whole consciousness,
That is driving our whole mind,
But we never pay attention to that.
What is chitta?
Chitta in English can be referred to as a collection,
A lake,
A bank of memories,
Of thoughts,
Of imaginations,
Of anything that rises in your consciousness.
All this matter that forms the mind,
If you would google what chitta is,
The only closest English translation you would get reference from different traditions is as mind stuff or the matter that forms the mind.
So all these contents of your consciousness,
This when you refer to,
When you look within in your inner space,
Whatever rises,
Where does it rise from?
It rises from what is known as chitta,
The source.
Therefore we said observe the source,
Observe this so obvious that we have within us but we never pay attention to it.
This chitta from which all the thoughts arise,
From which all the memories,
All the knowledge arises,
This sense of self arises as well.
See that they are interlinked but slightly different.
This sense of self that you all refer to when you say I,
When you say my body,
When you say my mind,
This sense of self has its own place in your mind and the source from where this sense of self arises,
This knowledge of the self arises,
This knowledge of the memory when something from the past arises and you say that was my past,
This reference,
This comes from the source,
From chitta.
So while in meditation,
While you are contemplating on your inner space as we did yesterday and if you want to identify these different components of your inner space of what you can call as mind,
Loosely called as mind in English,
You will see that there is ahankara,
There is this sense of self and there is this source from which all this ahankara arises.
And then there is buddhi,
The intellect which dissects,
Which discerns,
Which tries to create a picture of what is happening and create an understanding for yourself to convince,
To create a rational,
To create a logic,
To serve and project this on the screen known as manas,
To serve and visualize this to you so that you can say yes,
I know on the screen of manas.
So this is what we yesterday did as meditation to observe these four components of the mind.
You say I was confused so I just went into peaceful silence.
That is absolutely fine.
Wherever you fall off the beat while you are in these sessions,
Go into silence.
That is where you once again connect to what is happening.
You once again connect to the source of this silence because behind these words is also silence.
So if you fall back to silence,
If you fall off what is being said and move into silence,
That is absolutely fine.
Your explanation of the vibration of health being love and truth was powerful.
It is difficult to completely understand and be at ease with the state of emotions which needed to be released to help healing.
I feel off center at times,
Learning to relax into the unease is probably part of the growth.
No,
Learning to be at unease,
To relax into the unease is not the spiritual growth,
Is absolutely not the way to go about things.
If you have unease in you,
That must be released,
Otherwise you will suppress that unease,
Otherwise you will build artificial layers of peace on top of that unease and that unease will always remain in you.
That unease will wait,
Will remain latent in you,
Will wait for the moment to arise where that unease will explode,
Will come out.
That unease must be let out,
It must be transformed.
You cannot relax into the unease.
Therefore the vibration of this session,
If you close your eyes,
You will hear two vibrations in these sessions.
One is of the love and the other one is of the truth.
The love that prepares you,
That prepares you for the truth to come.
Love is something that brings you to openness,
That creates the opening in you.
And truth is what is inconvenient,
Which shakes up everything in you which has been suppressed.
So both love and truth come together to create that healing,
To create that health in you.
Love that connects.
Love that opens your heart.
Love that opens your spirit.
Truth that brings that unease,
That takes all that is creating that unease and shakes it out of your system,
Out of your heart,
Out of your mind,
Out of your spirit.
This truth is always inconvenient.
Therefore we never want to come in contact with the truth.
We rather remain in love.
We rather remain in the lies because lies are more pleasant than the truth.
And to come in contact with the truth,
In the vibration of the truth,
You have to have love first.
Otherwise there is no connection.
You will come in contact with the truth and you will move away because the truth is inconvenient.
So in healing both have to happen.
Love and truth have to happen,
But love has to come first.
When you sit in these sessions,
Unless you feel the love,
Unless you connect with love with these vibrations,
Truth cannot enter you.
You will miss the truth.
You will just take away the relaxation on the surface that happens with the love of the vibration.
But you will not let your entire system,
Your entire heart and spirit shake with the truth if you don't have love.
Let us wait to go into the technique.
We will do that tomorrow because the technique that we would go into requires more explanation.
For now we will move into silence,
Into connecting with these two vibrations,
The vibration of love and the vibration of truth in this moment,
In this session.
Please close your eyes and take a posture that is comfortable for you.
Allowing your body to find a restful posture.
Your mind to calm down and your veins to turn inwards.
Awareness in your inner space.
Allowing this awareness to settle in your inner space.
Allowing this awareness to settle in your inner space.
This inner space with love and truth.
Love for whatever arises in this inner space.
And truth to simply see what is to simply observe whatever arises in your inner space approach your inner space with love and truth you you not fighting with your inner space allowing anything to rise in fall you simply observe and remain loving to your inner space you you allowing the sensations the emotions anything that arises alone as you open yourself to this inner space you you you not trying to hold on to anything simply observing your inner space allowing it to unfold whatever it brings to you approach it with love and observe it and it's true you you you and as the silence arises in you let go of all effort you in this silence let go of everything Thank you.
