Namaste and a very warm welcome to all of you in this daily morning live meditation session with me the answer my salutations to the knowledge of yoga to Patanjali for bringing this knowledge to us and for these moments of sharing this knowledge with you all for improving the experience of our life.

I would like to share a very short story which I've shared before as well but it's very relevant for what we are going to dive into today.

In a remote jungle far away from civilization some of these native villagers in that jungle who had never seen anything from the civilization they found a wreck of a plane they saw it they couldn't understand what it was the only thing they could do was to somehow carry it to their village and use it in the ways they were using other things so they put some animals in front of it to drag it and started using this as a bullock cart it had a lot of space so they could put a lot of space children from that village they were playing inside while the animal was all the time dragging this from one place to the other for a very long time they kept on using the plane as a bullock cart then few years later somehow a pilot he reached to that remote village he somehow found a way to reach to that place and he was surprised to see this wreck of a plane over there and how the villagers how these native people they were playing with it how they were utilizing this for moving things around using an animal in front of it he tried to tell them what it was but since they had no reference of what it could be they did not understand he tried his best to convince with all the drawings with all the imaginations nothing worked so he finally decided that he has to give a demonstration of what it can do so he went back and came back with some of the parts to fix the plane he fixed the plane and asked some of the villagers to join him in the ride those villagers thought maybe there is some now evil that is going to happen so they were scared of what now this plane would do but some courageous one they said okay let's join so he started the engine he took his runway and then he took off and the villagers who were looking at and have been using this plane several years as a bullock cart they couldn't believe their eyes what this was meant for what this all could do and those villagers who were with him in the plane they looked down they could see the entire village for the very first time with a completely new view they could see the entire island they could see the ocean around that island which they had never seen from that view our mind is somewhat like that is that wrecked plane we don't know how it became wrecked how it how we put ourselves into a position where the mind has to be fixed where we once again have to put it back in order and evolve from how we are using it today to what is the highest potential of the mind yoga meditation spirituality is all about putting mine back in order and using it to its highest potential using our capabilities using our awareness or being a mind a body all together as one integrated unit in a way which is far away from our imagination the capabilities are just we have absolutely no no no idea no conception of it but it is a possibility it is a reality if we work towards it and yoga provides guidelines to work towards to reaching our highest potential with the body with a mind we're discussing yoga sutras of Patanjali and in current sutras in today's sutras Patanjali is exactly talking about what happens when you use the mind when the vritti of the mind when the modifications of the mind when the problems of the mind are not there let us shortly hear what Patanjali has to say before we sit in meditation Patanjali says Paramanu Paramhatva Antya Asya Vashikara what that means is his mastery extends from the finest atom to the greatest infinity so the yogi's mind once he's meditating he becomes unobstructed ly available to the atomic to the infinite when you know how to use the mind when you know how to calibrate the mind rightly you can discover from the atomic to the infinite just think about it now we have all these sophisticated instruments like the microscope or the telescope to look at the very atomic reality of life to the very cosmic reality of life and we use these instruments to observe to understand to realize where we are what we are doing and what is reality but our mind is even more powerful instrument it's finer than any microscope it's it can see much further than any telescope it can calibrate itself to go and to the finest details to the atomic details of anything that you want to understand beat yourself beat the world same it can understand the entire cosmos in in its entirety the entire infinity can be accessed with the mind provided that the mind is calibrated rightly provided that the mind is used rightly and yoga is a science to exactly work towards that if you're interested to develop your mind to its highest potential to discover what all abilities you have yoga is the path for you the next sutra which is also related and relevant where Patanjali says sheen of rithi abhi abhi jata seva manera gritha gharana graheshu that's the Tarajanatha samapati what that means is a yogi whose vittis have become powerless obtains in the receiver receiving and received concentratedness and sameness like the crystal this is quite fascinating and interesting to understand Patanjali says through yoga through meditation when the mind loses its vritti or the vrittis the modifications the disturbances the waves of thoughts that are constantly disturbing us once that becomes less once they lose power on over you over your mind and the mind is calm the mind is somewhat free of these constant distractions constant vrittis constant things that are taking the power away from the mind are constantly engaging the mind once they are not there then all the three become equal become powerful the received what is the received the object the receiver who is the receiver the one inside of you that perceives everything that receives everything and the receiving the process the mind they all three align rightly in such a powerful way that you can understand anything you can get any knowledge that you want of the world of yourself and this process of the received the receiving and the receiver they all align in a perfect way in a perfect alignment and the mind deflects the reality just the way it is in other situations when you win the object when the received is perceived by your receiver there are modifications which are constantly twisting the facts which are constantly twisting the reality and creating its own version creating its own illusion of things so in order to come to truth in order to come to reality in order to perceive things as they are you have to have this alignment of the received of receiving and the receiver that happens with meditation when your vrittis when these disturbances are not coming and constantly engaging with the mind so we'll practice this today in our meditation in our silence where we'll first of all become aware of this process of the object of the observer and the process of observing and try to concentrate them try to align them in a perfect crystalline form so that there is no distraction so that you see the truth the way it is the object of today's meditation will be very simple will be our own breath and we'll keep our awareness in our inner world and examine the breath observe the breath focus on not just the breath but who is observing the breath and the process of this observation as well during meditation I'll guide you through these steps as and when needed and the rest is you have to just let go in silence and relax in these moments let us close our eyes and take a posture that is comfortable with our back straight shoulders down head stable face relaxed you and your awareness turn inwards towards your breath as you breathe in breathe out become aware of your breath you you As you draw your attention from all directions on your breath,

The distractions,

The thoughts,

The vrittis slowly lose their power.

Allow that to happen without forcing anything.

With every breath,

Your body settles,

Becomes still,

Your mind calms down,

And your awareness is more and more along with your breath.

V Clinit blast.

Stay with your breath.

Observe it flowing naturally,

Gently in and out.

Stay with your breath.

Observe it flowing naturally,

Gently in and out.

Stay with your breath.

As the awareness settles on your breath,

Notice who's observing the breath.

Shift your awareness from your breath to who's observing your breath.

As the awareness settles on your breath,

Notice who's observing your breath.

As the awareness settles on your breath,

Notice who's observing your breath.

As the awareness settles on your breath,

Notice who's observing your breath.

As the awareness settles on your breath,

Notice who's observing your breath.

Now in your awareness,

It's both the observer and the observer.

And the object,

Your breath,

In who's observing that breath.

As the awareness settles on your breath,

Notice who's observing your breath.

Observe your breath.

Observe the observer.

Put them together.

Observe.

Observe.

Become aware of this entire process.

Of your breath flowing in and out.

The awareness of the observer,

The awareness of the breath,

And the awareness of this entire process.

Allow everything to become one.

Allow everything to become one in your awareness.

You can also allow everything to become one in your awareness.

Leave all effort.

Simply remain silent and aware.

Still awareness expands.

Allow it to expand.

If it moves,

Allow it to move.

If it settles,

Let it settle.

You remain silent.

You remain silent.

Maintain the stillness,

The centeredness,

Silence,

And awareness of your inner space.

You remain silent.

You may continue to sit longer in this silent awareness.

Come out of it whenever you like at your own pace.

All very gently and slowly you may open your eyes,

Maintaining this meditative state.

And taking this to your day,
