Life is not a problem to be solved. We see everything as a problem and get busy trying to find a solution. This wonderful creation that we call life was never designed as a problem for us intelligent beings to come and solve. Rather we are given a chance to live this mystery with joy, excitement, love, compassion, and intelligence. Intelligence not of the mind, but of the heart and the being.

Namaste and a very warm welcome to all of you in this daily morning live meditation session with me,

Dehansi.

Life is not a problem to be solved.

If you see the way we have looked at this world,

The way we understand this world,

Everyone is solving problems.

The problem of food,

The problem of shelter,

The problem of money,

The problem of this and the problem of that.

Everyone is just solving problems.

We see the world only as problems and solutions and the greater the intelligence,

The greater the problems we are solving,

The greater the solutions we are building for those problems as if life is a problem.

This creation,

This existence is not a problem.

It is not a problem to be solved and be busy with either the problem or the solution.

It is a mystery to be lived.

But we don't understand this.

Even the most intelligent people amongst us,

We are so much in the mind and the mind is only trained to see everything as a problem that in this process of solving problem for the society,

Solving problem for this or that,

We only understand life as a problem and a solution and hence there is no joy and hence there is no love and there is no compassion and there is no real juice of life.

The most intelligent ones are still living in the intelligence of the head.

The intelligence here of this world which is leading the world today is living in the intelligence of the head.

Somewhere down the line,

They have undermined the intelligence of the heart,

The intelligence of the being and until we live the intelligence of the heart,

Intelligence of the being,

Life will appear to be a problem to be solved and then there is no contentment.

No matter how great the problem that you are solving from one problem will come another problem,

Even bigger problem and so on.

Two Martians,

They came to earth,

Spaceship landed,

They came out of their spaceship,

Very bizarre looking.

Mr and Mrs Martian,

They were both scientists and wanted to understand how people are living on earth,

What earth is all about.

So they went on to their exploration,

They carefully selected from a range of people to candidates,

A newlywed couple,

Mr and Mrs Mooli and they decided to have some sort of a conversation,

Some sort of an interaction with them.

So after long arrangements,

They finally met and they were discussing one topic after the other,

After all these guys were scientists.

So they were taking,

Collecting all the data,

Analyzing all the problems,

All the solutions,

How earth,

People on earth are solving their problems so that they can learn and take this knowledge back to Mars.

And lots of topics were covered,

Eventually the topic of reproduction came.

This was a difficult one to explain,

So the Martians,

They thought,

Let us quickly give them a demonstration first and then the people on the earth can,

They can understand how we do it on the Mars.

So before this Mr and Mrs Schaff,

The couple from earth,

They could resist the Martians,

They took off their helmet.

The male Martian put his head on top of the head of the female Martian and in three seconds the head of the female Martian opened,

Baby Martian came out,

Started crawling on the floor.

The Mr and Mrs Schaff,

They looked at it quite amazed,

So quick and such an efficient process.

Then the Martian couple looked at Mr and Mrs Schaff to demonstrate,

They had no choice but to do it and they said,

Okay finally for the sake of this interplanetary cooperation,

Let us demonstrate how do we do it on earth.

They gave the demonstration,

They did their thing after several minutes,

The act was over but the Martians could not understand,

So the female Martian,

She asked Mrs Schaff,

Where is the baby,

When is the baby coming?

The female Martian said,

Well it will take nine months,

It will come in nine months.

The male Martian still could not understand,

He said,

Then why were you so excited in the end?

If you did not get the point of the joke,

There is no point of the joke,

Just like there is no point of life,

It is only how much are you excited about life,

Only when you live the intelligence of the heart,

Intelligence of your being,

Then you are excited about life.

And life appears not a problem and a solution but a mystery to be lived.

In order to train oneself to come step down of the mind,

To also open up the intelligence of the heart,

Of love,

Compassion,

Of the being,

We went through what we call as Atisha's seven point mind training over the last five weeks.

Today I am excited to close Atisha's seven point mind training.

We have gone through a tremendous journey together.

I hope you took the message of Atisha,

Of love,

Of compassion,

Of moving away only from living in the mind to a state called no mind into the emptiness,

Into the awareness where you see and live the truth of life just the way it is supposed to be.

For the formal closure,

I will go through the final sutras of the seventh point of Atisha's seven point mind training.

Atisha says,

Don't vacillate,

Don't fluctuate in your practice.

Once you have decided that you would like to bring meditation in your life,

Don't fluctuate,

Don't evaluate,

Don't judge it by the mind,

Feel it from your heart and go for it.

Begin wholeheartedly,

Liberate yourself by examining and analyzing.

Once again,

Atisha is imploring for us to use the intelligence and not just the intelligence of the mind,

Of the intellect,

Of the analysis,

But also the intelligence of the heart to approach the world with love and compassion and see that there is liberation in it,

There is peace in it,

There is tranquility in it.

Don't brag,

Don't be consumed by jealousy,

Don't be temperamental and don't expect applause.

I find Atisha like a mother,

Although he was a man,

But he had this motherly way of teaching where even in the end,

Just like when a mother is letting the child go into the world,

She is still looking out from the corner and telling the child to do this or not to do that.

Atisha has delivered his practice to us.

He has given what is the most essential going through these seven point mind training and now even in the end,

He is from the back,

From the corner,

Still saying don't brag,

Don't be jealous and giving us these pointers to settle in our mind,

To settle in our hearts as we meditate along,

As our consciousness unfolds,

Although all of this will be taken care of by itself.

You will not have to practice to not be jealous,

To not brag,

To not wait for the applause.

All this will become your natural,

Your nature,

Your natural attitude towards life and your natural approach towards life if you bring the art of meditation,

This component,

Essential component of silence and awareness in your life.

With that formal closure,

I thank all of you who have gone through this journey with me and I hope that along this journey,

The seeds that you have sown for yourself will manifest at some point of time.

So keep on practicing,

Keep on moving into silence,

Awareness every day with me,

Without me in the 30 minutes of sessions that we do and also during your daily life.

With that,

Let us move into the silence,

Into the meditative silence for the last session of Atisha's 7 point mind training.

Please close your eyes.

Keep an upright posture.

Head straight.

And your breath flowing gently in and out.

Awareness turned inwards.

Watching your breath.

Bb As you observe your breath,

Don't let your mind try to solve the moment.

Be in this moment,

Observe your breath as if there's nothing to be solved,

No problem to be addressed.

Simply stay in the moment and observe your breath.

Be in the moment and observe your breath as if there's nothing to be solved,

No problem to be solved,

No problem to be solved.

Not trying to change anything,

Not trying to change the flow of breath,

Simply observing your breath.

And with every breath,

Allowing your body to settle,

Allowing your mind to settle.

And with every breath,

Allowing your mind to settle.

In these silent moments,

Allow the energy to open up your heart with every breath.

And with every breath,

Allowing your mind to settle.

And with every breath,

You can feel the energy of your heart.

As you observe your breath,

Feel the energy of your heart with every breath that you take.

Let every breath take you deeper in yourself.

And feel the core of your energies.

Stay with your heart,

Stay with your energies,

If you wish to stay longer,

Let everything go and be in this silent awareness for as long as you like,

Keeping your eyes closed.

Keeping your eyes closed or very gently and slowly you may open your eyes maintaining this meditative state of inner peace,

Centeredness,

Silence with the mind put in its right place with the heart open to share love and compassion and you're being ready to express itself in this beautiful world not made out of problems and solutions but a mystery to be lived every moment with that I think once again all of you to take part in this series on Atisha's seven-point mind training we will start with yoga Sutras of Patanjali tomorrow at 7 a.
