Sunday Stillness E:2- Mother Earth's Mothers Day Message
by Devon Kerns
Welcome to Sunday Stillness. This live episode focuses on a message from Mother Earth on Mothers Day. In todays conversation we have a message from Gaia about our connection to the little things in life. How do we slow down enough to see the messages, signs and synergy that comes from the smallest of things vs. the parting of the skys and sea?
Transcript
I really want this to be a moment of no distraction and an hour together where we can find just a moment of stillness.
And if I can feel that moment of stillness,
Then I am able to bring that forward throughout my week and remember what it felt like to tap into that.
And I'll dive into why I'm creating these here in a minute.
I want to give you all a heads up that while this is being recorded,
Unless there is something super exciting or profound that hits you and you want to share and you don't mind it being shared with the world other than that,
And you letting me know that it's okay to share it,
This will only be my voice that is going out into the world.
So if we do take a minute to share anything or if anything you just want to share with this group or ask any questions along the way,
Then feel free to.
So welcome to the second official Sunday stillness.
And I'm going to start most of these with a quote that's really struck me.
And I probably repeat it to myself many times a day,
Including in conversations with people throughout the day.
And it's from Lao Tzu,
And it is to the mind that is still the universe surrenders.
And as I said last week,
And I'll continue to say the more I actually explore that statement,
The deeper and more profound it gets to have stillness of mind and allowing that stillness to give me access to universal and infinite knowledge for healing,
For peace,
For joy,
For creating,
For abundance is powerful.
But what it is saying is the universe surrenders.
Now,
If we take ego out of that equation,
And it's hard for me to do to think about the universe surrendering without finding some attachment to ego.
Look at me,
It's surrendering for me.
Cool.
Look how powerful I am,
Which is true,
But there are different vibrations around that.
There is the,
We all are,
And the infinite one that I am able to access.
And then there is Devon,
As I was listening to a friend yesterday,
He was reading from a passage that said,
Our ego is like a gnat yelling into the universe.
And it's this busy little sound that has no power,
No anything,
But we put all of our attention on the net instead of the universe.
And in stillness,
We can find and tap into our universal connection,
That one connection,
That divine infinite connection.
And so just for a moment,
I want this hour together to be that for you and all of those listening.
Laurie,
Thanks for joining us.
So happy you're here.
And during this hour,
I also have been struck to reach out to whatever messages come through,
Some variations of cards,
And I'm just so grateful for that.
And I'm so grateful for that.
And I'm so grateful for that.
And I'm so grateful for that.
And I'm so grateful for that.
Variations of cards.
Today,
It actually came from Mother Earth,
Which I found perfect for Mother's Day.
And we'll dive into that here in a minute.
But first,
I want all of us to take a moment and do a little bit of breathing and find that piece within so that we can carry it together over the next 50 minutes.
So close your eyes.
And as you breathe in,
Allow your diaphragm to expand out.
And hold at the top of that breath.
And then exhale,
Allowing diaphragm to collapse.
Breathe in using the diaphragm again.
Let it expand like a balloon.
Hold,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Release.
Now,
As we do one more,
In this last breath together,
I want you to feel the air entering your nose and hitting the middle of your brain,
Right where the pineal gland is.
And as you hold,
Feel your body tingle.
Let the oxygen run through the body and feel and be aware of your whole body.
And as you exhale,
Feel the air exiting your lips.
And if there's anything to release,
Allow it to be released.
Breathe out.
Breathe in through the nose.
Hold,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Exhale.
And open your eyes.
Welcome.
It's always fun when we connect and then seeing the eyes open and there seems to be a little bit more of a brighter ray pouring out of you after you've dropped in a little bit.
As I go through this today,
Embrace the pause.
As I go through this today,
Embrace the pause between my words.
Challenge yourself to not hear the noises coming from my mouth,
But even in a sentence,
Feel what's behind my words,
Hear what's behind my words.
Whether they are Devon's words or words that I feel coming through me,
Feel them deeply,
Listen deeply,
And fall in love with the pause.
For the pause is more profound than any word.
That is where your access is.
On this Mother's Day,
It most likely means different things to different people.
We would all love to have access to that.
Nurturing soul,
That mothering human,
But humans are humans,
So I don't know what those listening will experience and what they have experienced with their own mother.
I don't know what they will experience with their own mother.
I don't know what those listening will experience and what they have experienced with their own mother.
And as we are in a world that is chaotic and busy and we're exiting the time frame of COVID where we were all putting time out,
I'm watching and feeling the world choose old patterns again.
And if we want something different,
We have to find new patterns.
And this is a major reason I've decided to start doing this,
Is for myself and those who decide to listen to hopefully provide all of us moments where we can connect and release old patterns and re-establish a connection beyond our own ego,
Our humanness,
Our busy lives,
Our systems and models that have programmed us so well.
And on this Mother's Day,
I feel a deep connection to Gaia,
Patra Mama,
Mother Earth.
And as I connected with her this morning,
Her first message is that she is asking us to be connected to her again,
But not for the sake of saving her.
She'll be fine.
She was fine before we were here.
It is egoic to think that we have a dramatic effect on her in the billions of years.
We are affecting her today with our toxicity and our waste.
But she will be fine.
She wants us to be here longer,
Which is why we need to be more cautious of our environment.
And she is asking that we give over to her our pain,
Our frustration.
And as we release these things that have impacted us and created a toxic internal environment,
We will be more aware of how to serve the greater part of humanity in protecting our environments around us.
These moments of stillness,
And particularly today,
I would love for us to move into that nurturing mother energy.
And in her safe arms,
Look at what we need to release.
What can we hand over to her that can be transformed?
Pain and suffering,
Frustration,
Bloodlines with pain and frustration,
Lack,
Dis-ease and unwillingness to let go of our ego,
Our need to be something when in our nothing we are just as great as we could be in our greatest something.
I want you to move into this next meditation.
And I'm a big proponent of finding this space of done.
And today's version of this meditation will be a little bit different in leaning into this mothering energy.
And the reason I'm such a big advocate for space of done is when there's nothing to do,
Then I can feel the stillness.
And I can look inside and find the things that might be stirring that are creating dis-ease or a disruption to my peace.
And I can work with those things.
So as we move into this,
Just be curious,
What would it feel like to be in this space of done?
As we move into this,
Just be curious,
What would it feel like to be done?
Done serving in the ways you want to serve,
Done with the creating empires and businesses.
Knowing that we can always create more,
But are we in pursuit of an endless chase?
Or can all that I need and all that I want be here now in a done space and know that I can create?
And maybe it's easier to create and heal when I'm not in a constant pursuit of something that I think is not here when in fact it is.
This is done.
So if we close our eyes again,
No matter your human relationship with mom,
See if we can visit her today as I walk you through and you just hear my words and allow me to guide you.
See if you can find the connection to Pachamama,
Gaia,
Mother Earth,
From that nurturing perspective.
Think of how she feeds us,
Protects us,
Gives us water,
Gives us life.
No matter what your background is in spirituality or religion,
All great texts tell us that we came from her in some way,
Shape,
Or form.
Find that nurturing vibration as I take you on a little journey.
Imagine walking down a path in the deepest jungle or in the densest forest.
As you're walking you are connecting with every step,
Every step as you dropping in deeper and deeper.
Maybe for the first time in your life as you are walking through this path,
Connecting with the idea that there is no more to do,
It is done.
It is done.
You are not pursuing anything.
You are not chasing anything.
You are not chasing anything.
You are infinitely connected to every step.
As you're walking through this forest or jungle,
Feel the air,
Feel the breeze,
Feel the connection to that which is around you,
The trees,
The sounds,
So deeply and profoundly connected to every step.
You can't just hear the crunching of the gravel under your feet,
You hear the ants crawling on the trees,
Crawling on the trees,
The movement of the baby birds in the nest,
You can hear it all deeply and profoundly.
And as you're walking through this forest or jungle,
You find a nice mossy patch.
And that mossy patch backs up to a giant tree.
And as you sit on that mossy patch or lay down,
You allow your body to sink into Mother Earth.
And as you rest and you connect with her nurturing energy,
Her loving energy,
Feel what's inside of you that you want to say to her.
Feel what she says in return.
And as you sink deeper into this great mother,
She comes to you in physical form.
You can see her walking through the forest to you.
And as she nears close to you,
She walks behind you and sits behind you in the tree.
And she wraps her arms around you.
You can feel her infinite love.
And she asks,
What do you need and want to give over to me?
What do you need and want and desire to give over to her that you have been carrying with you?
For so long,
Lean back into her arms.
Explore in her safety that which you have been afraid to explore and give it to her.
No need to hold on to it,
No need to understand it.
Just give it to her.
Maybe it's an energy you don't even understand.
Feel her take it.
And be still.
Feel the love she gives you in return with no expectation.
Feel the pure love that is within you.
Knowing she does not need it in return,
Give it to yourself.
Let that love trigger and unleash all that has held you back.
Let that love heal all that is in dis-ease.
Let her love pour through you.
And maybe for the first time,
Let your love feel your whole body.
See it in your cells.
Feel it deeply.
So so so so so so so so take a deep breath in.
Take a deep breath in.
And for one more moment,
Sink deeper into her mothering arms.
Her love.
So see if just for a minute in this stillness you can access the one.
Through her arms,
Through her love,
Through your love,
Right in the heart center,
Feel it expand.
Feel it fill the room.
Feel it expand beyond the room.
From your heart,
You are expanding globally,
Expanded universally,
And sink into that one love.
So so so feel her hug and feel your hug back.
Thank her for taking this moment with you,
For loving us so deeply.
Thank her for providing food,
Water,
Shelter,
And life.
And as you see her walk into the forest,
Feel deep profound gratitude for her and for yourself for taking this time.
Gratitude is the gateway to joy and peace.
Gratitude is the gateway to ending the endless pursuit.
For when I am grateful for what I have now,
Then I have all that I need.
And when I have all that I need,
I can create infinitely in any present moment.
So start to wiggle your toes.
Move your legs around a little bit.
Move your hands and your arms and your shoulders.
Come back to this body.
So there's no need to share and just a reminder what you share if you do.
It does not go out on the recording,
But if you felt something or heard something or have anything you'd like to share or ask,
Please feel free to do so.
Take a moment to see if there is anybody.
On this Mother's Day,
We can all tap into this divine feminine energy,
Which is a creative force.
It is a nurturing force and energy.
And it is powerful.
For she,
That energy is the creator of all life and all of the universe.
And while it feels so loving and good to sit in the nurturing side,
For many of us,
We are looking to do big things and create big things in the world.
And she is the great creator,
Not just Mother Earth,
But that feminine energy.
Harness her power and find balance between her and the masculine,
The masculine being the pillar,
The sun,
The seed,
The boundaries of a river,
The feminine being everything else.
All life,
All creation,
All creativity.
She is power.
And she has been suppressed for quite some time.
And she is calling to be unleashed again,
Particularly here on this planet,
So that we can protect the future generations and humans.
And advance and evolve.
We're doing it anyways.
Just a matter of can we do it from heart and can we do it from love and can we do it from respect and honor and not war and boundaries and mine versus yours.
It was a fun game while we played it.
Now it's time to wake up.
That's why we're here.
The message from this little book from Mother Earth.
Here is the mandala.
For those listening I'll throw up a picture of it.
And it's the abyss.
The central piece of this mandala carries a master symbol of resurrection bringing you the strength you need to dive within the abyss of your heart.
And let your true you come through.
Exploring the infinitely small will help you understand the much bigger picture.
It will give you access to your higher self.
In the tiniest of your cells you will find the memories from your life,
From your ancestors lives.
And even from your own past lives.
This is a lot of weight to carry.
This card is an opportunity to write a new page and drop your luggage at the bottom of the ocean.
Give it over to Mother Earth.
Your rebirth will be witnessed by the sky and the earth.
Now what will you do to make it work?
If you choose my.
.
.
I don't know if I want to call it a challenge or not but I'll call it a challenge.
Explore the small both inside and out this week.
If you're on a walk find the little spider as I found dancing in front of me while I was working away on my laptop.
This tiny little spider wouldn't leave me alone.
And then the woo-woo version of me decided well what's the meaning of a spider and I looked it up and it was a perfect message ironically and then it was gone.
There are messages everywhere and we always want to find the big message.
We need to see the earth,
Ocean and sky part.
And then we go wow yeah did you see that?
The reality is the smallest things are there waiting for you to recognize them.
Both inside of you and out.
Find them this week.
Play with them.
Many of them have a shadow.
We are desperately afraid of spiders for good reason.
It will kill you if it's the wrong one or the right one.
But if you let go of fear just for a moment and you're willing to look that spider or that shadow however tiny it might be wherever it is hidden.
If you look at it it has a message and it always has a message of light.
There is nothing but light.
Shadow is merely the absence of light but it all stems from the same place.
So if we are not afraid to explore that and we can shine our light on it,
Stare at it,
It will give you a message.
Potentially a profound one that allows for you to release it and shine in ways that are far beyond your wildest dreams and allow the universe to unfold in ways that is far beyond our own imagination.
And in the small you can find peace,
Space,
Love,
And stillness.
I'm extremely grateful for all of you joining us today.
No matter what the environment,
No matter what the experience,
Whether you had an incredible mother or a frustrating one,
Send them love for you are here through them.
Be with them in energy and in person deeply and profoundly.
Love them deeply and profoundly regardless.
For we're all doing the best that we can.
I send you on this day,
Sunday,
Mother's Day,
Off into the world with so much love and gratitude for being here and taking time to listen.
I wish you the best.
Thanks for being here guys.
I appreciate you.
Happy Moms Day for the moms out there,

You bet brother.
