Chakras.
Now chakra is a Sanskrit word that means circle.
So we have seven chakras within our physical body.
We have transpersonal chakras which means that they are above us and below us as well.
Transpersonal just meaning that it's not in the personal,
It's not in the body.
It's in our energetic system and we there's probably millions of chakras that move beyond.
It's just that we can only connect to some and as we expand our energy we will have access to higher and higher energies as well.
The reason that I say that is because people get really hooked up in the seven chakras and this system was put into place thousands of years ago,
Mainly by the Hindus.
And what they knew then is the information that they found out about it that's what's in the texts.
And a lot of people still work with that.
And that's three thousand years ago,
Two three thousand years ago,
If not longer.
And we are far more evolved than what they were.
Now that I don't mean that to sound arrogant,
Our consciousness has expanded,
We've become more.
Which means we have more information to bring to what was put into place,
To bring that information up.
So in saying that the chakra system has been applied for energetic diagnostics I suppose in a lot of ways,
In healing,
In the healing industry.
And we don't ever want to diagnose anything.
Of course the mind wants to because it wants to say,
Oh this is happening because of this and now we do this so that this happens.
And that's fine for our physical body because by the time something hits our physical body it needs to be physically looked at and the physical aid that comes to it needs to apply.
So in other words if we break a leg you can't just give Reiki to a leg,
A broken leg,
You can't just will it back into to be healed.
It needs to be physically healed,
It needs to be physically looked after.
And then once everything is healed then we can then look at the patterns that may have caused us to fall over or whatever,
It doesn't matter.
So our chakras are a way to help us understand how we interpret the energetic world.
We're very used to looking at the world through our physical eyes and our physical senses where we've got so adept at doing that,
That we look at the world and we interpret it through our physical senses.
So we interpret it through our eyes,
Through our nose,
Through our mouth,
What we hear and what we physically feel.
And because the sensations are so vivid it feels more real than the energy or the vibrations or what we feel inside of us.
Now your chakras are a way to help you interpret the energetic vibes or the or energy.
So as your physical senses interpret the physical world your chakras help you to interpret the energetic world.
The world that we can't see,
The world that we tend to think is a bit like it's not really there.
We know it's there because at time to time we feel things and we we go oh yeah I feel really I feel like I really love that person or I feel like I really don't like that person or I don't like what's going on over there I've got a vibe about it.
So but it's not something that we're very good at using.
We tend to just whatever comes up the beliefs that we have we place on that feeling and so it tends to be not very accurate.
So any type of hmm I don't mean that doesn't mean to be accurate it's just that we're not we've not used to it.
We're so good at interpreting with our physical senses we have not done the work on learning how to interpret with our energetic system or the chakras.
So what are our chakras?
So again as I said they're circles of energy that are moving within us.
Think of them as points of like a vortex or a point of energy a point of time or a point of space within us that things come in and come out and move in and move out.
Now each chakra has a different vibration it has a different energy level.
So we have our base chakra so we start at one to seven.
Number one is our base chakra which sits at the bottom of our spine.
Number two is our sacral which sits at just under our belly button and number one I'll just go back again sorry your base chakra is about your foundations your survival how you feel about life so when we move or when we move jobs or when something like that happens we can tend to feel like we've had the rug pulled from underneath us but that's because our base chakra feels a bit wobbly.
Then you have your sacral which is the next one up and that pertains to our sexuality our inner child our creativity our emotions the way that we relate to the world because everything that we look at we're in a relationship with it as well.
Next up is your solar plexus which I talked about before and your solar plexus of course is your place of self-esteem self awareness self knowing.
Now these three chakras are our physical chakras and they are the things that we tend to work with more in because we're living in a physical world so our survival how we look after our self our relationships how we relate to the world around us and the people around us what we do with that how we create with that and how we feel about ourselves in this world so we have red orange and yellow.
So our next chakra is our heart and the heart is the bridge between your physical chakras and your spiritual chakras so your spiritual ones up here are your throat your third eye and your crown so the the heart of course is unconditional love and what is unconditional love mean it just means complete balance complete centeredness where there is no judgment it everything is allowed to be just as it is.
Now if we've got lots of walls up around our heart if we're protecting our heart it's very difficult to have a flow between your physical chakras and your spiritual chakras and so that just means sometimes the energy flow is a little bit it's stagnant we don't tend to take so much notice of these we live here which is what a lot of people do on the earth they're looking at their survival their relationships and how they feel about themselves.
Then we have the heart which is the bridge and the throat the throat is the next one and your throat is your place of speaking your truth from your heart it's also your willingness to listen to your inner self to your higher self and your willingness to live your life from your highest values your highest potential your highest perspective so it's not only just about communicating it's about well it is it's about communicating with yourself and listening to yourself from the highest perspective.
Now when I was in my first marriage years ago I used to wake up and feel like someone was strangling me because I did not speak my truth at all in in that marriage and and there were certain words that I couldn't say I would start to talk and and there were things that I wanted to say to people and I just couldn't get them out it didn't matter what I just couldn't get them out of me and you'll know that yourself when you feel yourself swallowing and you'll also know when you can't get those words out but if you feel yourself swallowing that's an indicator that what you need you need to be able to say that in that moment now that doesn't mean we just blurted out just take awareness of that so that you can work on it later yourself but just be aware that and the reason that I wasn't saying the things that I wanted to say is because I was terrified of being alone and terrified of being abandoned and so I couldn't speak all of my words because what if that person laughed at me what if that person yelled at me or what if that person just went away based on the words that I just said so I found it what happened was I found it easier to just push them down and of course that had happened as I grew up as a child and I had never been encouraged to to say anything it was a bit like children should be seen and not hurt so you know you just learn to sit in a corner and just not say anything and so and of course that's that's what happened as I got older as well so the throat's really quite huge powerful chakra all of our chakras are but it's just a little reminder of when you feel yourself swallowing or you've you've you've really you can feel yourself gripping inside because you can't speak your truth because you're feeling like I just don't know what's going to happen when I say this that's just an indicator that there's a bit of a blockage there and as I said it doesn't mean you have to blurt it out right there and then it just means it's okay I'm just gonna sit back and reflect on this and look at maybe why I'm doing this so from our throat we go to our third eye and your third eye is your mystical eye it sits in the middle of in your forehead and what does that mean you know there's a lot touted about the third eye it is the eye that can see into places that your physical eyes can't it's probably the easiest way to say it so again like I was saying we have our physical senses and we have our energetic senses this is your energetic eye and it's a little bit like having a like a huge giraffe on top of you it's like it can see much further it can see what's going to happen further down the track it has a bigger view on things it has a much higher view on on your life so it knows the the path of least resistance for you to take for you to move towards your dreams and desires because it has a much higher overall view sometimes those things might seem a bit weird for us when we if we get messages it's like I don't know how that's gonna work why would I be doing that but it's learning to trust that and again it doesn't mean that if you don't take the advice that you get from yourself or the wisdom that you get from yourself that things are going to go away because everything just comes around as well and we get another opportunity to look at things so don't ever stress about that your third eye sees into the heart of everything so it sees a much higher perspective the wider perspective but it also sees and feels into the heart of everything so it sees the truth of what is going on underneath as well so what we want to do is we want to activate we want to open this eye so we've got three eyes open so it's like a triangle here so you're not only seeing life through your physical eyes you're also seeing it through your energetic eye as well so then you're going to get a much broader perspective of anything that you look at as well sometimes people feel like when this is open there's too much energy coming in a nice little analogy that you can use or a nice little meditation you can use is just to have a little blind that you pull down over your third eye something that a teacher taught me years ago and she said you know she said you don't want to say I'm closing my third eye down now because we don't ever close our chakras anyway because if we did we wouldn't be here there'd be no energy flowing through us but she said what you can do is because we want to be able to keep as open as possible but also we want to put up boundaries and protect ourselves to a certain extent when we're not quite used to the energy flowing so you can just visualize that there's a little blind and you can pull the blind down and when you really want to work with your third eye you can pull the blind up it's it's simple and it's easy and it makes you feel safe within yourself as well and you can actually do that with all of your chakras as well if you feel like things are getting if there's too much energy overloaded or you're not quite sure what to do with it all you're all really beautiful intelligent people who have done a lot of work on themselves and are quite well aware of themselves as well so you you'll know and things only come to us because we're ready to work with it as well so the third eye quite wonderful and lots of indigo and purple connect to that blue connect to our throat with communication and then we have our crown and your crown is your connection to higher energies and sometimes we talk about them as being your guides your angels your light beings loved ones light energies universal energies whatever you perceive that to be it is right for you there's no right there's no wrong for me I have the name of my higher self I call as star I like to think of my third eye is like my crown I should say as connection to like a platform this is just the way I perceive it you don't have to take this on and and from that platform all of my guides or angels or which is what I call as star they sit on that platform and then I through my crown I can connect to that platform as well and we can have a bit of a party or a chat we can meet and because you also want to make this work fun it's you can't because you can't get it wrong universal energies your guides your light beings loved ones God whatever you want to perceive energy to be loves you for just being you there is no judgment they because everything is just as it is it's what we call love and when I talk about love I don't talk about gooey love or emotional love I talk about love unconditional love which is unconditional energy which really means that anything is possible in that moment so whatever it is that you do in your life you're never being judged the only people that judges of us are humans our own minds because you can't get it wrong you know and sometimes doing something difficult might actually be the path of least resistance for us to get what it is that we want it might be a way to clear things away and that's that opens a whole other whole other discussion but again as I said I'm we're looking at this from a higher perspective not the ground perspective so that's so our chakras are there and they are working in every moment of every day and we are interpreting energy through our chakras so anything to do with survival money moving house or jobs will all come in and out of our base chakra and and anything to do with relationships moves in and out of our sacral anything to do with us knowing ourselves moves through our solar plexus so the energy moves in and out and this is how you feel it this is where you interpret it when we have gut feelings that tends to be all about our sacral I mean our solar plexus I'm sorry I've solar plexus issues because it's that self-esteem and self-awareness so that's the years I have had that self self-aware not self-awareness but not feeling self-empowered I suppose it's the right way to put that and for years when I did a chakra meditation sometimes I would even forget leave out solar plexus people would say to me what happened to the solar plexus oh it's not there but that's okay we all have our things to deal with as well there's no right and there's no wrong but yeah anyway sorry so energy flows in and out and that's how we interpret it so you can imagine that if you have if you have a lot of issues around relationships so if you've been hurt a lot or if you have had difficult relationships with parents or with with anyone really and we can't let go of anything it's stored in that space so let's say you've got you might have someone from your past may have upset you and an old boyfriend girlfriend and we're still hanging on to that energy so that is stored in our sacral and imagine this every day you have a hundred percent of energy flowing to you and in your sacral because of that not being able to let go of things that might be three or four percent of energy that is going out to that person that is going out to that thing and so you may have a hundred percent of energy flowing to you on a daily basis but now you've got three or four percent just leaking from your sacral and so now you're only working on about 97 98 percent of energy and what that really equates to is that if you want to create something in your life and you get this really great idea and you know but I don't know how I'm gonna do it and I don't think I've got the energy to do it well of course you don't because we've got this energy that's going out to things that no longer serve us but we haven't done anything about bringing back that energy to us and the only reason that we don't ever want to let go of something is because we think we've invested a lot of energy into it and that it needs to come back into balance but you can do that yourself but again that's a talk for another time and and just know that we do things whenever we're ready to do them there's no right or wrong time so don't ever beat yourself up but this is just a way to explain why sometimes we have great ideas but we don't have the energy to move forward and we don't have the energy to do anything in our life because if you're thinking about lots of things and you've got lots of you know energy flowing out from all of your energy centers it's like you wake up in the morning and we're thinking about work or we're thinking about you know whatever it is that you're thinking about all of that is energy flowing from you and that's why we meditate that's why we do whatever we can to come back to our center to bring all of our energy back to us and be present in the moment because your empowerment your dreams your desires all live right here in this moment if we cannot be in this moment when the things arrive that you do truly want you won't recognize them because you'll always be looking for the next thing you'll always be looking into the future so today we're going to do a little meditation that connects us just to our chakras and to each color so that you can feel each color and feel if anything is a little bit off or feels a bit strange I mean for me yellow I don't like yellow because it's that solar plexus thing again so sometimes the things that we have an aversion to are telling us they're the things that we need to embrace about ourselves as well because we don't ever want to push anything away we want to allow everything to come into our life and what I mean by that is we just allow everything to just be and you'll decide whether you give your attention to it or not but trying to push something away is using your precious energy to control something and we can't really control anything we can control the way we feel about it and what it is that we do and the focus that we give to something the more focus you give to something the more it will be in your life so if you have something that you don't want in your life don't focus on it and I know that that goes against our mind because the mind will say yeah but I need to find an answer I need to find an answer to to fix it so the thing to do is find something that makes you feel the best that you can at that moment anything might even be you know patting your animal or reading a book or just looking out the window whatever it doesn't matter anything that takes you from that space of feeling like I can't control this and I want to change it and as you do that you actually let go of the pain of it you start focusing on where you can go and then you'll get an answer to what it is that you need for that thing because when you're looking at something and it's making you feel uncomfortable all you can see is the uncomfortable side of it you can't see the other side of it and so what we want to do is be able to just pull away so that you can see everything because every problem has its solution they all travel together as well but if we're only looking at the problem we can't see the solution so that's why we meditate that's why we do anything to come back to the present moment to come back into a balanced harmonious space so that you can then see everything I know it sounds simple doesn't mean that it's going to be easy at times because we have practiced ways of doing doing things in life and those practiced ways become familiar and then we start doing them without even thinking about it they become body memory as well.
