Welcome,
Tonight there is nothing to fix,
Nothing to solve,
Nothing to improve.
This is simply a space to rest.
If you're here because sleep feels difficult,
Because your mind won't quiet,
Because you wake in the night,
Or because your heart feels heavy or distant,
You are not failing.
Your body has been trying to protect you,
And tonight we let it soften.
Find a comfortable position,
Let the bed or sofa or chair support you fully.
If it feels natural,
Place one hand on your heart,
And one hand on your belly.
Take a slow breath in through your nose,
And a long,
Unhurried exhale through your mouth.
And again,
Slow inhale,
And longer exhale.
We are signaling safety to the nervous system.
You do not need to earn rest,
You do not need to finish everything.
Nothing is required of you tonight.
Feel the weight of your body.
Notice where you touch the surface below you.
Let your shoulders drop,
Let your jaws soften,
Let your tongue rest gently in your mouth.
You are here,
And right now,
You are safe.
Imagine the day gathering in front of you.
All the conversations,
All the unfinished tasks.
All the moments your mind keeps replaying.
See them forming a soft bundle of light.
Now imagine placing that bundle into a container,
A box,
A basket,
A small chest with a lid.
You are not denying the day,
You are setting it down.
The day is complete,
Even if it felt unfinished.
Even if you wish you had done more,
The day is complete.
Silently say to yourself,
I release what is not mine,
And I welcome my energy home.
Let your shoulders grow heavier,
There is nothing to solve at 2am.
Nothing that cannot wait for morning light.
If your mind tends to wake you,
If your chest tightens in the dark,
Imagine a soft cocoon of warm golden light surrounding you.
Gentle,
Protective,
Calm.
This light filters everything.
Only what supports you,
Supports your healing,
May enter.
Everything else dissolves.
Feel your body growing heavier,
Your hips sinking,
Your legs relaxing,
Your arms softening.
Take another slow inhale,
And a long exhale.
And again,
Inhale,
And exhale.
If thoughts arise,
Gently whisper inside,
Not now,
Morning will come.
Your nervous system is remembering that night is safe.
Now bring your attention to the center of your chest.
If you've been feeling low,
Unmotivated,
Or emotionally numb,
Just notice,
No judgment.
Imagine a soft golden warmth at your heart.
Not bright,
Not dramatic,
Just warm.
Like the faintest candle flame.
We're not forcing happiness.
We're not demanding energy.
We are simply warming the space.
If numbness has been protecting you,
Thank it.
And gently allow warmth to return.
That light has never left you.
It has only been resting.
