Healing the Inner Child is a reflective poem that explores the process of reconnecting with one’s inner self through compassion, awareness, and play. It acknowledges that identity is shaped by both childhood and adult experiences, carrying memories that influence how we move through the world. The poem highlights how seriousness, responsibility, and the pressures of adulthood can distance us from joy, curiosity, and self-kindness.

Hello,

I'm Deb from Wisdom Arts and I wanted to share with you a poem called Healing the Inner Child.

I hope you enjoy it.

I am the child,

I am the soul,

I carry memories of young and old.

I journey inward only to see that I had forgotten to love me.

Little Miss Serious,

Forgotten to laugh,

Not wanting to adult,

It's bloody hard.

Show me carefree,

Show me nature,

Show me wisdom,

Gently held,

Feeling secure.

Live a life of liberty,

Act with kindness and frivolity.

Breathe deeper into the heart,

Let go of worries,

All anxiety.

Be kind to yourself,

It's a start,

Learning to listen to the heart.

Here is a reminder to bring more joy to all you do,

All parts of you.

Reconnect with the sense of play,

Getting lost in a good way.

Release old habits,

Release old ways,

Be a child and learn to play.

That's the end of the poem.

I hope you enjoyed it and feel free to come back to it any time you feel a bit disconnected from your inner child.

Thanks for listening and bye for now.
