Welcome.
This is Sarah and I'm really happy that you're here.
I wanted to continue in this series of diving a little deeper into the practices behind the sessions I record.
In this one we will look at using the energy of the full moon to release.
Full moons are the energetic peak of the lunar cycle.
They are a time of manifestation when we may see the results of the intentions and the action steps that we took at the new moon.
And they are also a huge energetic release.
And if we can tap into that powerful energy of releasing we're able to let go of what is holding us back,
What is no longer serving us,
What is stopping us from moving along the path towards our highest self.
Just as there are cycles of nature we too as humans are cyclical beings.
We are surrounded by cycles,
Day and night,
Summer and winter,
The breath in and out.
And if we can align with the higher and lower energy phases in the cycles.
We can understand which phases guide us to be more and more focused and reflective and spend time in contemplation.
And which phases are high energy.
And that's what we experience with the full moon.
As the energy begins to heighten in the phases following the new moon,
That's when we start to feel it.
The new moon is a deeply,
Deeply inward focused phase.
And as it moves to the first quarter we are called to take action.
And take action on the intentions or guiding principles to live our lives by that we set at the new moon.
And taking action usually looks like little goals.
Goals that will help us to fully embody the intention that we set with the new moon.
And as the energy continues to rise as the moon moves towards full,
We begin to see the manifestation of those intentions.
We begin to step further into fully embodying the I am statements that we set with the new moon.
And we start to see the things show up in our life that we have consciously co-created.
As we approach the release point,
We may also just begin to understand the ways in which we are holding ourselves back.
We may see the limiting beliefs,
The limiting situations that we put ourselves in and we may begin to understand what it is that holds us back from fully embodying the intentions and really seeing them show up and manifest in our lives.
And this is the energy that we want to harness with the full moon.
And we can do that by simply observing what has come up in our own lives.
And we can also look to the astrology of the full moon.
And we can take the themes and we can relate those to our lives.
When the moon is full,
It is directly opposite the sun and the sky.
So it can also be helpful to consider the themes around the astrology of the moon versus the sun,
Which is opposite and relate those to our lives.
If you want to create your own full moon release practice,
Then start by observing.
Observe the two weeks running up to the full moon and see what comes up.
Observe the ways you are holding yourself back.
Observe the limiting beliefs,
The negative self-talk,
The situations,
The people that don't serve on your journey towards your highest good.
Tap into the energy of the full moon by finding a comfortable space where you won't be disturbed.
You might want to cleanse the energy in whichever way is appropriate in your culture.
You might want to light some incense.
You might want to burn sustainable herbs.
You might just want to open the windows and just let the fresh air clear the room.
And then we want to sit in contemplation.
We want to notice everything that's come up.
We want to make a list of everything that we wish to release,
Let go of or be free from.
You can journal those,
You can write them down or you can meditate on them,
Whatever feels right to you,
But let them come up and then write them down as statements.
I am free from.
I no longer engage in.
I release.
I let go of.
And as you write those down,
Have the intention that they will release.
If you wish,
You can speak them aloud,
You can ask the moon,
The universe or whichever deity you're working with to take them.
If making practice into a ritual is helpful,
It's very symbolic.
Then you can take the piece of paper that you've written things down on and you can rip it up.
Or you can very safely burn it.
You could let the wind take it.
You could let water take it.
However,
You want to symbolically release everything which no longer serves you.
You can finish with it is done.
And you can let the full moon energy release you from all that shackles you to your former self,
To your former beliefs.
And to the old version of yourself that you are not anymore.
Always end with thank you.
And then you can celebrate.
You can feel the high energy,
You can celebrate how far you have come.
You can feel gratitude for everything that has shown up.
You can give yourself a pat on the back for the work that you have done.
For the self awareness for the self development,
For the personal growth.
For the commitment towards that new and highest version of yourself.
You can say well done.
I am proud of you.
I love you.
You are doing so well.
And as you give thanks at the end of your practice,
You can give thanks for everything that has manifested for your highest good and the highest good for all involved.
As the energy begins to wane following the full moon,
We slowly begin to turn inward again.
And as we reach the last quarter,
We really begin to see the manifestation of that release.
We see everything letting go.
And we surrender into the dark moon before it is new.
Happy full moon.
