Asking for help in trying times isn’t a sign of weakness. It’s a sign of growth and strength. In today’s meditation, we learn from Mahatma Gandhi to practise balance. Balance in who we are, in our lives, and in our faith.

Namaste everybody.

Welcome to the Flower Flowering Albert.

So you know it's funny.

I have been loving reading prayers and poems lately and it's really interesting where that takes you in your mind and in your being.

Whenever you start to really think about different aspects to your life,

Whether it's if you're feeling happy,

If you're feeling joyful,

If you're feeling accomplished,

If you're feeling sad or just not in a great place.

There's always a poem or a prayer that can help you figure out where you want to go or who you want to be,

Where you want to be and that sort of thing.

And it's so fascinating to me that,

And of course I really in my world,

This is Spirit does this.

Spirit draws me to poems and such that I know are just for me or for us.

So I was looking this weekend,

Just I was looking at different prayers and poems and I came upon one prayer from Gandhi and I'm not 100%,

Obviously I know that he was about kind of civil rights and all of that kind of stuff and it's just he was so fascinating.

And this prayer that we're going to meditate and I'm going to read the prayer today,

It's so uplifting.

I guess I'll put it that way.

I'll put it,

Yeah,

It's uplifting.

It makes me feel like,

And it was exactly how I was feeling over the weekend,

You know?

And again,

Spirit directs us.

I really truly believe that Spirit directs us where we're supposed to go and what we're supposed to read.

I really,

Really believe that.

And this particular prayer is,

Gosh,

It's everything that I was feeling,

Right?

So we're just going to get right into it and get into the meditation,

Okay?

And what we're going to do is I'm going to read the prayer,

We're going to get ourselves comfortable and stuff and then we're going to read the prayer and then we're just going to sit in the stillness and meditate for a bit.

I hope you guys enjoy this as much as I did because it felt,

It feels like we could all use a little bit of this today.

So okay,

Let's get ourselves comfortable.

Can have your blankie with you.

You can get a pillow.

You can hug your pillow.

Whatever makes you feel comfortable.

If you want to sit cross-legged or feet on the floor,

Whatever it is for you.

We're all different,

Right?

So okay,

So now let's take a nice deep breath in.

You can still keep your eyes open or closed,

Whatever feels comfortable right now.

So let's take a nice deep breath in and release it.

Gorgeous.

Beautiful energy,

Isn't it?

Beautiful energy.

Let's relax our bodies.

Let's start at our heads and work our way down.

Start with our head and our neck.

Shoulders.

So much tension.

We hold in our shoulders and our neck,

So let's place a little bit of attention on there and just relax us.

Down to our chest,

Our arms.

And our abdomen,

Another place we hold so much stress.

And our pelvis area,

Going down our legs,

Let's relax our bodies.

We deserve this.

This short period of time,

Every morning or whenever it is,

We deserve to relax and sit in the stillness just for even just a little while.

Relax our legs,

Thighs,

Calves and feet.

A prayer by Mahatma Gandhi.

My Lord,

Help me to tell the truth in front of strong people and not to lie,

To obtain the applause of the weak ones.

If you give me a fortune,

Do not take away my reasoning.

If you give success,

Do not take away my humbleness.

If you give me humbleness,

Do not take away my dignity.

Always help me see the other face of the coin.

Do not let me think I betray others who do not think as I do.

Teach me to love people as myself.

Do not let me fall in pride if I succeed,

Nor in desperation if I fail.

Together remind me that failure is the experience that supersedes the triumph.

Teach me that forgiveness is a greatness sign and revenge is a vile signal.

If you take success from me,

Give me encouragement to learn from failure.

If I would offend people,

Give me encouragement to apologize to them.

If people offend me,

Give me encouragement to forgive them.

Lord,

If I ever forget you,

Please never forget me.

If I ever forget you,

Please never forget me.

If I ever forget you,

Please never forget me.

If I ever forget you,

Please never forget me.

If I ever forget you,

Please never forget me.

If I ever forget you,

Please never forget me.

If I ever forget you,

Please never forget me.

If I ever forget you,

Please never forget me.

Let's start bringing our awareness back to our bodies.

Let's take a nice deep breath in and release very gently.

Whenever you feel comfortable,

You can open your eyes.

What a beautiful,

Beautiful prayer.

It actually brings me to tears when I first read it.

It's everything that I feel sometimes.

It's a very famous prayer by Gandhi if you want to look it up.

I actually may post it later just because it's so real.

It's like real.

It's asking for forgiveness.

It basically says,

I would love success,

But give me humbleness at the same time.

It's that balance that we strive so hard for in our lives.

It was just really beautiful.

I hope you guys enjoyed that as much as I did.

Thank you so much for joining.

As usual,

I appreciate you all so,

So much.

From my heart to yours,

Namaste.

Have a beautiful day.
