Before we begin,
Please understand that sitting in the power is not about forcing a message or trying to make spirit do anything.
This is simply a practice of becoming aware of your own energy.
Expanding on that awareness.
And blending with the larger life and spirit that's all around you.
Just allow the experience.
And when you're ready,
Go ahead and close your eyes.
I'll take a slow,
Deep breath in.
And then slowly let that breath out.
Once again,
Slow breath in.
And then slowly let it out.
Just let your breath return to normal.
Now we're going to relax our forehead.
Feel that relaxation go down around your eyes.
Let it flow into your jaw.
And let your neck relax.
And your shoulders drop.
Feel that relaxation go into your arms,
Down through your fingers.
And bring it to your chest.
And all through your stomach and into your hips.
Let it run through their legs and your calves all the way down to your feet.
Let your whole body just settle in.
Take another slow,
Deep breath.
And then as you let it out,
Become aware of the life that's within you.
The energy that animates your body.
The awareness that exists behind every thought.
Just simply notice it.
Now,
Let's allow that awareness to expand.
Let it expand outside your body,
Beyond your body.
Let it expand into your immediate surroundings.
And then outwards.
Into the earth beneath you.
Into the trees,
To the rivers and the streams.
Let the energy connect and flow in through the animals,
Into all living things.
Allow that awareness to continue expanding.
And then expand into the sky above you.
Beyond the clouds.
Beyond the stars.
Into the vastness of the universe itself.
Feel yourself as part of all of it,
As part as everything,
Connected to all,
No separation,
No efforts,
No expectations,
Simply blending with all that is,
With the spirit world,
With life,
With the divine presence that flows through everything.
Just take the next few moments to simply enjoy sitting in that awareness,
And I'll be back.
Now it's time to gently begin bringing your awareness back.
Back into the world around you.
Back to where you are sitting.
Back into your body.
Feel your feet again and wiggle your toes and your hands and your fingers.
Feel your breath again.
As you take another slow breath in.
And then let it go.
