As you settle your body,

Take a deep breath in.

Allow yourself to release the tension you have been carrying in your day.

This guided meditation is to be used as a place of reflection on your needs in the face of trauma.

An opening to create gentleness and empathy for your process.

A moment in time to breathe around the array of experiences that you have faced.

You are a survivor,

One full of bravery,

Courage,

And strength.

You are here today and that is an accomplishment.

As you breathe,

Affirm your presence and reflect on this courage.

Remind yourself,

I am a survivor.

I am here.

And I am worthy of taking up space in my own life and in this world.

The experiences of trauma is one that encounters all the pieces of ourself,

The body,

The mind,

And the spirit.

Our responses stem from a place of making sense of the often nonsensical.

As you wade through the muddy waters of this trauma,

The disempowerment can be palpable and the confusion can feel overwhelming.

As you breathe,

Remind yourself,

I make sense.

Sometimes there can be an overwhelming sense of shame around trauma.

This shame can have us turn on ourselves.

Sometimes what has been done in the name of survival does not feel constructive or aligned with our most empowered self.

Sometimes it can feel as though you are unsure of the next steps,

But centering yourself in a place of blame feels like the only feeling you can access.

As you breathe,

Create space for the release of this shame or guilt.

Acknowledge that your survival skills presented themselves from your wounds.

You are not responsible for the trauma that occurred to you.

It is not your fault.

When we experience unresolved trauma,

It cycles through our body,

Mind,

And spirit.

It can feel impossible to disconnect.

When we move through our healing,

We arrive at a place where our trauma is integrated into our lives,

No longer feeling as though it defines us.

We embrace our empowerment and search for the tools to support the disempowerment that has been thrust in our face.

As you breathe,

Express to yourself,

I am worthy of healing.

I am worthy of working at my own pace,

Identifying my needs,

And providing myself with validation,

Empathy,

And love.

The work of integration is a process,

One that requires consistent showing up for self,

One that requires resets,

One that requires understanding that some days,

Weeks,

Or even months it may be difficult to access hope or see the other side.

So as you breathe,

Remind yourself again,

I make sense,

And my trauma does not define me.

Allow yourself to sit in this space of empathy and understanding,

Breathing in love for your process and yourself.

Continue to occupy this space as you breathe in and out,

Showering yourself with support for the process of healing.

And I remind you,

You make sense.

You are worthy of empowerment.

You are worthy of the integration of all your experiences so you feel empowered to define yourself.
