Our Sister Moon is a constant grounding force available to us when needed. In this brief meditation, we consider her changing phases as an example of how we can also adjust what energy we offer to others and keep to ourselves. The light projected from the moon is a reflection of what is given to her just as our heart light projects the love we feel and keep within our heart space when needed. I hope this serves you. This meditation can be completed using the night sky or through imagery.

Transcript

This is Dr.

Holly offering a meditation for our sister moon.

I invite you to sit with an awake spine.

We're laying down if that's more comfortable.

You can close your eyes or if it's available to you,

Look up at the night sky.

Notice the darkness.

Notice what you see and what you can't see.

The shadows,

The light.

And find in that sky the light of the moon.

I invite you to take a breath in through your nose and out through your mouth.

Let's do that two more times.

In through your nose,

Out through your mouth.

And once again,

Inhale and exhale.

Take notice of the darkness,

The shadows.

And as your eyes adjust,

Notice the light,

Whether it be from the stars,

The areas around you,

And what will eventually notice the sister moon.

When you see the moon,

Notice what phase she's in.

Is it completely dark?

Has she been hidden by her own shadows,

Embracing her darkness,

Engaging in her shadow work as she considers what she needs to release?

Or perhaps there's a crescent showing as she allows herself to project the light while still keeping most of her inner work to herself.

Perhaps she's at a point where she's allowing half of her shine to come forth to those around her with still some shadows being seen in the darkness,

Allowing that time for self-care while still projecting the light to those admiring her from a distance.

Perhaps she's gotten to a point where she's full in the night sky,

Allowing her light to be seen by all those who wait to see it,

Who worship it,

Who feel a pull from its energy.

Our sister moon is a reminder of that feminine energy within all of us,

How it is there to receive the light from those offering it,

Offering love to be absorbed into the heart space.

And then once we've engaged in that self-care,

That shadow work,

That needed time alone,

Giving us a way to shine it out to those who wait to receive,

Who are willing to look up into the sky and notice our essence.

The moon is a constant.

She's always present there in the night sky,

Even in the day.

Even if you can't see her,

Someone can.

And just as she is always there,

So are we.

So is our essence.

So is our feminine energy,

Our light,

Our heart chakra,

The love that we engage in,

The love we give to ourselves,

The love we offer to those around us.

And for that reminder,

We offer gratitude to our sister moon.

Taking a deep breath,

Absorbing her light,

Absorbing the love that's shown onto you from all those who love you near and far,

Letting that fill your heart space,

Letting that reminder of constant love and self-care be available to you throughout your evening and days to come and exhaling and feeling the peace.

I hope that serves you.
