
Winter Solstice 2024 Meditation
Take part in this ceremonial meditation aimed at connecting us with the changing themes of our lives and its connection to the seasons. Honoring our place in the cycle now, as we enter the Winter. Prepare for rest, reflection, and restoration by releasing all that no longer serves you from the past year and finding peace in our connections to each other which reside within.

Thank you so much for joining this guided meditation.
Today we are going to be meditating in conjunction with the 2024 winter solstice.
If you happen to be doing this in future years,
Please know that that is perfectly acceptable and that the intention here is going to be to create a large group container,
Knowing that a lot of us will be doing this meditation by ourselves,
That I am recording this by myself,
But that we are all connected through the heart.
We are all connected to this living universe.
And through our innate connections to it and each other,
Through our hearts,
We can hold a container that connects every person who does this meditation throughout time and space.
A huge community of people who are sitting together,
Not only this winter,
But winters in the future,
To meditate on what matters most in this time.
A time where we reflect on the seasons past,
Looking back to the spring and the seeds we planted then,
Looking to the summer where we saw those seeds grow and we lived our life to the fullest of our abilities,
And the fall where we received the harvest of our year,
For better and worse.
Now,
Heading into the winter,
Is our time to take stock of all that has passed for us in this time,
In this astrological year.
A time for us to go within,
A time for us to go to our cave,
A time for us to go to our cozy little hobbit hole,
And to figure out what these lessons of this year really mean to us,
What's really important to us,
What can we release right now,
What can we extract from the year past so that when spring comes this year,
We can plant our seeds all the deeper,
And with better seeds too.
And so please come to find a comfortable position,
If you haven't already,
And allow yourself to sit or lie down,
Place your palms face up on the floor or your lap,
And straighten your spine,
And keeping your chin lightly tucked,
Roll your shoulders back and lift,
And if you haven't already,
Please close your eyes.
Let us breathe into our hearts,
Deep,
Whole breaths in,
And long exhalations.
Allow yourself to sit without any breath for a moment before you inhale again,
All the way up,
And out slow,
And just breathe like this for a moment,
Into your heart,
Big and deep,
Exhalations long and slow,
And focus here on the energy of your heart.
What's here for you today?
Continuing this breathing,
And continuing holding your focus on the energy of your heart,
I want you to also reach out and touch something that you are truly grateful for.
Let your heart,
Mind,
And soul reach out to a memory,
Or a loved one,
Or a place,
Or a time,
Or this moment right here,
Whatever you feel grateful for,
And bring it in to your heart as you keep breathing like this.
Now on your next inhalation,
Take a very deep breath in,
All the way up,
And hold,
Relax your whole body,
And release.
So just rest here,
And allow your breath to return to an uncontrolled rhythm.
Simply witness its natural flow,
And just see how your breath moves without your manipulation.
And now,
Bring your attention to the energies that exist within your body,
And allow them to flow and move as they do,
But witness what's there for you.
Feel the energy in your palms,
Feel the energy in your arms,
Feel it in your chest,
In your abdomen,
In your back,
And if you feel any physical tightness,
You may need to readjust slightly,
But keep your posture steady,
Breathing in flow.
Just gently relaxing any muscles that need to be relaxed,
And feeling that energy within,
Keeping your attention right there.
And so witnessing this flowing energy,
Allow yourself to move it consciously.
Move the energy to your right shoulder.
Move it down to your right hand.
Shoot it back up your arm and over to your left shoulder,
And down to your left hand.
And then let it shoot back to your heart,
And stay there,
Growing brighter.
And shoot it up into your mind,
Feeling the energy clearing any anxiety.
Feel this beautiful energy we've cultivated clearing all of your worries,
And shoot it down into your lower body,
Into your abdomen,
Into your belly,
Down your legs,
To your feet.
Take control of the energy yourself now,
And just have fun,
Keeping your focus right here as you move this energy about.
And so bring that light,
That energy that you're moving around,
Back into your heart.
And I want you to see yourself now,
Walking down a path in the woods.
Feel the crunch of leaves beneath your feet,
And see the sun high above.
Hear the birds in the trees,
The rustling leaves,
And feel the wind blowing through your hair,
And hear out ahead of you the sound of running water,
And know that you are coming upon a gentle stream.
And so moving over a small rise in the forest floor,
Come to see this stream before you,
And come to rest beside it.
And here beside this stream,
Pick a leaf off the ground,
And hold this leaf in front of you,
Seeing what color it is,
What shape it is for you.
And right here,
Right now,
Hold the intention of releasing everything that no longer serves you.
Say it out loud,
I release all that no longer serves me.
I release all that no longer serves me.
And feel yourself sending a beam of energy from your heart into this leaf,
And see the leaf taking that energy,
Feel it leaving you,
Whatever it is for you,
And let it go.
Know that it is for your greatest good,
And let it go.
And once it's gone,
And once it's gone,
Take that leaf,
And with gratitude,
Set that leaf on the stream,
And let it float away,
Gently away from you,
Until it takes a corner,
And disappears from your view.
And so take another leaf off the forest floor,
And let's do this one more time,
All on your own.
Maybe there's something you know from this last year that you're ready to release,
Or maybe you just want to leave it in the greatest and highest good.
Whatever it is for you,
Please pick up your leaf now,
And send that energy into it.
And when you're ready,
Set your leaf on the stream.
And watching this leaf leave your view,
Feeling lighter,
See yourself standing from your seat beside the stream,
And moving back over the little rise in the forest floor.
Back onto the path,
And continue walking along this path.
And feel yourself now growing stronger as you enter this forest,
As you enter the unknown,
As you enter the future.
And perhaps here as we walk,
You may have ideas or thoughts or reminiscence,
Remembrances of what your life was this last year,
Of what these last three seasons have brought you.
And perhaps allow you and allow yourself to hold space in your mind as you walk this path,
To receive insights or knowings or visions of what your next year has in store for you,
Of what wisdom your body and mind has inside of it to guide you on a better path.
And now,
See out ahead of you a beautiful sunrise.
See that the forest comes to an end.
See that the path that you walk comes to an end,
It leading directly to a beach,
Your beach.
And so see yourself here walking out onto your beach,
Inviting with you anyone that you want to join you.
Feeling yourself connected with everyone here throughout time and space.
And make a bonfire on this beach.
See the sun coming down.
See the moon coming up over the ocean.
The stars coming out.
And feel us all surrounding this campfire.
All of us here meditating.
All the people you invited.
Your friends,
Your family,
Their higher selves.
And here is this great community,
Knowing with our golden hearts and our beautiful intentions,
That we have the power to change the world.
Let us call in together.
Spiritual support from on high.
To allow this time to serve us and our greatest good,
So that we may change the world for the better.
Creating an Eden here on earth for us all,
In time.
Feeling yourself surrounded by this support.
An enormous community of people surrounding this great bonfire on the beach.
And feeling your feet in the sand,
Look up to the stars above.
And see yourself now in space,
Looking down upon the earth.
And seeing this great circle,
Surrounding our entire planet.
Beautiful souls throughout time and space.
And all of our spiritual support.
And feel us sharing the love from our hearts,
With Mother Earth and all of her inhabitants.
Every living conscious being,
Every living soul.
And just let that pour down,
Out of your heart.
And back on this beach,
Feeling this shower of our own energy.
The beautiful feedback loop we are creating with our hearts and our intentions.
Bring it all back.
Bring it all back home.
To the present moment.
To your body.
Feel into the space around you.
Allow your body to gently move and stretch.
Take a deep breath in.
And let it go.
And whenever you're ready.
