As you take three slow breaths,
In through your nose and out through your belly,
As you're leaving this time and this place,
You find yourself at the edge of a forest,
Somewhere familiar,
Somewhere you've been before.
And ahead of you,
You see two beech trees,
Either side of a path,
Guardians,
Sentinels.
You ask for permission to enter,
And receiving a yes with gratitude,
You step onto the path that leads deep into the forest.
Following the path ever deeper into the wood,
The trees all around,
The sounds of the birds and the animals,
A moonlit sky above,
The silvery light of a full moon shining down.
As you follow the path,
It begins to dip down into the earth,
Forming a tunnel,
A tunnel that leads down,
Down,
Down.
Feeling no fear,
Your heart strings they tug and they draw you deeper into the earth.
Surrounded by darkness,
You feel no fear,
Guided by your senses.
You see a point of light ahead,
A point of light that begins to become larger,
As you realize the end of the tunnel is ahead.
You reach the end of the tunnel and there's a shimmering force field of light across the end.
And you pause,
Take a breath.
You step through and find yourself in a glade,
A glade in a tropical forest,
Feeling the warmth all around,
The silvery moonlight bathing your skin.
And in the middle of the glade,
There's an ancient cacao tree waiting for you.
As you step closer,
You're greeted by the spirit of cacao.
You share with Mama Cacao your reason for being here,
Your intention,
Your desire to let go of those things which are holding you back,
To let go of those blockages stopping you being the greatest version of you.
Share those with Mama Cacao,
The old ways of being,
The old patterns,
The old beliefs.
And be open to any wisdom or guidance that Mama Cacao has for you,
Words of insight or healing she may offer.
Allow yourself to receive.
And with the awareness of what you wish to let go of,
Mama Cacao encourages you,
Invites you to venture deeper into the forest.
Bidding her farewell for now,
You leave by the path on the opposite side of the glade.
As you follow the path ever deeper into this tropical forest,
You see sticks and branches laying on the ground.
And as you walk,
You feel drawn to choose sticks to pick up.
With conscious intent,
Each stick that you pick up represents something you wish to let go of,
Something you wish to release,
Something which has had its time.
As you walk further into the forest with your bundle of sticks cradled in your arms,
You come to another glade,
A glade with a fire burning brightly in the center.
And all around the fire you see the silhouettes of beings and spirits.
You feel comfortable,
You feel supported.
Knowing that these spirits are here to give you the encouragement,
The strength to let go of what no longer serves.
Stepping up to the fire,
One stick at a time,
You place what it is you wish to release into the burning fire,
Into the flames.
As you replace each stick,
You name what it is you're letting go of,
What you're releasing.
Allowing the flames to take each stick and transform them into heat,
Into light,
Into smoke,
Into ash.
One stick followed by the next,
Followed by the next.
And as each stick is taken by the fire,
You feel lighter,
Taller.
Until you have one stick remaining.
Perhaps you feel an urge to keep hold of this one.
The thing that is most challenging to let go of.
But the thing that offers you the most healing and transformation.
Summoning up your strength and your courage and the words of wisdom from Mama Kakao.
You place that final stick into the fire.
As it's taken by the flames,
Transformed into pure energy.
You feel the tallest you've felt,
The lightest,
The strongest.
Your spine straighter and stronger.
As if a weight has been lifted off your shoulders.
You see another path that leads from this glade again,
Deeper into the forest.
With the strength in your body,
The support of these spirits all around,
You venture further into this forest.
And after a short while,
This path comes to another glade.
A glade with a pool of water.
The moonlight shining and shimmering on its surface.
And as you stand by the edge of the pool,
You summon up the strength.
Prepare yourself.
Feeling the call.
You dive into the pool.
Swirling around in the water.
Sucked down into its depths.
Feeling no fear.
Carried down in the depths of the water.
You feel the strength within your body.
Carried by an underwater current through a tunnel.
Carried along,
You feel as if you're about to emerge into a new you.
As you pop out to the water,
Emerging into a pool lit by bright sunlight.
As you climb out of the pool,
Laying on the grass.
Your skin being warmed by the warmth of the sun.
You feel reborn.
With a lightness in your body.
Strength in your spine and your bones.
A fire in your belly.
You follow the path from this pool.
It winds through the forest.
This path emerges back at the glade.
With Mama Cacao waiting for you.
And as you step up to Mama Cacao,
She says,
There you are.
There you are.
There you are.
You share with Mama Cacao what's true for you now.
At this time in this place.
With this new awareness in your body.
What's true for you now?
And Mama Cacao asks you to hold out your hands.
Places a gift to remind you of this transformation.
To remind you of what you've let go of.
And to remind you of the you that you're stepping into.
As you bid farewell to Mama Cacao.
You step through the shimmering force field.
Following the path through the tunnel.
Upwards,
Upwards,
Upwards.
Emerging into the trees of the original forest.
You come to the beech trees.
You thank them for their service.
For their care over this special,
Magical forest.
And as you thank them,
You step between them.
Back onto the grass.
As the sun is rising into a new day.
A day that is full of possibilities.
A day that you can seize as a new you.
As you take three slow breaths.
All the way down into your belly.
As you're returning to this time and this place.
