Hello everyone,
My name is Dane and welcome to this yoga nidra practice for healing and balancing the throat chakra.
The throat chakra is the fifth energy center located at the base of the throat.
It is associated with self-expression,
Communication,
Creativity and authenticity.
When the throat chakra is in balance,
We can effectively express ourselves,
Communicate our truth and harmoniously connect with others.
This practice aims to activate,
Cleanse and restore the energy flow within the throat chakra,
Promoting healing and balance.
Find a comfortable position on your mat or bed,
Allowing yourself to fully relax and surrender to this journey of self-discovery.
Begin by taking a moment to settle into your space.
Close your eyes and take a deep breath in,
And as you exhale,
Let go of any tension or distractions.
Allow yourself to be fully present in this moment.
Take a few more deep breaths,
Inhaling deeply through your nose and exhaling fully through your mouth,
Releasing any lingering stress or worries.
Now shift your awareness to the area of your throat and visualize a beautiful spinning wheel of vibrant blue light at the base of your throat.
This is the energy center of your throat chakra,
Your gateway to authentic expression and communication.
As you continue to focus on this area,
Imagine the blue light growing brighter and more vibrant with each breath,
Expanding and enveloping your entire throat.
Feel a sense of warmth and openness in your throat,
As if a gentle breeze is flowing through,
Soothing and healing any tension or blockages.
As we move through the practice,
Remember that you have the power to heal and balance your throat chakra.
Now bring your attention back to your breath,
Take a deep breath in,
Allowing your stomach to rise and exhale slowly,
Feeling your stomach fall as you exhale.
Continue to breathe deeply and rhythmically throughout the practice,
Allowing each breath to nourish and cleanse your throat chakra.
Now let us begin our journey of healing and balancing the throat chakra through the stages of yoga nidra.
We will first set our intention for healing and balancing the throat chakra.
Repeat the following affirmation silently or aloud,
Allowing its meaning to sink deeply into your consciousness.
I am open,
Authentic and express myself with clarity.
My throat chakra is balanced and my communication is guided by love and truth.
Bring your attention to your physical body,
We will move through a body scan to release any tension or discomfort,
Allowing your whole being to relax.
Start by bringing your awareness to your forehead,
Softening and releasing any tension.
Soften your eyebrows and let your eyes rest gently behind your closed eyelids.
Relax your jaw,
Allowing your mouth to gently part.
Continue to relax your neck and shoulders,
Letting go of any tightness or stiffness.
Feel the weight of your head and shoulders sinking into the support beneath you.
Relax your arms and hands,
Allowing them to rest in a comfortable position.
Now shift your attention to your throat,
Relax the muscles in your throat,
Allowing any tightness or constriction to melt away.
Feel a sense of spaciousness and openness in this area,
Moving down.
Relax your chest and stomach,
Allowing your breath to flow naturally and effortlessly.
Release any tension in your hips,
Your legs and your feet.
Feel your body sinking into a state of deep relaxation.
Take a moment to observe your body now,
Feeling a sense of calmness and relaxation.
Just know that you are safe and supported throughout this practice.
Shift your focus to your breath,
Take a deep inhale,
Allowing the breath to fill your abdomen and rise up to your throat.
As you exhale,
Imagine any blockages or tensions in your throat chakra being released and dissolved.
Visualize a vibrant blue light surrounding your throat,
Symbolizing clarity,
Authenticity and healing.
With each inhale,
Imagine this blue light expanding and energizing your throat chakra.
And with each exhale,
Feel any stagnant energy being released and transformed.
As you continue to breathe,
Imagine your breath as a gentle breeze,
Sweeping away any obstacles or limitations that may be inhibiting your self-expression.
With each breath,
Feel your throat chakra opening and expanding,
Creating space for your true voice to be heard and expressed.
We will now move to visualization to further activate and balance the throat chakra.
Follow my guidance as we embark on a journey of healing and expression.
Imagine yourself standing in a peaceful and serene place in nature.
Visualize a beautiful sky above you,
Filled with shades of blue.
Feel the gentle warmth of the sun on your skin,
Rejuvenating and energizing you.
As you breathe in this tranquil environment,
Become aware of a crystal clear lake nearby and walk towards it,
Feeling the softness of the earth beneath your feet.
Stand at the edge of the lake and gaze into its calm,
Reflective surface.
Now imagine that you have the power to release any stagnant energy or blockages from your throat chakra.
With each breath,
Visualize yourself gently exhaling any tension,
Fear or self-doubt into the lake.
Watch as the ripples on the surface carry away these negative energies,
Transforming them into pure,
Healing light.
Feel a sense of liberation and freedom as you release these limitations,
As the lake absorbs the negativity,
It becomes even clearer,
Mirroring the vibrant blue sky above.
Allow this reflection to remind you of the infinite potential and authenticity within you and just pause here in this tranquil moment for a few minutes before we return and finish this practice.
As you return from this tranquil,
Peaceful state,
We will now reinforce the positive energy within your throat chakra through affirmations.
Repeat the following affirmations silently or aloud,
Embracing their empowering energy.
I express myself with clarity and confidence.
My voice is valuable and deserves to be heard.
I communicate with love,
Kindness and authenticity.
I am open to receiving and expressing my creative inspirations.
I honor and respect my own truth as well as the truth of others.
Feel the resonance of these affirmations within your being,
Allowing them to dissolve any remaining blockages and restore harmony to your throat chakra.
As we come to the end of our practice,
Take a moment to express gratitude for this time dedicated to healing and balancing your throat chakra.
Know that you can revisit this practice whenever you feel the need for nurturing and self-expression and bring your awareness back to your breath,
Feeling the gentle rise and fall of your stomach and the air flowing in and out of your throat.
Now when you are ready,
Wiggle your fingers and toes,
Gradually bringing movement back into your body,
Slowly turning that into some bigger movements,
Maybe taking a big stretch.
When you are ready,
You can bring your knees up to your chest and gently roll over onto the right side of your body in fetal position and just take a moment to rest in this position.
As we conclude this practice,
Remember that your throat chakra is a powerful center of self-expression and authenticity.
Embrace the balance and healing that you have cultivated during this practice and carry it with you into your daily life and in your own time,
Whenever you are ready,
Just slowly open your eyes,
Coming back fully to the present.
This practice of Yoga Nidra is now complete.
Thank you for joining me on this journey of healing and balance.
