Hello,
My name is Dana Shammas and this is going to be a simple midline meditation.
I have used this meditation with yoga students and coaching clients for years as a way to quickly recenter,
Reconnect,
Get grounded so you can be present and clear to take the next best step forward.
Hopefully after practicing this a little bit,
You will be able to do it on your own,
Anywhere,
Anytime.
For this meditation,
I'm going to give instructions as if you are standing,
But if you are seated,
It is not a problem at all.
Just imagine your feet on the earth and your feet may even be on the earth as you are sitting.
That is perfectly fine.
So as you're ready,
Finding your comfortable place,
Whether that be seated or standing in a chair or wherever you happen to be.
Lengthening the spine here,
Letting the crown of the head float up towards the sky,
Letting the sitting bones or feet ground down,
Taking a few deep breaths here,
Letting go on each exhale as you bring all of your attention to this breath,
This moment.
And when you're ready,
Bringing your attention to the crown of the head,
Noticing how the crown of the head feels here.
And as you're ready,
Envisioning a beam of light dropping down through the head,
Through the throat,
Through the torso,
Through the pelvis,
All the way down to between your feet,
Creating a midline through your body here.
And then as you're ready,
Trace that beam of light back up through the pelvis,
Through the torso,
Through the chest,
Through the throat,
To the crown of the head.
And again,
Tracing that beam of light back down through the head,
Through the throat,
Through the torso,
Through the pelvis,
Down in between both feet,
And then back up through the pelvis,
Through the torso,
Through the chest,
To the crown of the head.
And I just want you to feel into that midline here,
Noticing how your body is organized around that midline.
Knowing if you can lengthen along that midline,
Rooting down into the earth,
Lengthening up to the sky along that midline here,
Knowing that this is your central channel for processing energy,
Processing emotions,
A central channel of circuitry in connection within your energetic body,
In your beingness,
Reconnecting to this midline here,
Reconnecting to this circuitry here,
Feeling that connection,
Breathing into it.
And as you're ready,
You are welcome to open your eyes and enjoy your day.
