When we experience difficult emotions such as fear, anger, or sadness, our instinct may be to push them away or distract ourselves from them. The idea behind this meditation is to acknowledge and accept these difficult emotions without judgment or resistance. By observing our thoughts and feelings with curiosity and compassion, can learn to sit with discomfort and gradually develop a sense of spaciousness and ease around difficult emotions.

Gently transition into the space where we can see and hold anything and everything that comes up,

Allowing this transition first to bring the sense of arrival,

Noticing the scattered mind and all those things that are happening outside,

Gathering the pieces,

The broken self and allowing all those pieces to find home within the body and just gently accepting.

Perhaps first pause or the first station could be just this acceptance of the existence of self,

The one within the body,

The one that breathes,

One that thinks,

Listens,

Smells,

One body,

Home to many parts,

Gently,

Evenly,

Kindly allowing the breath to nourish you and with each exhale giving some space for more ease to be present.

It might be that you are right now not quite capable of experiencing ease,

Perhaps mind is drifting,

Roaming,

Being active with some thoughts,

Memories,

Just let all of that be present.

Perhaps there are some emotions,

Let the emotions also be present,

Perhaps some fear,

Confusion,

Maybe anger,

Anxiety,

That too also comes into the wholeness.

Each and every part perhaps is carrying some of the emotions.

When anger arises it gives us a message that boundaries are not respected.

So go ahead and thank your anger for giving that message.

When confusion is present perhaps it just means that there is no clarity.

Go ahead and thank confusion for letting you know that you need clarity.

If anxiety is present perhaps it's because there is a need for being safe.

Could you respect that message?

Thank that part for really needing safety and anxiety belonging to the family of fear.

Each and every part carrying a message of what is important and delivering it to one and whole self.

All that all that it takes is to listen,

Really listen.

Go ahead and softly,

Kindly,

Gently let all the parts know,

Hey darling,

I'm here for you.

Parts speak one by one.

Let them tell you their sorrows and pain.

Soften your gesture,

Your gaze,

Your voice when you speak to them so they can trust you.

Once when they begin to trust you they will surrender and allow them to lead them.

They will be willing to accept your leadership.

Be gentle and kind as they indeed are trying their best.

You may also show up for them just by placing your hand over your heart or offering yourself a hug,

Deeply letting them know that you really truly care for each and every part of you.

As you understand where they come from,

What they want,

What they need,

Be kindly,

Patiently let each and every part receive the message of how much you love them.

Even that part that doesn't want to receive love,

Especially that one.

Then as you take a few deep breaths,

Just letting them know that for now you might be complete,

But you will come back.

You always come back,

Always show up for them.
