Dakota's Motivating Tips,
Where I give you advice about life and moving forward.
What's going on everybody?
I hope you're having an absolutely incredible day today and that it's going wonderfully.
In the last episode we went over things that I have done to overcome sadness or depression.
Just tips that I wanted to give you guys so you can get out of a slump or whatever you're going through.
I just wanted to help you out a little bit and I hope it does help you out.
In the episode before that we went over kind of finding your reason as to why you're going for this goal or this big dream that you're going for.
And this episode is going to tie into that a little bit.
And this episode is going to be about something that is definitely really important because if you don't have this then you're not going to really accomplish the dreams that you're going for.
And it is,
First things first,
You have to believe in yourself.
I want to say that again.
You have to believe in yourself.
If you don't believe in yourself you're not going to get anywhere.
You have to believe that you can accomplish this thing.
It's not going to just be handed to you by luck.
You have to believe that you can do this.
And you can.
It just might not seem like it sometimes.
But you definitely can.
You can do anything that you set your mind to.
Just remember that.
If you don't think you can accomplish anything then you never will.
The brain is such a powerful thing.
It is so powerful.
Everything that you do it starts from the brain.
No matter what you do it always starts there.
And if you think that you can accomplish this thing that you're going for then you've already given up before you've even started and you're not going to be able to do it.
You have to believe that you can.
And I know you can.
But sometimes it's just harder to see it for yourself.
So you just got to believe that you can accomplish this.
And sometimes you're just going to have to build up some self esteem.
And one way to do that is go into the bathroom or wherever you have a mirror and start saying positive things about yourself.
Don't say negative things.
Don't drag yourself down.
Say positive things that will bring you up.
Tell yourself you look amazing.
Tell yourself you have beautiful eyes.
Whatever it is tell yourself something positive.
Tell yourself every single day in the mirror something positive about you.
Not only will it make you happier by saying positive things about yourself,
You'll start to love yourself even more.
So start saying positive things about yourself and this will just bring more motivation into your life for you.
And secondly you got to stop making excuses.
Stop making excuses as to why you can't do this.
Don't blame the other people.
Because everything that you do,
It's on you.
It's not someone else's fault if something happened.
You got to take responsibility.
Believe believe in yourself and stop making excuses as to why you can't do this thing.
Yeah it might be hard.
It's going to be hard.
But to get where you want to be you have to step out of where you are.
You got to stop making excuses.
Stop blaming other people because you can accomplish anything you put your mind to.
And you got to put the work to do that.
Something that I've tried,
Well something that I do is when I feel like I can't do something or it's just getting hard or I'm scared to do it or whatever it may be.
I like to tell myself that I can.
I'll say out loud,
I can do this.
I can do this.
And surprisingly you might not think it but that really does help a ton.
Like a crazy amount.
Tell yourself I can.
I can do this.
Tell yourself that.
Don't let that thought of I can't do this come into your mind.
Block it out before that happens and say I can.
I can do this.
No matter how hard it gets do not say you can't.
Because the moment you say those words it's over.
It's done.
The moment you say those words you've given up.
So don't let those words come out of your mouth.
Ever.
Think of it like you're giving a plank.
You're doing a plank.
You're doing a minute plank.
That might be a lot for some people.
That might not be very much for some people.
But I feel like that's a pretty good amount,
A minute of doing a plank.
And when you're doing this plank it's going to get harder and harder the longer you're holding it.
And I know from my experiences like when it gets really hard you're like oh man I want to give up.
I don't want to do this anymore.
I just want to quit.
But the times I say that I can't do this I'll instantly drop or pretty soon after I'll drop.
But when I say I can I hold it out and I can.
I accomplished my goal.
Words are powerful and whatever your brain thinks that is what's going to happen.
So don't let those negative thoughts tear you down.
Say you can.
You can accomplish this.
The only way to be able to get where you want to be is you have to believe that you can.
Love yourself.
Say you can accomplish this thing that you're going for.
And never give up on yourself because you are far beyond important.
Don't let anyone ever let you think otherwise.
You can accomplish anything that you put your mind to.
I know you can.
I believe in you so you should start believing in yourself.
