Welcome to Spiritual Safekeeping,
A short collection of thoughts and practices to assist with keeping your energy positive and protected for each day of the week.
In this Saturday edition,
We will explore transformation.
Hecate is regarded as the goddess of the night and of witchcraft,
A guardian of the underworld and crossroads.
She is a liminal goddess who is associated with gateways and doorways and is held by many as a goddess of transformation.
Hecate is also heavily associated with the triple goddess aspect of the moon,
Which represents change while remaining changeless.
All of us are constantly changing and growing,
In both the mundane and spiritual sense.
Some transformations we undergo are effortless,
While others might present challenges.
In Wicca and Neopaganism,
We don't see things in a linear sense because we hold that the cycle of life,
The cycle of everything,
Is unending,
With no beginning and no ending.
Still,
We recognize that transformations are ongoing.
With this in mind,
Who we once were and who we are now aren't as important as what it was that made the difference.
Hecate,
Referred to by many as the goddess of the keys,
Shows us that keys are symbols of transformation.
Drawing upon this symbolism,
We are wise to always remember that portals are endless,
As is our ability to go from one to another.
With each transformation we experience,
Awareness of what made the difference is worthy of your spiritual safekeeping.
The crow flies from me to thee,
To send the message,
Blessed Be.
