Allow your shoulders to drop and your breath to come naturally.
Just allowing your belly to rise and fall as it feels,
Not trying to control anything.
Just letting your body breathe itself naturally and coming to a place of stillness.
You are a seed planted under the ground,
Safely nestled in the body of Mama Earth.
It's dark and it's damp and it's nourishing.
You can feel Mama Earth's love radiating around you as she draws down your roots,
Connecting them to her core,
Just pulling your root system gently toward her center,
Extending through the layers of soil so that you,
Little seed,
Can absorb all of the nutrients you need while you're underground.
And just feeling for a moment the collection of these nutrients,
Of inspiration,
Of being settled,
Of all the vitamins you need as a little creative seed.
And pretty soon you begin to sprout up,
Pushing up through the layers of soil and breaking through the ground,
Turning your face toward the sunlight and stretching tall,
Allowing yourself to be seen,
Stretching your petals and your leaves toward the light to absorb all of the nutrients from the sky.
Just feeling the sunlight make its way down through your stem to your roots,
Infusing every root with the energy of the sunlight.
As your roots connect with the ground,
Bringing the energy of the earth upward and forming a beautiful circulation of earth energy and sunlight,
Feeling that everything you absorb in your root system is for you to bring to light,
To bring to life.
And as you collect droplets of sunlight,
As you collect nourishment from the earth,
Just allowing your roots to extend laterally underneath the ground,
Spreading out and forming a grid,
Reaching across the earth.
And every one of your ideas,
Every piece of inspiration is another plant that will pop up in time.
And just imagining that each idea pokes itself through the ground to collect sunlight.
And one by one,
Each of these ideas pops up from your root system,
Becoming a beautiful tree or a flower or a plant with its own petals,
With its own leaves,
With its own life.
And from the one root system,
Many flowers grow.
And eventually you've populated a garden.
From your little seed,
You've become a plant.
From your little seed,
You've become a tree.
You're the parent of all these little plants.
And each one takes its own time to grow.
Know that the forest did not grow in a single second.
Know that the forest took time to become.
Allow your own garden that time.
Allow the energy of the earth and sun to circulate,
To grow your garden as you ground,
Focusing on one plant,
One flower,
One tree at a time.
You are meant to materialize this forest.
Not chaotically,
Methodically.
The same way that mother earth creates her forest.
So too,
Do you populate your garden with patience and persistence,
Focusing the energy,
Your energy and cosmic energy on one plant,
One tree,
One flower at a time.
This is how gardens grow.
This is how forests are created.
Collection of single trees.
And when put together,
Create a cohesive canopy.
These are your creations.
You nourish the entire system with your roots.
From well watered roots and well visible leaves,
You collect all of the nutrients the entire forest needs.
Take a deep breath.
Sending oxygen all the way down to your entire root system.
Take a deep breath.
Allowing the sunshine to infuse all of your foliage.
Today,
You will focus on one leaf,
One petal,
One leaf,
One branch,
One aspect of the forest.
And you will focus from well watered roots.
You have within your root system all of the nutrients you need,
All of the focus and all of the solidity.
The leaf you craft today becomes part of your eternal forest.
Breathe in.
Breathe out.
And create.
