Welcome to the Bodhi Effect.
This week,
Freeing yourself from judgment.
We're going to begin by getting in a seating position or lying down on your back.
Feel yourself ground into the earth.
Begin to find connection with your breath here.
Eyes closed.
Shoulders resting away from your ears.
Inhale deeply.
Fill your heart.
Fill your belly.
As you exhale,
Allow everything to soften.
Two more breaths just like this.
Deeply inhale.
Exhale.
Allow everything to soften.
Last time.
Big inhale.
Fill your heart.
Fill your belly.
And exhale,
Letting go of that tension,
Softening.
Continue with this breath here.
Staying in stillness.
Since you were a child,
You were told that in order to be worthy,
You must play by the rules.
Parents,
Siblings,
Peers,
Teachers,
Society itself raise us within this judgment system to constantly be asking ourselves,
Am I enough?
Am I smart enough?
Am I cool enough?
Am I brave enough?
Am I strong enough?
Am I skinny enough?
Am I rich enough?
Am I safe enough?
It is endless.
But it all comes down to asking yourself,
Am I enough?
But what does that mean?
It means that we go about our days,
Our weeks,
Our months,
And our years living for other people.
Living for other human beings.
It means that we are trying so hard to fit within this made up system to please other humans and it takes up so much of our soul's energy that we aren't able to truly listen deeply inside our own selves.
So I ask you dear one,
When will it be enough?
When will you have had enough to put the heavy bricks of judgment that you are carrying around about yourself and put them down?
When will it be enough that you can truly begin to let go,
To find that surrender?
When will you feel ready to say,
I've had enough?
You sitting here with your eyes closed,
Listening to these words,
Feeling your breath,
Gently filling your heart and filling your belly.
Going inside and listening now means that time is here.
You are ready to say that you have had enough now.
You are here because you are ready to get quiet.
You are here because you are ready to deeply listen to all the profound things that your soul has to say.
It is time to hear your heart and your soul speak.
It is time to listen to all that fills you.
It is time to know that you yourself,
As exactly as you come and as exactly as you are,
Is enough.
You are complete.
You are whole and you are perfect just as you are.
If you know there are things in your life that are not serving you,
It is time to say enough.
Fill your body with your breath as you inhale.
Soften your heart as you part your lips and exhale.
Repeat after me.
I am not defined by what I have.
I am defined by who I am.
I am light.
I am love.
I am bliss.
Most of all,
Dear one,
You are worthy.
You are worthy of all the greatest gifts the divine has sent you throughout this journey.
When you make your way through your day and you find yourself getting caught in the judgment system that society is instilling in us,
Take a moment to stop.
Take a moment to breathe,
To deeply inhale one large conscious breath in.
Exhale the things that are no longer serving you.
In this moment,
Today,
This week,
This month,
And this year,
I invite you to bring yourself back to your truth.
I invite you to bring yourself back to who you truly are because you,
Dear one,
Are enough.
Three more big inhales,
Filling your heart,
Filling your belly.
Exhale,
Surrendering,
Letting go to the tension that you are still holding inside the body.
Again,
Big inhale.
Exhale.
Last time,
Inhale.
And exhale.
We end this meditation with the word Sat Nam,
Which means I am truth.
And I hope throughout your day that you speak your truth,
Live your truth,
And be exactly who it is that you want to be.
Sat Nam.
