Begin by finding a position where your spine feels long but your muscles feel as though they are beginning to melt.

Whether you are in a chair or lying down,

Allow your weight to be fully held by the surface beneath you.

You don't need to hold yourself up anymore.

For the next 25 minutes,

Gravity is doing the work for you.

Close your eyes gently,

Not a hard shut,

But a soft lowering of the curtain.

Take a deep breath in through your nose for a count of four.

One,

Two,

Three,

Four.

Hold it at the top just for a moment,

Feeling the fullness in your chest.

And now,

Exhale through your mouth for a count of six,

Six,

Five,

Four,

Three,

Two,

One.

As you breathe,

Imagine the room around you is losing its edges.

The walls are softening,

The ceiling is lifting,

The floor beneath you is turning into a fine violet mist.

With every exhale,

You are becoming less solid.

You are shedding the doing version of yourself.

You are stepping out of your name,

Your job title,

And your to-do list.

They are the clothes that you are simply taking off for a while.

Inhale the cool,

Violet air.

Exhale the heavy,

Gray weight of the morning.

You are becoming light,

You are becoming air,

You are already beginning to drift.

You are now floating in an endless,

Opalescent sea of clouds.

There is no up,

And there is no down.

There is only this vast,

Shimmering space.

The light here is pearlescent,

Shifting from soft pinks to muted gold to a deep,

Restful lavender.

The air is the perfect temperature.

It feels like silk against your skin.

As you drift,

I want you to look at your hands and your arms in your mind's eye.

Every task you've touched today,

Every email you've sent,

Every difficult conversation you've navigated.

They have left a sort of mental density on you.

They feel like heavy stones tucked into your pockets.

I want you to reach into those pockets now.

Take out one of those stones.

It might represent a deadline.

It might represent a feeling of not being enough.

Look at it.

Now simply let it go.

As soon as it leaves your hand,

It doesn't fall.

There is no gravity here.

Instead,

It turns into a harmless,

Translucent bubble.

Watch it drift away into the violet mist,

Getting smaller and smaller until it's gone.

Take out another stone.

This one might be the stress of the next hour or the weight of a responsibility that you've been carrying for weeks.

Let it go.

Watch it turn into light.

Watch it dissolve.

You are not your output.

You are the space in which these things happen.

Feel the incredible relief of having nothing to hold.

You are floating on a layer of pearl-colored light.

The mist supports you completely.

You are safe.

You are unburdened.

You are simply being.

Now that you have cleared the space,

Notice a soft,

Gold light glowing at the very center of your chest.

This isn't a light that comes from your work or your achievements.

This is your core energy.

It is ancient.

It is quiet.

It is untouched by the burnout of the world.

With every breath you take,

This gold light expands.

It moves through your ribs,

Down your spine,

Into your hips,

Down to your toes.

It feels warm,

Like the sun on a late afternoon.

This light is your resilience.

It is the part of you that knows how to rest.

It is the part of you that doesn't need to prove anything to be worthy of this breath.

As the gold light fills you,

Feel your nervous system settling.

The fight or flight energy is being replaced by a restore and rest frequency.

You are recharging your internal battery.

Not with caffeine or adrenaline,

But with pure,

Still presence.

Slowly,

The opalescent mist begins to take shape once more.

You start to feel the weight of your limbs returning,

But it's a different kind of weight.

It's the weight of a well-rested body.

It's the weight of a clear mind.

Keep your eyes closed for a moment longer.

The violet mist is receding,

And you find yourself back in your chair,

In your room.

You've brought some of that pearlescent light back with you.

It is now woven into your skin,

Your thoughts,

And your breath.

Wiggle your fingers.

Wiggle your toes.

When you open your eyes in a moment,

You aren't going back to the grind.

You are stepping back into your day as the observer.

You are moving from a place of center rather than a place of reaction.

Take one final,

Deep,

Expansive breath.

Open your eyes.
