Welcome to the self-worth affirmation practice.

This practice is designed for people who may not fully realize their self-worth yet.

That's why the affirmations use words like maybe and I am starting to.

I encourage you to combine these particular affirmations with mirror work.

So go ahead and find a mirror in which you can see your full face.

I will say each affirmation twice and have you repeat it.

Stand or sit in front of the mirror.

Close your eyes for a moment and take a deep breath in through your nose.

Hold it for a moment,

Then exhale slowly through your mouth.

Open your eyes and take a look at your face in the mirror.

Make eye contact with yourself.

This might feel uncomfortable at first,

But it will get easier with practice.

And if you have a negative voice inside your head that makes comments about your appearance,

Thank the voice for the feedback and gently ask it to move aside for the next 10 minutes.

Take another deep breath while lovingly looking into your eyes in the mirror.

Repeat the following affirmations out loud.

Feel each statement resonate within your body and remember to take deep breaths.

Maybe my worth is intrinsic and unchanging,

Independent of external validation or accomplishments.

I am starting to believe that I am deserving of patience and understanding,

Especially from myself.

I am ready to treat myself with the same kindness and compassion that I offer to others.

I acknowledge my feelings without judgment,

Knowing they are valid and deserve to be heard.

The path I'm on is uniquely mine and I refuse to diminish myself through comparison to others.

Maybe my self-worth is not determined by my productivity or achievements,

But by who I am at my core.

I give myself permission to take up space and voice my thoughts and feelings authentically.

My boundaries are an expression of self-respect and I am working on honoring them with confidence.

I choose to forgive myself for past mistakes,

Release shame,

And move forward with a heart full of love and gratitude for who I am becoming.

Maybe I am worthy of love,

Respect,

And happiness exactly as I am in this moment.

Well done.

Take a deep breath in,

Hold it for a moment,

Then let the air out slowly through your mouth.

Notice how you feel after this practice.

Allow your feelings to just be there,

Whatever they are.

Accept them as valid.

Take one last look in the mirror and let a soft smile touch your lips.

Repeat this practice often until these affirmations feel true in your body and soul.

Namaste.
