Hello,
I'm Emeline.
Thank you for choosing me to guide you in your practice this morning.
We are going to be focusing on gratitude and intention for the new day ahead.
I see every day as a gift and morning practice just helps clear the clutter of the mind and leaves it open for all the glorious opportunities the day has to offer whether big or small.
So please take a moment to make sure you are as comfortable as possible whether you choose to sit or lay down for this meditation,
Perhaps a bolster under the knees if required.
You can have the palms facing up,
Just tuning into our bodies now.
Notice the feel of the ground beneath you,
Any areas of tension maybe in your shoulders,
The jaw,
Forehead and just give yourself permission now to relax those areas,
Let the muscles melt.
Find a softness to accompany you in this meditation this morning.
I invite you now to take some deep breaths,
Inhaling and exhaling through the nose,
Filling your lungs and belly up as you breathe in,
Breathing in peace and breathing out exhaling peace into the room,
Into the world.
And when you're ready just letting your breath come back into a natural comfortable rhythm for you,
Feeling completely relaxed.
You don't need to do anything but just listen to my voice right now.
Your breath is your guide,
Your mind may wander very naturally.
Just let that internal dialogue become a sort of gentle hum in the background of your mind,
Perhaps not fully silencing but not of any importance right now.
Your attention with your breath at the forefront of your mind,
On the inhale and the exhale.
Bring your attention now to your heart space.
You may even wish to place your hands here and feel gratitude for your body waking up this morning with all its amazing functions working effortlessly without your awareness.
Perhaps give thanks for any food that has nourished your body this morning,
For the person who grew that food,
Prepared it.
Bring your attention now to something good that has happened to you in the past few days,
Maybe a compliment,
An achievement or a phone call to a loved one.
If any negative thoughts enter here just let them go,
We're just inviting feelings of joy and delight in this moment.
Now picture in your mind those who you love.
Feel gratitude for each of them and feel your heart swell.
Let this joyful gratitude fill you up and extend it to gratitude for the earth,
For the rain that nourishes it and for the warmth and light which energize it.
I invite you now to set an intention for today such as I intend to see the good around me today or I intend to be kind even under pressure today.
Once you have chosen your intention take a moment to give it your full focus.
Your day ahead holds infinite possibility.
Entering it mindfully gives you the clarity to see without the clutter of your mind.
In many societies success is often measured by burning ourselves out,
Achievement defined by houses,
Wealth or social standing.
But you know success is far more simple and far more beautiful than that.
It is noticing all the blessings around us in each beautiful moment.
This is living life with real fulfillment and there is nothing you need to do to achieve this other than give your attention to each of these blessings.
Remaining now with your attention anchored by your breath,
The inhale and the exhale.
Silently repeat the following affirmations to yourself.
I bring with me today clarity.
I bring with me today patience.
I bring with me today feelings of joy cultivated from gratitude.
I bring with me today my ability to love.
I bring with me today my intention.
Let your focus today remain on your blessings.
There is a river of clarity and gratitude deep within your soul.
To reach it anytime you're feeling overwhelmed you just need to breathe.
The shift in your emotions you felt when you're experiencing gratitude is there for the taking when you need it.
Simply stop,
Tune in and experience the shift.
Peace is just a breath away wishing you health and happiness as you move through your day.
