This meditation is one of a 10-part series focusing on connecting with the astrological archetypes of the planets. In this guided visualization, you will meet the Disruptor archetype of the planet Uranus, however they appears to you. You will reflect on your individuality, rebelliousness, and authentic expression to learn how Uranus shows up uniquely for you. My planetary meditations are based on traditional/ancient astrology practices--they may not align with all schools of astrological knowledge.

Welcome back.

In today's meditation,

We'll use shamanic journeying to meet the disruptor archetype of the planet Uranus.

Uranus is the first of the outer planets,

The other two being Neptune and Pluto,

And it was discovered in 1781.

Shortly thereafter,

It was integrated into astrological practice.

In modern astrology,

Uranus rules the sign Aquarius,

And even if you don't have any Aquarius placements in your natal chart,

Uranus is still there and has an influence in your life.

Like all of the outer planets,

Uranus is considered a generational planet,

And moves much more slowly than the inner seven bodies.

It will stay in each sign for approximately seven years,

Taking 84 years to fully orbit the sun.

Uranus is named after the Greek god of the sky,

The father of the titans.

The general consensus in astrology is that the planet Uranus has much deeper connections to the myth of Prometheus,

The trickster titan who brought fire to humanity and faced the consequences of that with eternal punishment.

Uranus in our charts shows where we feel an impulse to be different,

To help rewrite societal narratives and to bring our unique individual gifts,

Whether or not society is ready to receive them.

Even if it feels difficult to connect with Uranus type energies,

I assure you they are within you.

We naturally have a relationship to the disruptor archetype.

We all have an internal rebel that has issues with the systems that are.

Think of a time when expressing your individuality made you stand out from the crowd.

Maybe there was something you expressed as a child and an authority figure punished you for it.

Maybe you said or did something and it was recognized and celebrated because of its uniqueness.

Maybe you were willing to be the odd one out and stood up for something you believed in because it was the right thing to do.

Uranus is the urge within us to express our most authentic selves,

To rebel,

To know that things can be different and to push back on systems that keep stale ideas in place.

Because of this,

Uranus is the disruptor archetype.

It can come into your life suddenly,

Disrupting patterns that haven't been healthy for you and showing you a new way to be.

And this almost always doesn't feel comfortable.

The part of you that deeply desires to express your individuality is related to how Uranus is placed in your natal chart.

How you connect with Uranus,

Or your internal disruptor,

Will certainly be influenced by where it is in your chart and what kind of communication it's in with other planets.

But it's there,

Helping you along in your life journey.

We're going to use shamanic dreaming to come into contact with your inner disruptor,

Your own personal Uranus expression.

I want you to relax,

Taking several deep breaths in and out together.

Breathe in.

Hold.

Release.

Come into the present moment and into your body.

Let go of outside thoughts.

Breathe in again,

Into wherever you're feeling the most sensation in your body.

Let it out with a sigh.

Last time.

Breathe in together.

Hold at the top.

And let it go.

Allow your mind to make space for this visualization to happen.

Set an intention to meet your inner disruptor.

Hold it in your heart.

Breathe into it.

And let it go.

Imagine you're standing on a rocky mountainside.

There are lava flows around you.

This is a volcanic site.

The ground beneath your feet is black and solid.

It was once a lava flow that has now cooled and become rock.

Look around you.

What do you notice?

What's the weather like?

What time of day is it here?

Are there any other animals,

Plants,

Beings,

Smells?

Really take in this environment and its energy.

Feel the strength of the volcano through the rock beneath your feet.

How do you feel in this environment?

You notice a pathway up the side of the volcano toward the caldera.

The energy here is welcoming you up to this place.

You cannot be hurt here.

The volcano has a lesson for you.

As you walk up the side of the volcano,

What do you notice?

Does the ground feel any different?

Is this an easy walk or are there obstacles in your way?

The path leads to the edge at the caldera of the volcano.

You take a seat at this edge,

Staring down into the powerful volcano.

It is calm at this time,

But you can see the heat and lava inside.

There are sounds coming from inside too.

The sounds of the center of the earth.

What do you hear?

How does it feel to be here?

The volcano creates new rock,

Refreshes the earth,

Gives the earth new material to continue to create and harbor life.

This is not a peaceful process.

It can be destructive,

Shocking,

Sudden.

Just like how events happen in our own lives that shake us up from time to time.

As you stare into the volcano,

You see these events come forth from your own life.

What comes up?

Are there any ways that you,

Not being your authentic self,

Have contributed to the discomfort of dealing with these life changes?

What parts of yourself have you held back?

Are they a dormant volcano waiting inside you for the right time to explode?

Is there a way that you can release some of this energy in a way that doesn't feel so explosive?

You look away from the volcano and notice there is another being sitting on the edge next to you.

This is your inner disruptor.

Your fire of self-expression.

The one who encourages you to express your authentic self no matter what,

Because your authentic self is who you are,

Here,

In this lifetime,

To be.

Not the self others want you to be.

What does your inner disruptor look like?

What does their energy feel like?

Your inner disruptor has something they want to tell you.

Listen to what they have to say.

I'll be silent for a while to give you time and space to receive this message and ask any questions you may have to them.

It is now time to leave this space.

Thank your inner disruptor for coming to meet you.

Know that you can come back here anytime or tap into this energy whenever you want.

Make your way back to the same place you came to the edge of the volcano.

Back to the part of the mountainside you arrived at.

Has the path changed at all?

Come back into your body.

Take a deep breath.

Wiggle your fingers and toes.

Take some time to let the messages you received from your inner disruptor to sink in.

Maybe write down anything that feels important for you to remember.

You were made to be you.

Of course,

There's a time and place for following the rules,

But there's also a time and place to question them.

The disruptor part of you has a deep understanding of this and can help you navigate those decisions.

I thank you for going on this journey with me.

I'm wishing you peaceful ease for the rest of your day from my corner of the universe.
