This meditation is one of a 10-part series focusing on connecting with the astrological archetypes of the planets. In this guided visualization, you will meet the Desire archetype of the planet Pluto, however, they appear to you. You will reflect on what you desire now, how unconscious desires have played out over your life, and how these things have motivated you to learn how Pluto shows up uniquely for you. My planetary meditations are based on traditional/ancient astrology practices--they may not align with all schools of astrological knowledge.

Welcome back.

In today's meditation,

We'll use shamanic dreaming practices to meet the desire archetype of the planet Pluto.

Pluto is the 10th and last planet in our solar system.

It was discovered in 1930 and integrated into astrological practice shortly after.

In modern astrology,

Pluto rules the sign Scorpio.

Even if you don't have any planets in Scorpio,

Pluto is still in your chart and influences your life.

Like the other two outer planets,

Uranus and Neptune,

Pluto is considered a generational planet because it moves very slowly.

Everyone in your generation will have Pluto in the same sign,

But not in the same house.

It stays in each sign for 12 to 30 years due to its orbit pattern,

And takes 248 years to orbit the sun.

As I'm recording this,

Pluto has just entered Aquarius.

The last time it was in Aquarius was in the late 1700s,

Coinciding with the Enlightenment period in history.

Pluto is named after the Roman god of the underworld.

His Greek equivalent is Hades.

Pluto in our natal chart shows how we deal with desire,

Both its shadows and as a source of motivation,

Our dark side or unintegrated self,

And our relationship to power and control.

Even if it feels difficult to connect directly to Pluto-type energies,

They are still a significant influence in your life.

We all naturally have a relationship to desire.

It's a human constant.

We have unique desires that drive us to seek out,

Both consciously and unconsciously,

Experiences that will teach us about that desire.

Maybe we achieve it and move on to the next one,

Or maybe we spend a lifetime grappling with a desire that never seems to be truly available to us.

Desire can be tightly woven with our relationship to power and control.

There might be a direct desire to gain control over others,

Or maybe it's a desire to give it away.

These urges are rarely fully above the surface in our conscious mind.

Think of something you wanted in the past that your relationship has shifted with.

Perhaps it was a relationship to a specific person,

Career success,

A certain kind of education.

Did you get that thing,

Or did you not?

How did the process in going after that desire change you?

The part of you that deeply desires anything is related to how Pluto is placed in your natal chart.

How you connect with Pluto,

Or your inner desire,

Will certainly be influenced by where it is in your chart and what kind of communication it's in with other planets.

But it's there,

Helping you along in your journey.

I'll do a guided meditation to come into contact with your inner desire,

Your own personal Pluto expression.

I want you to relax,

Taking several deep breaths in and out together.

Breathe in,

Release.

Come into the present moment and into your body.

Let go of outside thoughts.

Breathe in again,

Into wherever you're feeling the most sensation.

Let it out with a sigh.

Last time,

Breathe in together.

Hold at the top.

Let it go.

Allow your mind to make space for this visualization to happen.

Set an intention to meet your inner desire.

Hold it in your heart.

Breathe into it and then let it go.

Close your eyes and imagine you are standing inside of a house.

Whatever comes to mind is right for you.

Maybe it's the house you currently live in,

One you lived in at some point in your past,

Or a house you've never seen in your waking life before.

What does the inside of this place look like?

How is it decorated?

Walk around,

Taking in the details.

Notice everything you can,

Grounding yourself in this house.

You soon start to feel pulled to a specific room.

You follow that pull.

What does this room look like?

Have you ever been here before?

What color is it?

What do the floor and ceiling look like?

Are there any windows?

There is space for you to sit.

You settle yourself into this space.

The question comes to you.

What do you desire?

Answer it to the best of your ability.

Think about what you have desired in the past and the stories you tell yourself around those longings.

And again,

The question comes.

What do you desire?

Think about what it is that you desire now.

Keep asking yourself this question over and over until you feel that you have gotten to the root of a core desire.

Desire.

You come out of your memories and notice there is another being sitting in the room with you.

This is the embodiment of your inner desire.

This being holds your deepest longings,

All of them.

The ones you let others see,

And the ones that are so deeply private that you're barely aware of them yourself.

What does your inner desire look like?

What does their energy feel like?

Your inner desire has something they want to tell you.

Listen to what they have to say.

I'll be silent for a while to give you time and space to receive this message and ask any questions you may have to them.

It's now time to leave this space.

Thank your inner desire for coming to meet you.

Know that you can come back here anytime or tap into this energy whenever you want.

Make your way back out of this room to the front door of the house.

Has the path changed at all?

No.

Come back into your body.

Take a deep breath.

Wiggle your fingers and toes.

Take some time to let the messages you receive from your inner desire to sink in.

Maybe write down anything that feels important to remember.

We all operate from a place of desire.

For love,

Acceptance,

Achievement,

Safety,

Power.

There is no shame in having desire.

It's a universal experience of being alive that drives us toward the knowledge our souls need in this lifetime.

Thank you for going on this journey with me.

I'm wishing you peaceful ease for the rest of your day from my corner in the universe.
