This meditation is one of a 10-part series focusing on connecting with the astrological archetypes of the planets. In this guided visualization, you will meet the Dissolver archetype of the planet Neptune, however they appears to you. You will reflect on your spirituality, boundaries, and the stories you tell yourself to learn how Neptune shows up uniquely for you. My planetary meditations are based on traditional/ancient astrology practices--they may not align with all schools of astrological knowledge.

Welcome back.

In this meditation we will be using shamanic journeying to meet the dissolver archetype of the planet Neptune.

Neptune is the second of the outer generational planets,

Between Uranus and Pluto.

It's the eighth planet from the sun.

Neptune was discovered in 1846 and was integrated into astrological practice shortly after.

In modern astrology,

Neptune rules the sign Pisces.

Like Uranus and Pluto,

Neptune moves much more slowly than the first seven bodies of astrology.

It spends about 14 years in each sign and takes 160 years to fully move through the zodiac.

Neptune is named after the Roman god of the sea.

He is the counterpoint to the Greek god Poseidon.

Neptune in our natal charts points to our idealism,

Where we tend to wear rose-colored glasses,

To our dreams,

Both day and night dreams,

Psychic abilities,

Intuition,

And can also point to places in our chart where we are unable to see clearly,

To be lost in a fog.

Even if it feels difficult to connect with Neptune-type archetypes,

It's still in your chart.

We naturally have a relationship to the dissolver archetype.

We've all had points in our lives where we dissolved something,

Whether it was a relationship that wasn't working,

A thought pattern that wasn't serving us,

Or maybe a profound spiritual experience where we felt connected to the entirety of the universal consciousness and dissolved our own egos temporarily.

Think of a time where you lost yourself in a relationship with another person because you dissolved into them.

Maybe this started young with your parents,

Needing to please them to feel cared for,

So you ignored your individuality to become who they wanted you to be.

Or a romantic partnership where you ignored your own desires because you wanted so badly to be with this other person.

Neptune doesn't have to only deal with relationships though.

Perhaps you became identified with a specific philosophical or religious ideation and surrendered yourself to that.

Or maybe it was an identity you developed around a theme you've experienced throughout your life.

These dissolving experiences can be important for knowing ourselves and our connection to the universe in this lifetime.

The part of you that deeply desires to surrender to Source and release your separation from others is related to your Neptunian expression.

How you connect to Neptune or your inner dissolver will certainly be influenced by where it is in your chart and what kind of communication it's in with other planets.

But it's there,

Helping you along in your life journey.

We're going to use shamanic dreaming to come into contact with your inner dissolver,

Your own personal Neptune expression.

I want you to relax,

Taking several deep breaths in and out together.

Breathe in.

Hold.

And release.

Come into the present moment and into your body.

Let go of outside thoughts.

Breathe in again and to wherever you're feeling the most sensation in your body.

And then let it out with a sigh.

Last time,

Breathe in together.

Hold at the top.

And let it go.

Allow your mind to make space for this visualization to happen.

Set an intention to meet your inner dissolver.

Hold it in your heart.

Breathe into it.

And then let it go.

Close your eyes and imagine you're standing on a beach,

Right at the edge of where the ocean meets the land.

As the waves pull in and out,

Your feet and lower legs awash with water.

Look all around you.

What does the sky look like?

What's the weather?

What time of day is it?

Do you notice any animals,

Plants or other beings around you?

If you pay close attention,

You notice an energy coming from the water.

How does it feel in your body?

How do you feel here?

The energy coming off the ocean is welcoming you to walk deeper into the water.

In this dream,

You'll be able to breathe and see under the water without any problems.

You continue to walk into the water,

Your feet still against the sand beneath you.

Is the ground under your feet smooth or rocky sand?

Eventually your head goes under too.

Look around you in this space.

What do you see?

Is the experience of being under the water different from being above?

What creatures,

If any,

Do you notice here?

What does the water feel like on your skin?

You notice a pathway on the ocean floor in front of you.

You swim or walk along it,

Taking in all the sights of this aquatic world.

All of life originated in this place,

Humanity included.

The ocean is the womb of the earth.

Eventually you come to a space where you notice a large rock with a flat top.

What does it look like?

Are there any plants or creatures around the rock?

You sit on it and your body settles,

Even as you feel the pull of the currents around you.

Do you hear anything?

How does it feel emotionally to be here?

As land beings,

The ocean is a mystery to us.

There's something about being here that feels incredibly dreamlike.

Water has the ability to dissolve and erode,

To shape the earth with its power,

And yet it also has the power to give us life.

Our bodies are over half made of water.

Feel the water within you meet the water of the ocean.

Feel how the boundaries dissolve.

As you feel this,

Memories come to mind where you have dissolved into other people,

Or into philosophies or ideas,

Into identities that have boxed you in.

Where you have made things that aren't gods into gods and they have come up short.

What comes to mind?

Who do you see?

What part of your life has been most impacted by these ideas?

Is it happening to you now?

Take some time and space to reflect on these thoughts and memories.

You come out of your memories and notice there is another being sitting on the rock.

Next to you.

This is your inner dissolver.

This being holds your deepest desires to not be separate from others.

To lose yourself in endless imagination.

To feel spiritually connected.

To allow yourself to dream.

What does your inner dissolver look like?

What does their energy feel like?

Your inner dissolver has something they want to tell you.

Listen to what they have to say.

I'll be silent for a while to give you time and space to receive this message and ask any questions you may have to them.

It's now time to leave this space.

Thank your inner dissolver for coming to meet you.

Know that you can come back here anytime or tap into this energy whenever you want.

Make your way back the same way you came to this rock at the bottom of the ocean.

Back to the part of the shoreline you arrived at.

Has the path changed at all?

Come back into your body.

Take a deep breath.

Wiggle your fingers and toes.

Take some time to let the messages you received from your inner dissolver to sink in.

Maybe write down anything that feels important to remember.

Although we are inherently separate in our bodies in this lifetime,

There is a part of you that is innately connected to the divine knowledge that we all are one.

The inner dissolver in yourself knows how to balance being one and being an individual.

You don't have to lose yourself in love or experiences or identities to touch the divine.

Thank you for going on this journey with me.

I'm wishing you peaceful ease for the rest of your day from my corner of the universe.
