Hi my sweet friends,
Today is going to be a little bit different.
This is not a meditation and it's not a story,
But it's something that is going to be really useful for you.
I'm going to teach you a technique that helps you to calm down when you're feeling upset or stressed.
Maybe this happens at school and you're in a situation where you need to calm down but keep it private,
Like you don't want everybody to know that you're stressing or you're hurt or you're upset.
This is perfect.
It's also perfect to do when you're in your own space.
Maybe when you're laid down in bed at night,
You can do this to help you to fall asleep.
It's wonderful,
Okay?
And it's really easy.
And I do it all the time.
So go see that.
You casually are going to make mountains.
With your fingers and you also use your breath at the same time.
So every time you go up a mountain,
With your fingers.
That's an in-breath.
Okay?
So you breathe in.
A nice big deep breath as you breathe in but what you're going to do is slide your finger just up to the top of your thumb.
And you can do this really light without anybody seeing.
Just do it under the table at school.
So you go like this,
Your trachea.
Thumb breathing all the way up to the top.
And then.
.
.
As you go down the mountain.
You breathe out nice and slow.
And then come around and you go up,
Breathe in,
Up the mountain.
All the way to the top.
Slowly breathe and down on the mountain.
Breathe up the mountain,
Slow.
Breathe down the mountain,
Slow.
Up the mountain slow down the mountain slow and you do that for as long as you need to.
So basically,
It'd just look like me doing this.
Brown at school or something,
You wouldn't even notice.
Okay.
That's the technique.
And it's going to help you to calm down.
It's going to help you to relax.
It's going to help you to feel safe again if you feel stressed and upset.
It's going to help you to fall to sleep if you need to fall to sleep.
And you can do it on either hand.
So you can do it on your other hand.
Basically you're mountain breathing.
You're climbing the mountain on the inhale and you're going down the mountain on the exhale.
Try it and let me know in the comments,
Okay?
Bye,
Sweeties.
