Tucker & Leo | (Mr Kitty Part 1) Intro & Extroverts

This Awesome, Fun Bedtime Story For Kids is about two dogs called Tucker & Leo. The dogs get a kitty come to stay with them and have to deal with the differences between them!
These fun stories are created to help children of all ages settle down for a happy night's sleep. Aiding to reduce anxieties, stresses and worries by replacing them with a smile.

Are you ready to meditate with Corrie?

Climb up into your bed and make sure that everything is just right in your room.

Turn the lights down nice and low so that you can relax your body.

Hopefully,

Eventually,

You'll fall fast asleep as you listen to the story.

Tucker was going absolutely nuts.

Kitty,

Mr.

Kittens,

Kitty Kitterton,

One or two or three of his many names,

Isabel and Dan's cat had come to stay at the house for six months.

Dan,

Isabel's husband,

Was going away.

Because he's in the Navy,

He was being deployed for six months.

So Isabel was coming back home to stay with Leo and Tucker,

Her mom and dad,

And she was bringing Kitty,

Mr.

Kittens,

With her.

Tucker was beside himself.

Oh,

Leo,

Leo,

Leo.

I'm so excited,

Leo.

Leo,

I don't know what to do with myself.

I just can't bear it,

Leo.

I can smell the cat.

I can taste the cat.

I can just go like this.

I can just go like this.

I can just go sniff the cat at the bottom of the stairs.

Why won't the cat come downstairs,

Leo?

Why won't Mr.

Kitty come downstairs and say hello?

I mean,

It's not like I'm going to eat it or anything,

Leo said.

Oh,

Really?

You think so?

Tucker said.

Leo,

Don't be so negative about it.

You know I have a problem with cats.

I can't help myself.

I mean,

I can be friends with cats.

Look at me.

I'm friends with Heidi,

Cherry and Bea.

I'm really good friends with those guys and I don't want to eat those guys.

Sometimes it's very difficult,

Especially if they've been eating something that's really tasty like tuna or like peanut butter or especially if they've been eating salmon.

Because if they eat something like that,

Leo,

And then they come and play and hang out and then they smell like that.

It's like double,

Double,

Double,

Double like torture for me because one,

They're a kitty and I like to chew on kitties.

Two,

They taste like salmon,

Leo.

And you know salmon's one of my favourite foods,

Leo said.

Tucker,

It's been two days.

Kitty obviously is not ready to come downstairs yet.

You have to give him some time to get brave or to get used to this new surrounding,

The new house,

The new sounds,

The new smells.

He'll calm down eventually.

What I don't understand,

Leo,

What I don't understand is why mummy and daddy had to put a baby gate at the bottom of the stairs so I can't go up and visit.

And it's not that I'm gonna go up and chew the cat apart or anything because I wouldn't do that,

Leo.

I mean,

Like I think over time,

Right,

I've been getting much better.

I don't even think I would eat the cat anymore.

It's not as if I'm hungry because mummy gives me lots of snacks.

I think,

I think what they're worried about,

Leo,

Is that I might just attack kitty and like frighten kitty so much that kitty gets so scared that if a door's open he accidentally runs away because he doesn't know this neighbourhood,

Right?

Leo said,

Exactly.

Kitty doesn't know the neighbourhood so they don't want him to go outside.

Another thing is we have lots of coyotes around here and kitty might get eaten by a coyote.

Also,

There's big hawks around here and kitty might get grabbed by a big giant bird.

Oh my goodness gracious me,

Said Tucker.

I didn't realise there were so many predatory animals around here.

It's not that we would notice because we're big dogs.

We're big dogs,

Me and you,

Leo.

And I can say that because,

You know,

When we go to the dog park sometimes,

Not that we go very often because mummy and daddy think it's way too stressful because,

You know,

I'm a bit banned.

I think I'm banned from the dog park.

I'm banned from the dog beach.

I'm banned from the dog park.

So we just have to like,

Hopefully,

Bang into other doggies on our walks.

But,

You know,

What I was going to say is,

Looking at the other doggies when we did go to the dog park,

Is that we're quite big at the sight of most doggies.

Lots of doggies are quite small.

So I think it's all the healthy snacks that mummy gives us.

And,

You know,

You know,

I think if mummy didn't give us those healthy snacks then maybe I might eat kitty.

But I don't think I'm going to eat kitty.

I think I'm going to be so good,

Leo.

Mummy just needs to give me a chance.

Isabel just needs to give me a chance.

Two days later,

Someone came downstairs and didn't close the baby gate.

Two days later,

Leo noticed that Tucker had disappeared.

Two days later,

Leo heard mummy shouting upstairs,

Tucker,

Get down those stairs.

Two days later,

Leo heard Tucker's toenails scratching across the wooden floor upstairs and then bounding down the stairs very,

Very quickly.

Tucker came running into the living room.

I didn't get to see kitty.

I thought I'd get to see kitty.

I was so excited,

Leo.

I ran upstairs,

I ran in mummy's room,

I ran in mummy's bathroom,

I ran in the spare room.

You never guess what,

Leo.

Leo said what?

Tucker said,

Isabel's bedroom door was closed and I was banging my nose on it and sniffing really strongly and I was sniffing and I think kitty,

Mr.

Kittens,

I think he could smell me too because I heard him go and I was like,

Oh hello kitty and I heard him go,

Go away,

I'm not ready for you.

And I was like,

What?

That's not very polite of you.

That's not very nice.

And Mr.

Kitty said through the door,

Go away,

This is my room.

And I was like,

Mr.

Kitty,

Don't be so antisocial.

I'm a very social doggy.

I won't eat you,

I promise.

Even though you do smell delicious,

You smell like those catnipy things that your mummy gives you,

That Isabel gives you.

I smelt those downstairs yesterday because she got them delivered from Amazon and I was like,

Oh,

What's in this box?

It smells absolutely delicious.

And then when she opened them,

They were like these dried liver things for kitties.

And I was looking at Isabel with my biggest,

Softest,

Saddest eyes and Isabel gave me one and it was absolutely tasty.

It was really nice.

Did you like it,

Leo?

Leo said.

You know,

Even though it was a kitty snack,

It was really good.

Yeah.

See,

Exactly.

Guess what?

Mr.

Kitty smells just like those treats.

So if I did meet Mr.

Kitty,

I think I would just lick him a little bit if he was okay with it.

That is,

Leo said,

You know,

Maybe you should ask consent before you go ahead and lick Mr.

Kitty,

You know,

To check first to see if he's comfortable with that,

Because he might not like that and he might scratch your face.

I know that cats can be very defensive and I'm not going anywhere near that cat.

Isabel brought Kitty over for a visit one time and that cat hissed at me.

That's it for me.

I'm done.

Unless Kitty comes up and says,

Do you want to be friends?

I am staying away from it.

It looked pretty darn mean.

You best watch your eyes,

Tucker.

Tucker said,

Do you think I should wear sunglasses when I say hello to it next time?

You know,

You know,

Not everybody's got used to this baby gate yet and that's why somebody left it open and now it's a ha ha ha ha ha ha.

Silly people.

Silly humans.

They're so silly sometimes.

And I was like,

I'm in.

I'm in.

I'm in.

I'm in.

And I was saying it and I was saying it all the way upstairs.

I'm in.

I'm in.

I'm in.

I'm coming,

Kitty.

I'm coming.

But Kitty didn't want to talk to me,

Leo.

I'm quite upset about it.

But you know,

Actually now,

I'm glad you've warned me because when I go meet Kitty next time,

I'm going to wear my sunglasses.

I'm going to protect my eyes because I don't want to be blind,

Leo.

You know,

There was one time right where Mummy didn't know I was in the shoe cupboard and she closed the door and she closed the door on me and it was so dark.

It was like the darkest,

Darkest darkness.

It was darker than night time because you know sometimes when it's night time,

You can see shadows and things can't you?

But the shoe cupboard,

When you close the door on it,

Leo,

It was absolutely petrifyingly dark.

Pitch black.

Pitch black it was.

Leo said,

Oh Tucker,

I would have hated it.

I think I would have,

I think I would have had a panic attack.

I would have got so claustrophobic.

I would have been screaming and crying,

Mum,

Let me out.

Oh,

I don't think I'd have liked that at all.

I know for sure that would have definitely set my allergies off,

Especially with all those yucky smelly shoes.

Oh,

That just sounds like my worst nightmare,

Tucker said.

Oh,

I didn't even notice the smell of the shoes,

Leo.

I actually think shoes smell nice because they smell like feet and you know I like feet.

But yeah,

Anyway,

That was really dark and I was,

What was I talking about the dark for?

Now I've forgotten.

Leo just stared at Tucker.

Tucker just stared into space as if something was going to come back to him any second.

Tucker started drooling a little bit because he was thinking about something else.

Oh,

I got totally sidetracked in and I was thinking about pancakes.

Oh,

Nope,

Sorry,

It's gone.

It's completely gone.

Sorry,

Leo.

I forgot what I was going to say about it.

But anyway,

Yes.

So I'm thinking,

Oh,

It came back.

It came back.

I'm thinking,

Right,

These humans,

They're not used to this baby gate yet,

So they're going to leave it open again,

Aren't they,

Leo?

And my plan is that both of us go up there together because I think Kitty might like you really because you're a nice doggie.

Leo said,

No way,

No way.

There's absolutely no way I'm going up those slippery,

Slidy,

Horrible wooden floor stairs.

No way in any way or day or form.

No way.

Tucker said,

Well,

Don't blame me if Kitty becomes my next best friend and he doesn't even know you because she didn't take the time to welcome our new guest.

Leo said,

I think if our new guest wanted to be welcomed into the house downstairs,

It would have been down here by now.

Just have a break.

Chill out.

Have a little nap.

It's time for a nap,

Tucker.

Tucker started to run around in circles.

I can't nap when there's something so beautiful and delicious upstairs.

How can I nap?

Oh,

My sanity has been questioned.

I'm like,

I live with a cat.

Who'd have thought I ever lived with a cat?

I never in a million years would have thought that I lived with a cat.

I can smell the cat.

I can taste the cat.

Oh,

Gosh,

It's so difficult.

Tucker kept running around in circles for a bit longer and then he puffed himself out and got tired and went and laid on his dog bed next to Leo.

What we're going to do about this,

Leo?

It's a bit traumatic for me,

You know,

Leo said.

Tucker,

You just have to chill out.

I'm sure Kitty will want to meet us soon.

Just let him get used to it up there.

You probably sound like a crazy dog that's going to eat him,

Running around,

Bounding all over the place,

Being overly excited.

What if Kitty is an extrovert?

Tucker said,

Kitty is an extrovert.

How do you know he's an alien?

Extroverts.

They're from another planet,

Aren't they?

Leo said,

Tucker,

I don't know what you're talking about.

I thought I said introvert,

Didn't I?

Tucker said,

No,

You said extrovert,

Leo,

I think.

Anyway,

I heard extrovert and I know what an extrovert is.

An extrovert is one of those little aliens that comes from another planet.

Leo said,

Tucker,

That's an extraterrestrial,

Tucker said.

Oh,

Oopsie daisy.

Right then,

So what's an extrovert?

Leo said,

An extrovert is someone that likes lots of company,

That likes to go outdoors,

That likes to be in big crowds,

That likes to have a lot of things going on,

That likes the hustle and bustle.

An introvert is more like me,

That likes things quiet,

That's a bit more subdued,

That is a little bit more shy,

That likes quiet time,

That likes alone time,

That kind of thing.

Kitty,

Mr.

Kittens,

Might be an introvert and he might like his alone time,

Tucker said.

Oh my goodness,

Two introverts in one house.

Oh,

I was hoping he was going to be an extrovert like me and come from another planet.

Anyway,

Yeah.

Oh,

All right then,

Suppose I'm just going to have to be patient.

Patience is not my strongest virtue.

In fact,

I think being clumsy is probably my strongest virtue.

I'm very clumsy,

But no,

Not patience,

Definitely not.

Patience was not something I was born with.

Not at all,

Is it time to meet Kitty yet?

I completely got sidetracked again and I lost,

I lost all my patience that I was talking about.

Just completely flew out the window.

Leo said,

Tucker just got to sleep.

Tucker got quiet,

Got settled and eventually shut up.

And Tucker and Leo ended up having a really nice afternoon nap.

We'll have to see when Kitty comes downstairs,
