My name is Cori,
Let's meditate together.
Close down your eyes if you haven't done so already and make sure that you're sat comfortably in a seat.
Spine nice and straight.
Try and make a conscious effort to relax everything around your spine,
So soften your shoulders.
Make some space between your teeth and soften your jaw.
Feel into the space around your eyes and make sure that your eyebrows are soft and relaxed and the space across your forehead is not tense,
It's soft and relaxed,
Allowing the space around your eyes to therefore relax as well.
Imagine in your mind that you're wrapping a big warm soft fluffy blanket around the back of your body,
Bringing it up close around your neck,
You can feel it on your cheeks as you wrap it around the front of your body.
But you're still sat there in crisscross applesauce,
So from the outside it looks like a teepee with your head exposed at the top,
But everything else is comfortable and warm and cozy inside.
And then using your imagination just a little bit more,
Imagine that you can lift the blanket so that your head comes into the teepee below,
The pyramid that you've created with your blanket around you and you're sat cocooned in this warm,
Dark,
Safe little hibernation spot that you've created for yourself.
The airflow is good so it's comfortable,
You can breathe nice long slow deep inhales and exhales,
Consciously shutting out the rest of the world,
Creating a very safe little home for yourself inside of this blanket that you've created the cocoon with.
Sit nice and tall in there and if you feel it,
If you opened your eyes it would be pitch black all around you,
Darkness around and within,
But there's a sweet,
Sweet healing in this darkness,
There's a peace and a complete stillness and quiet.
Even though there might be slight subtle noises on the outside world going on,
In here it's still.
The only rhythm and noise is your breath,
Like a wave on the ocean.
It's a constant,
With no effort on your part,
The circular motion of in and out,
Creating this sense of alpha and omega,
Infinity,
That sense of forever going on and on.
And as you settle into the pace of your breath and this sweet space of quiet darkness all around you,
Imagine that you're shutting down everything,
You're shutting down the mind's thoughts,
You're shutting down any excess energy in the body,
Everything is coming into rest mode,
Seclusion in this darkness.
If you listen and you feel into the stillness,
You'll start to feel the hands that hold you in this darkness,
Big,
Giant hands of God,
Source,
Whatever you believe in,
That thing that is higher than you,
Bigger than you,
But that thing that you are a part of holds you in the darkness,
Supports you.
So not only is it warm and still and quiet in your cocoon,
You're also being supported and held to just be,
You can just breathe and be,
Imagine the darkness like a wave coming through your mind,
Washing away all the busy thoughts,
All the unnecessary thoughts.
And as it moves through the mind and your thinking system,
It leaves behind this sense of just peace and calm,
Stillness for a few moments,
Let the wave rush down through your throat,
Let it wash away any conversations that's not necessary,
Let it wash down over your heart space,
And as it moves through,
Any sadness or grieving or pain can just disappear into the space of darkness,
Let it move through your solar plexus and take away any insecurities,
Any lack of confidence,
Let it wash through your sacral and take away any guilt,
Let it any flighty confusion or disconnection,
Just slowly caressing through your body,
Taking away anything and allowing it to just disappear and disperse into the darkness around you.
It's got you,
It's holding you dearly,
Just breathe and relax,
And as you are still in this quiet space,
Know that your whole body is being allowed to be renewed and recharged,
In this rest,
In this stillness,
There's magic going on inside,
New cells,
New energy forming,
New life bubbling inside,
But you're here to enjoy this sweet rest,
Feel the complete relaxation in your entire body,
Feel this cocoon of safety,
Let your nervous system completely reset,
Every breath that you take in and every exhale that you release,
Your nervous system feels the all is well in this place,
All is well in my body,
All is well in my world.
And with that and this new life inside of you,
You pop your head up out of your cocoon,
You can imagine in your mind that you're letting the blanket fall off your shoulders and down to the ground,
Like a seed coming up out of the soil,
Coming out and back into the light,
Into this world,
Ready for whatever comes your way.
Namaste my friends,
And so it is.
