Are you ready to meditate with Kari?

Make sure that you're comfortable in your bed and everything feels just right in your body.

The light is just right in your room.

You're comfy and warm and ready to relax after a long day.

Let's talk about something very,

Very special.

I want you to close your eyes and take a nice,

Big,

Deep breath.

Breathe all the way down to the middle of your chest,

Down into your heart.

Breathe out and let go of your day.

Breathe in and allow relaxation to start to come into your body.

Breathe out and let go of tension.

Breathe in and start to imagine that you're communicating and you're connecting with your inner light.

See in your mind that you have a light in the middle of your chest.

You can imagine the light to be like a candle with a flame shining bright.

Or you can see your light as big as the sun in the sky or as bright as the moon at night time.

Your light can be a star.

Your light can be whatever you want it to be.

Use your imagination and imagine this light in the middle of your chest,

Right there in your heart center.

This guiding light is always guiding you forward.

This light,

This friend that's inside of you,

Will never ever leave your side.

It will always be within you,

An aspect of you,

A special part of who you are.

Every single one of us has this light.

Good people,

Not so good people,

Tall people,

Small people,

Round people,

Skinny stick people,

Black people,

Brown people,

Yellow people,

Red people,

White people,

It doesn't matter.

We're all the same in that we all have that light,

Our special friend in the middle of our chest.

Our light keeps us company.

Sometimes it feels like it has a voice.

Sometimes it feels like that voice inside of your mind.

But know that your inner light would only ever have your back.

If you hear other voices in your mind that are negative,

That don't say nice things,

That voice is a different kind of voice.

That voice is another aspect of who you are that's called the ego.

The ego too is part of us.

The ego is also our friend.

But the ego has very specific behavioral traits.

That means it behaves in a certain way and sometimes it sounds as if it's negative just to make us be afraid.

Afraid of this,

Or afraid of doing that,

Or afraid of change,

Or afraid of people,

Or our future,

Or afraid of our imagination even.

The ego uses fear to keep us safe.

So even though it feels as if the voices say negative things,

All it's really doing is trying to keep you safe.

But when the light talks,

It's very different.

When the light talks to us,

It's positive,

It's loving,

It's reassuring.

The light always,

Always has our back.

It always is our friend and it knows everything about us.

It knows our capabilities,

It knows all of our weaknesses,

It knows all of our faults and all of our good things,

And it still loves us.

Our light,

That light in the center of your heart,

In the middle of your chest,

Always,

Always loves us.

It always has a message of love for us and everyone else in this reality.

Your friends,

Your parents,

Strangers.

Your inner light comes from a place of love.

All it ever wants to do is protect us,

To guide us,

To lead us forward so we grow and get better and become better people every day with all of our experiences.

Our light feels comforting,

It feels warm,

Like a hug in the middle of your body.

When you really can see it and feel it in your mind,

It feels like your entire being is glowing,

Glowing from the center of your chest.

And that glow that it gives off feels like happiness and love and joy to everyone around you.

You can make your light brighter.

You can make your light go very,

Very dim.

It all depends on who you are and how you act in this world.

If your actions come in from a place of love,

Your light will always shine very,

Very bright.

If you have gratitude in your heart for all that is good in your world,

Your light will shine very,

Very bright.

If you have compassion and you're caring about animals,

People,

The planet,

Your light will probably shine very,

Very bright.

Sometimes that light that we all have in the middle of our chest,

Right there in our heart center,

Sometimes that light will help others by being so bright it can guide others,

Lead them in a direction when they're lost or alone or afraid.

Your light,

If it's bright enough,

Can help everyone around you.

That's how amazing your light is.

Take a nice,

Big,

Deep breath and imagine every time you breathe in,

That light in the middle of your chest shines really,

Really bright,

Like Rudolph's nose or a star on the top of a Christmas tree.

And every time you breathe out,

You send out that magical glow all around your body,

All around your room,

All around where you live,

All around the world.

It's so bright.

Breathe in the light and breathe out the light,

Just as if you're giving and receiving,

Giving and receiving every time you breathe in or breathe out.

Make sure that you're all comfortable in bed.

You still have your eyes closed.

Now all I want you to do is take nice,

Long,

Big,

Deep breaths.

Breathe in and breathe out.

Breathe in,

Focus on your light,

And breathe out your light.

Breathe in and make your light grow bigger and bigger and bigger.

Breathe out and send out that love,

Send out that light to the rest of the world.

Keep breathing in and breathing out until you eventually drift off into sweet dreams.
