Are you ready to meditate with Kori?

Climb up into your bed and make sure that you're super comfortable.

Check that everything is just right in your room.

The lights are just right.

You're wearing your cozy,

Comfy pajamas.

And all is well in the world.

So that you can relax your body and let go of your busy,

Busy day.

It was getting closer and closer to Halloween.

Stephanie was excited about Halloween.

She was thinking about two or three,

Maybe four different things that she wanted to be.

She couldn't decide.

She was wondering if Moonbow Forest would be doing the whole thing for Halloween.

Since she wasn't doing anything right then,

Stephanie decided maybe a little trip to Moonbow Forest to see what was going on there could inspire her to know what she was going to be for Halloween this year.

So she walked over to a dressing table.

She sat down,

Pulled her jewelry box towards her and opened it up.

There inside were her magical earrings.

She took them out and put them on one by one.

Took a nice,

Big,

Deep breath and then closed her eyes.

Stephanie started to feel the tingles.

She felt them in her feet at first,

Tingly toes and tingly feet.

And then those tingles ran all the way up her spine.

Her nose started to itch and twitch and she wanted to sneeze just like always.

She was just about to sneeze when she saw the veil there in front of her eyes.

It was shimmery and transparent,

Flecks of silver light shining through.

She could barely make out shadows on the other side,

Even though this veil between the two worlds was so transparent and sparkly and bright.

Stephanie reached forward with her left hand and pulled the curtain to the side and stepped through into the other world of Moonbow Forest.

She felt the grass on her feet,

That familiar feeling of them being prickly and soft and spongy all at the same time.

And then Stephanie opened her eyes to what looked like a crazy,

Busy,

Chaotic fairground.

There was stuff happening everywhere.

There was so much laughter and noise.

Stephanie looked in the crowd of all the different characters and beings that live there at Moonbow Forest,

All appearingly celebrating Halloween.

She saw ghosts,

Skeletons,

She saw monsters,

Frankenstein,

All different characters,

All different beings dressed up as different things for Halloween.

She couldn't find Luna,

Her unicorn friend,

At first.

Where is she?

She thought.

There was so much going on,

It was really hard to spot her.

But then she finally saw a group of unicorns and she spotted Luna right there with them.

She made her way over to Luna.

Hi,

She said.

Luna turned around and looked at Stephanie.

Oh,

I'm so glad you're here.

Welcome,

Stephanie.

You're going to have so much fun.

Come over here,

I want to show you this.

This is the best thing ever.

Luna started to walk Stephanie over to what looked like a big,

Big group of skeletons.

They weren't dressed up skeletons like they are here.

They were actually real-looking skeletons.

And for a moment,

Stephanie was like,

Oh,

That's a bit scary.

She stood closer to Luna as they walked and Luna said,

Oh,

No,

Don't worry.

They are so funny and friendly.

These are the skelebots.

You'll like them,

Trust me.

They got closer and closer and then when they finally got to the group of skelebots,

They all turned around and said,

Hi,

Stephanie.

And then they started whittling and jiggling and clacking their bones together.

And as they whittled and jiggled and clacked their bones together,

Skeleton-shaped candy popped out of their palms.

They all held their palms up and Stephanie opened her hands and cupped them together,

Not knowing what to do.

She caught so much skeleton candy.

Luna was giggling.

Stephanie said,

Oh,

My gosh,

What do I do with it all?

It was pouring over the sides of her hands.

It was just coming out,

Coming out,

Coming out.

Stephanie thought really fast.

She lifted the bottom of her sweatshirt and put her sweatshirt underneath all of the skeletons' palms.

Just like popcorn pops in a popping machine,

These little skeleton candies were popping out of their palms.

They were all laughing and moving and clacking and jumping.

And they just kept coming and coming and coming.

Stephanie grabbed a hold of a handful and popped them in her mouth.

Oh,

My gosh,

They were delicious.

They were like tangy,

Lemony,

Sherbet-y,

Like chalky kind of crunchy candies.

Oh,

They were so good.

Luna said,

OK,

OK,

Now come,

Come over here,

Come over here.

This is so funny.

Luna and Stephanie said goodbye to the skeleton bots,

And then they started to walk in a different direction.

Stephanie,

With a sweatshirt full of skeleton candies,

Followed behind Luna.

They were walking through the crowds.

Like I said,

There was balloons.

Everybody was so happy.

They all had glow sticks on.

So much candy.

There was candy absolutely everywhere.

Bowls and bowls and bowls of it.

And then they got to a group,

Actually a circle,

Of ghosts.

These ghosts weren't just ghosts that looked like they were wearing a white sheet.

No,

These were like Casper the ghosts,

And you could see straight through them.

They were real ghosts,

But they all looked jolly and friendly once again.

Luna said,

This is my friend Stephanie.

She needs a turn.

Stephanie looked at Luna and said,

What do you mean I need to turn?

She said,

Go into the middle of the circle and you'll find out.

Stephanie went into the middle of the circle of the ghosts.

The ghosts started to spin and fly around her,

And then they got faster.

Stephanie's hair started to whip all over the place.

She was holding on to a skeleton candy close by her tummy in her sweatshirt,

Thinking,

What on earth is going on here?

Her hair started to fly even higher.

The ghosts got faster and faster.

And through the circle of the ghosts,

She could see Luna smiling at her.

So she knew she was safe.

This was obviously what they did.

They flew faster and faster and faster until they created some kind of typhoon.

It was like she was in the middle of a whirlwind.

And then she could smell something really sweet,

Strawberry-flavored from the smell of it.

And then the ghosts started to form this shape as they spun faster.

And faster.

They were making cotton candy.

Cotton candy.

And then all of a sudden,

They slowed down.

And one of the ghosts stepped forward and handed her the biggest ball of cotton candy.

Strawberry flavor.

She leaned forward and bit into the big giant ball of cotton candy and bit.

It all melted and dissolved around her mouth and her lips.

It was yummy,

Absolutely delicioso.

Thank you,

She said.

Thank you so much.

Luna said,

Come on,

Come on.

This is the best part.

This is the best part.

Luna took her to the center of the crowd.

All of the unicorns were there.

All in a big circle.

Luna said,

Just a second.

She put her forehead down to Stephanie's forehead.

And their foreheads touched.

Stephanie closed her eyes.

And when she opened her eyes,

She noticed she was dressed just like Rumi from K-pop Demon Hunters.

Stephanie looked at Luna and said,

How did you know that this was one of my choices?

Stephanie reached up and she could feel the big fat braid on the top of her head,

Just like Rumi has.

Rumi was her favorite character in the movie.

She loved her.

And her outfit was exactly the same.

Her hair was violet,

Exactly the same.

She felt so cool.

Luna said,

Now you're ready.

Jump on my back.

Stephanie put everything down and jumped on top of Luna's back.

Hold on tight,

She said.

This is the most important part of the evening.

We need your help.

The unicorns all started to rise up off the ground in their circle.

The noisy,

Chaotic crowd started to quieten down.

Stephanie had got no clue what was going on,

But it was something exciting.

The unicorns rose about 20 feet off the ground and then started to come in closer,

To the point where all of the horns touched.

There was 12 of them in total,

So they looked like a clock.

Each one of them coming together to a point in the middle where the horns touched.

And then there was a crackle and a pop.

Like a sound of thunder and electricity.

As if the horns were waking up something magical inside of each one of them,

Now that they were all touching each other.

Stephanie held on tight.

And then there was a golden light started to form in the center where the horns touched.

And this sound,

This music started to come from each one of the unicorns.

It was like the coolest,

Most beautiful Halloween music she'd ever heard.

It was ghostly and haunting,

But sweet and soft and not scary at all.

And the golden light started to grow.

And Stephanie thought about the K-pop movie and the golden grid that the girls created when they sang.

Without even thinking about it,

Stephanie opened her mouth and started to sing.

She didn't recognize the words that came out of her mouth,

They were just sounds.

Sounds that fell into the same harmony as the sounds that the unicorns were making.

And the golden light got brighter and brighter.

And then it flew up to the sky and created a rainbow.

An umbrella of golden light over all of Moonbow Forest.

Stephanie felt so much like Rumi in that moment.

It was like she was her.

She wasn't Stephanie.

She was really Rumi,

Just like the ghosts were really ghosts.

And the unicorns are really unicorns.

And the skeletons are really skeletons.

Stephanie was really Rumi,

Singing,

Creating this golden grid over Moonbow Forest.

She'd never sang like that before.

In fact,

Stephanie didn't think she was a good singer.

But here,

In this energy,

She sounded like an angel.

And the sound just kept pouring out.

And Luna at one point said,

Good job,

Stephanie.

That's exactly what we need.

This singing,

This ritual of sorts went on for about five or ten minutes.

And then at one point,

Unicorns all bowed their head and disconnected their horns and started to come apart from each other in the circle.

Stephanie stopped singing.

And the crowd below went crazy.

Cheering,

Clapping,

Throwing candy up in the air.

Stephanie was so happy.

It was like she got to live a dream.

When Luna came down to the ground,

Stephanie hugged her around her neck.

Just like always,

Luna knew exactly what she was doing.

It was the best Halloween that she'd ever,

Ever experienced.

In fact,

She thought about it and thought that nothing in the future could possibly top this.

Stephanie climbed down off Luna when they got to the ground.

She picked up all her skeletons,

All of her candy and her candy floss.

And then,

Just like that,

As if that's all she needed,

She was back in her bedroom.

Sat at her dressing table.

Dressed just as herself.

She looked in the mirror and smiled the biggest smile.

She knew exactly who she was going to be for Halloween.
