Tucker and Leo were all hanging out in Tucker and Leo's kitchen.

They were talking about snacks.

Cherry had declared her favourite snack.

Alright,

I've been thinking about it since we've been talking about it.

It's so interesting,

Right,

How many different snacks I actually like,

But I think I have to say my very most,

Most,

Most,

Most favourite is chocolate.

Heidi said,

Oh yeah,

Chocolate's good.

Cherry said,

OMG,

I know,

Right.

What is it about chocolate?

There's something about chocolate,

Right,

That makes you just feel so good inside.

You're having a bad day.

Chocolate always makes you feel better.

Vea said,

Maybe it's the cacao.

Cacao,

You know,

Has certain properties inside of it that make you feel love,

Like it opens your heart and makes you feel all in love.

Cherry said,

OMG,

Vea,

Are you joking?

Vea said,

No,

That's,

That's what cacao is.

Cacao is like very sacred.

It's like,

You know,

Medicine.

Some places in the world do cacao ceremonies and they make special chocolate drinks and then they pray on them and they infuse them with magical energy and then everyone drinks them and feels really good and dances and everyone feels happy and euphoric.

Cherry said,

You what?

Vea said,

It means you feel good about your world.

Cherry said,

Oh wow,

I'm not surprised I like chocolate.

I knew it because it's because I'm so smart.

I'm so smart and I'm so in tune.

My gut that talks to me all the time was the one that said,

Eat chocolate,

Because if you eat chocolate,

You're going to feel so good inside.

You're going to feel full of love and all that fully love stuff and you're going to be all lovey dovey and all that lovey dovey stuff and like,

Just from a bar of chocolate.

Heidi said,

Well,

You know,

Not all chocolate bars are full of cacao like that.

A lot of chocolate bars are just mostly sugar and that's not that great for you.

You have to go for the dark,

Deep,

Rich chocolate bars that don't have any dairy in them.

The ones that are just mostly cacao,

Raw cacao in its true form.

That's what Vea's talking about.

Oh,

Said Cherry.

Oh,

And I was thinking,

You know,

I do enjoy a little bit of a salted caramel.

I don't think that's the same,

Heidi said,

Anyway,

What I was saying is my favourite is chocolate.

Leo thought about it for a second and said,

I do like cheese sticks.

Cheese sticks,

Said Cherry,

All disappointed in Leo's choice.

Who would choose a cheese stick for your snack?

Leo said,

I would.

I like cheese sticks.

Tucker said,

Oh,

I love cheese sticks.

I love it when mum puts a cheese stick in her chewies,

Leo said,

Yeah,

Tucker said,

Oh,

Cheese sticks are good,

Cherry.

They're so good.

But you know what my favourite is?

Favourite is,

Favourite is thing that mum drops on the floor and I love it.

I absolutely love it.

It's my favourite.

Guess what it is?

Cherry said,

Chips.

Tucker said,

No.

Er,

Stick.

Is it stick?

Tucker said,

That's not a snack.

No,

My favourite is most favourite is snack in the whole world is banana.

Oh,

I do love a banana.

Banana,

If mum's doing bananas,

You know what she does with bananas,

Cherry?

She does this really weird thing that's so good,

So good.

She takes the coats off.

You know the jackets on your banana?

She takes the jacket off the banana,

Right?

And then she puts them in bags.

But she only does it when the bananas have got really,

Really old.

You know when they get spots on them and they go really sweet and mushy?

She does that.

She puts them in freezer bags,

Right?

And then she freezes them.

And then,

And then what she does,

Right,

Is when she's making a smoothie with her freezer frozen bananas,

She breaks them off and she gives it to me and she drops it to the floor and I'm like,

Oh,

Mummy,

You know me so well.

You know me so well,

Mummy.

And I get all excited and I wag my tail and then Leo jumps in as if he wants to snack.

And I'm like,

Leo,

This is my banana.

And Leo's like,

Oh,

Sorry,

I thought it were a cheese stick.

But actually,

You like bananas too,

Don't you,

Leo?

Leo nodded.

See?

Yeah,

Bananas,

Frozen bananas,

Especially are the bestest.

Oh,

Yes,

That's my favourite snack.

What's your favourite snack,

Heidi?

Heidi thought about it for a second and said,

Hmm,

Definitely salt and vinegar crisps.

Oh,

Said Tuka,

I like them too.

But actually,

You know,

It's kind of funny because anything that falls on the floor,

I really do like.

I would like to say I like to snack on most things that you can snack on.

In fact,

The only thing I don't like is mushrooms.

I don't like mushrooms.

They've got a funny texture and when you chew on them,

They're squeaky.

Don't like that at all.

I do like squeaky balls,

Though.

I really like my squeaky ball and I like my duck.

I have a duck.

My mum bought me a duck,

Right?

She bought me a duck.

And when you when you bite on it,

It squeaks.

And it's so fun.

I like that.

I like to bite on it because it goes crack,

Crack like that.

As if you you like really like actually biting on a duck.

Not that I would bite on a duck,

But actually,

You know,

There was this one time that we went to a pond and I did.

I did chase ducks because they looked like they'd be nice snacks.

Leo rolled his eyes.

He was remembering the time that Tuka actually did chase the ducks at the duck pond.

And all the little kids were running around screaming and crying because they were scared of Tuka,

Because Tuka was chasing the ducks.

Leo thought that was very embarrassing.

Not a great memory as far as he's concerned.

Heidi said,

Yeah,

I think I'm more of a savoury kind of snack person than a sweet person.

I prefer like olives or chips or,

You know,

Something savoury.

Rhea said,

Oh,

You know,

My favourite,

My most favourite favourite,

This is my latest favourite,

Meringue.

Cherry said,

OMG,

I do like a meringue.

You know what's so nice about a meringue,

Right?

What's the best thing about a meringue is that they melt in your mouth.

You have a bite of it and you're like,

Oh,

This is so crunchy.

And then like two seconds later,

It just dissolves into your mouth and it's all sugary and sweet.

And it's like,

Oh,

These are so nice.

I like any favourite meringue.

You know,

One time,

I had a cake that was a meringue cake and that was so good.

And it had strawberries and fresh cream all over it.

And I think it was called a messy dessert.

Was it a messy dessert or a messy meringue or an upside down?

No,

I don't know.

But it was so nice.

Oh,

So nice.

Yeah,

I agree.

Meringues are delicious.

Tucker said,

Not as nice as frozen bananas.

Raya said,

Well,

I think I'll disagree.

I don't really like frozen bananas,

Tucker.

Tucker said,

Oh,

You don't know what you're missing,

The next time,

The next time my mum makes frozen bananas and she drops me some on the floor,

I'm just going to very carefully pick it up with my little teeth.

And I'm going to put it on a napkin and I'm going to save it for you.

Cherries started laughing really loud.

Oh,

Tucker,

That sounds so gross.

You slathered all over it.

Two,

Your teeth have been all over it.

Three,

How long would a frozen banana say frozen?

Four,

How long have you ever noticed a banana that you're open,

Not going brown?

Tucker said,

Bananas don't go brown.

Cherries said,

Tucker,

Bananas go brown.

Everyone in the world knows that.

You open up a banana and then if you don't eat it all the way,

It goes brown like it's really old and yucky.

Tucker said,

I don't think my bananas have ever lasted that long.

They're my favourites and I love to eat them.

So,

Yeah,

Actually thinking about it,

I think I eat them a bit too fast because I don't even,

They don't even touch the sides.

I just kind of shook them up and swallow them really fast and they're so delicious.

Leo said,

I can vouch for that.

I don't think Tucker even like flinches,

He's just on it and it's literally swallowed and gone in less than a second.

Whereas a cheese stick does last a lot longer.

I much prefer a cheese stick and sometimes,

You know,

Sometimes bananas,

I think I get a little bit itchy with bananas and then that makes my skin flare.

And then before you know it,

I'm scratching too much.

And then before you know it,

I have to have an irritation like,

You know,

Allergy tablet.

And then before you know it,

I'm sleeping way too much because the allergy tablet made me tired.

So I think I'll stay away from bananas and stick to my cheese sticks.

Cherry said,

Can we stop talking about bananas?

OMG,

Can we just get back to chocolate?

Did you know that dogs can't eat chocolate?

Actually,

I don't know whether cats can eat chocolate.

Anyway,

Yeah,

But,

You know,

I think out of all the snacks that we've discussed and we've talked about,

That mine sounds much more exotic than anyone else's.

Well,

Apart from meringue,

Meringue is very interesting.

But Heidi,

Heidi,

Heidi,

Salt and vinegar crisps.

I mean,

That's about as blasey and boring as you get.

Heidi said,

Salt and vinegar crisps?

Boring?

Are you joking?

They're so good.

Mind you,

If you eat too many,

They do make your lips go white and funny because of the vinegar.

It kind of pickles all your mouth and makes your mouth go funny and sore.

Cherry said,

Exactly.

I mean,

Anyway,

Yeah,

No,

I think I would prefer something like a cacao.

Cacao ceremonies.

That sounds much more me.

Definitely.

I think actually.

Tucker,

Do you have any chocolate?

Tucker said,

I don't know,

But I'll have a look in the cupboard.

Tucker went over to the snack cupboard,

Pressed one of his paws on it and it popped the door open.

Tucker's so smart like that.

He gets through doors and things and opens gates.

He looked in the snack cupboard.

He didn't see any chocolate.

No chocolate,

Cherry.

Sorry.

No chocolate.

And anyway,

If I can't eat chocolate,

We're not supposed to eat chocolate.

Then it's best that we don't snack on chocolate because we might all have an accident and possibly like go to toilet on the floor or something.

And then my mum's not going to be happy at all.

Can you imagine if mum comes home and these dogs and cats being all over her floor?

Oh,

She'll be so mad,

Especially if we do it on a rug.

Oh,

Mum will be like,

What did you do it on my rug for?

Could you have not at least done it on the wooden floor part?

Do you always have to do it on the rug?

She says that every time that Leo throws up,

Because Leo throws up on a rug every single time in the same place,

It's like his favourite place to throw up.

Leo said,

Well,

It's just familiar.

And when you're feeling ill and sick and you just want to be sick,

You don't worry about whether you're being sick on a rug or the wooden floor.

Cherry said,

Yeah,

But Leo,

You could be a little bit considerate.

Do you know how much it takes to get off sick off a rug?

You have to scrub it and spray it and do all of that stuff.

Whereas if you just do it on the wooden floor,

It's so much easier to clean up and mop up and spray up.

You don't have to do it for ages and ages and ages.

Rubbing away the rug.

Poor Leo's mum.

Leo said,

Oh,

Sorry,

Tukka said.

The one good thing,

Though,

Is my mum got those rugs that you can put in the washing machine because she was so tired of having rugs for a little bit and then going,

Oh,

No,

This rug is worrying again because Leo's been sick on it again and again and again.

And for some reason,

Leo's sick is always yellow like mustard.

What's that all about,

Leo?

Leo just started to look uncomfortable and embarrassed about the conversation and said,

I don't know.

Maybe it's the cheese sticks.

Anyway,

Yes,

So my mum got these rugs right and they're genius,

They're brilliant.

You put them in the washing machine and then she takes them out and then she puts them back down and they stick on like a sticky thing so they don't move around.

And then guess what happens?

Leo goes and sticks on one again and then she's like,

Oh,

No.

And then she scrubs it and it don't come up.

So then she has to scrub it and put it in the washing machine again.

And then and then it's all nice and clean.

And then she takes it out to the washing machine and she puts it on the floor again.

And then a week later,

Leo goes and sticks on it again.

And it's like a vicious circle.

Heidi started laughing.

I did see some salt and vinegar chips in there,

Though,

Tucker.

Tucker looked in the snack cupboard and pulled out a bag of salt and vinegar chips with his jaw,

With his teeth and passed them to Heidi.

And Heidi started happily munching on salt and vinegar chips.

Cherry said,

Well,

If you'd have had chocolate,

I would have made us some cacao and we could have done a ceremony.

We could have worn like feathers and stuff and beads and like I've seen those ceremonies where they dance and they look so cool and like so like like hippie like,

You know,

And they all look like they're so happy.

We could we could I could have painted like,

You know,

Like,

You know,

I they have those like tattoos and stuff.

I could have painted tattoos on us and we could have like all danced like we were.

Oh,

What's that dancing call now?

Not like Irish dancing.

No,

That's not it.

What's it called?

What's it called when everybody just dances all like crazy as if like the oh,

They're so cool.

And everyone's barefoot.

Oh,

What is it?

Heidi said,

Are you talking about aesthetic dancing?

Yes,

That's it.

Aesthetic.

I'm aesthetic.

Aesthetic dancing.

That's it.

So cool.

Always looks so cool.

And everyone like dances so crazy and so weird.

And it's just like you think,

Are all these people nuts?

But they're not.

They're not nuts.

They're just dancing like really happily,

Like freely expressing themselves.

I just got it.

It's the cacao that makes them dance so happy like that.

They drink the cacao.

They feel like all you you what were it?

Euphoria.

You euphoric.

They feel all euphoric and unhappy inside because of the cacao,

Because it's medicine.

It's native medicine,

You know,

From the earth.

And then they're like,

Oh,

I can't stay still.

My body.

My body just wants to jig and move and dance and hip hop and all of that fun stuff.

That's it.

That's what they're doing.

It's because of the cacao.

I knew I would.

That's why chocolate always makes me feel so good inside.

It does give me a little bit of tummy ache sometimes,

But most of the time I feel so good after chocolate.

And sometimes I do get a little bit crazy because I eat too much and I like the stuff with way too much sugar in,

To be honest with you.

But,

You know,

At the same time,

I did once try really,

Really,

Really dark chocolate.

It was so dark,

So dark.

It was like dirt dark.

That dark,

Like black dark.

And I had a look at it and I was like,

Where's the sugar?

But don't tell anyone.

I was like,

Yeah,

This is so good.

It wasn't because it wasn't sweet.

It was really bitter.

And it was like,

Oh,

Gosh,

Where's the sugar,

Man?

And then if no one was looking,

I would have put some honey on top.

Anyway,

The cats and the dogs talked about snacks some more for a while.

They ended up eating lots of different snacks out of the snack cupboard.

And then eventually,

Heidi,

Cherry and Vea went home.

They had a shower.

They put on their comfortable pajamas.

Brushed the teeth and all the snacks off the teeth.

And then finally jumped into their big,

Soft,

Comfortable cat bed.

They snuggled down.

And fell fast asleep.
