Are you ready to meditate with Cori?

Lay down and get comfortable,

Make sure that you're wearing your bestest favourite pyjamas,

You can relax your body and let go of your busy day as you listen to the story.

Heidi,

Cherry and Veyr had had a very,

Very busy,

Busy morning.

They decided it was time to go and hunt for a Christmas tree.

A real Christmas tree this year.

For the last five years,

The parents had had a fake Christmas tree,

Which was very pretty and all,

But they were super excited about the idea of getting a real pine Christmas tree.

Something that smelt like pine in the forests.

A Christmas tree that you actually had to water so it didn't turn brown and die too early.

They'd found a place about ten minutes away from where they lived,

Where they were outside,

Looking at all the different Christmas trees on the Christmas tree lot.

Cherry liked a really,

Really tall one.

She said,

OMG,

OMG,

This one's so perfect.

It's so perfect.

It's like calling to me.

It's going,

Oh,

I'm the perfect Christmas tree.

Can you hear it?

Can you hear it?

I've been listening to all of the trees,

Right?

Because you know,

You know trees talk,

Don't they?

And I've been listening to this one and it says,

I'm really tall and I'm really bushy and I'm really,

Really cute,

But I might be too tall.

But don't worry,

You can always cut some off the top of me.

That's what the tree said to me and I was like,

Oh,

Wouldn't that hurt if we cut the top of the tree off you?

And the tree said,

No,

Don't worry.

I've already been cut.

Look at me.

I haven't got any roots.

And I said,

OMG,

Poor tree.

How come you've not got no roots?

And the tree said,

Because I'm a Christmas tree and they've cut my roots off.

That's why I'm in this Christmas tree lot.

Oh,

I said,

Oh,

Sorry,

Tree.

Anyway,

I had a really good conversation with that tree and it said,

Yeah,

It wants to come to our house.

Veya said,

I really like this one.

She was pointing to a tiny tree that must have been just like two feet tall.

It was really,

Really sparse and tiny.

Heidi said,

Why do you like that one,

Veya?

Veya said,

I think it would look really nice in my bedroom with just fairy lights,

Pink fairy lights.

And I was thinking,

Oh,

That would be so nice.

Cherry said,

That tree would be absolutely perfect for you,

Veya.

You're right.

But I don't think it's big enough for the living room.

Heidi said,

What about that one over there?

I really like this one.

Heidi walked towards a tree that was about maybe six feet tall.

And it had been sprayed with fake snow.

So it looked like its branches were covered in snow.

Veya said,

Oh,

It's perfect.

Cherry said,

OMG,

Yep,

Definitely.

I love it too.

It looks like it's from like a forest that's been full of snow,

Like somewhere really nice and cold.

Oh,

Can you imagine?

Can you imagine it snowing on Christmas Day?

That would be so nice and so awesome.

I always get so jealous of people that live in places where it could possibly snow on Christmas Day.

Because you know,

It's like,

You can't imagine Christmas Day looking any other way better than it's snowing on Christmas Day,

Can you?

You know,

It's really nice living in California and everything.

But you know,

It gets kind of boring because it's always nice.

Where we live,

It's always warm.

And you know,

Some people in the world will be going,

Oh,

You poor thing.

But really,

They're really jealous because all they ever get is rain and snow and cold.

And I'm sure if you get it all the time,

Then you'd be like,

Yeah,

Yeah,

I wish I lived where Cherry and Heidi and Veya lived because then I could go surfing all year round.

So yeah,

I see it.

I see what I'm saying is not very nice in a certain way.

But you know,

I would really like snow for Christmas.

And this Christmas tree says snow all over it.

It says,

Oh,

It's snowing.

Christmas Day.

I think it's perfect.

Cherry reached out and touched the tree.

OMG,

It's so spiky.

I almost impaled myself.

Heidi started laughing.

Cherry,

I don't think you can impale yourself on a Christmas tree.

I don't know about that.

I just had a flash.

I had a vision right in my mind that I was walking through the living room and it was dark and I was going to the toilet and I tripped over a Christmas present.

And as I tripped,

I fell on the Christmas tree.

Four places.

Got completely impaled.

Stabbed me in four different places.

And I'm laying there going,

Ow,

Ow.

And no one comes and gets me.

And that's how you all find me Christmas Day.

Can you imagine?

Oh,

That were an awful vision.

That were awful.

No,

This Christmas tree is so spiky.

I had an idea.

We have to go back home though.

Heidi said,

Oh,

What if someone comes and buys the Christmas tree?

This perfect Christmas tree.

Cherry said,

We can always ask him.

He looks a very nice guy.

She pointed to a guy that looked like he worked at the Christmas tree lot.

He had a white beard,

A woolly hat,

And a big red nose because it was cold,

But not that cold.

But maybe it was just because he looked like Santa that his nose was really big and red.

Faye said,

Oh,

Is that Santa?

Cherry said,

No,

No way,

Jose.

Heidi said,

I don't think so.

They all,

Three of them,

Started walking towards the guy that looked like Santa.

Heidi said,

Hello,

Excuse me,

Would it be possible to save this particular Christmas tree?

We have to go home,

But we're going to come back.

The guy turned around and said,

Ho,

Ho,

Ho,

Of course.

Cherry,

Faye,

And Heidi all stared at each other with their eyes really big and their mouths wide open.

I think it's Santa,

Said Cherry.

OMG.

The guy started laughing and rubbed his big fat belly.

He had a very big fat belly just like Santa.

No,

Sorry,

Sorry,

Little kitties.

My name's Jack.

I wish I was Santa.

He has a very nice job.

No,

Yes,

Of course,

We'll save the tree.

No problem.

The cats drove home.

Heidi said,

Why on earth do we have to drive home?

Cherry said,

Trust me,

Just trust me.

And also,

You know,

I forgot,

I completely forgot when I was talking to Daphne and Lilith last week,

I said that they could come with us to get Christmas trees and they were very excited.

You know,

Daphne,

She's so cute.

She's so cute.

And Lilith,

I thought Lilith would do really good helping us decorate this tree because she likes everything sparkly.

And,

You know,

Faye,

You love Lilith.

And I also wanted Ian to come and I wanted Iris to come because I love those guys.

And Iris has a really good opinion on stuff because she's a bit older.

And Ian,

Well,

We just need that male energy,

Don't we?

We need a guy when we're doing our Christmas tree.

So I was like,

Oh,

Oh,

No,

We found the perfect Christmas tree.

And I forgot to call me friends.

So we have to go home to call us friends.

But also we have to go home because we need to get something very,

Very,

Very,

Very important.

When the cats got home,

Cherry called Ian and Iris and Daphne and Lilith.

She told all of them to come over really fast and bring oven gloves.

Heidi and Faye were listening to her call all the friends thinking oven gloves.

What does she need oven gloves for?

Cherry said,

Oh,

That's good.

All right.

They're going to be here in about five or ten minutes.

Luckily,

They all live really close.

And I told them to bring the oven gloves.

Heidi said,

Why are they bringing oven gloves?

What for?

Cherry said,

You'll wait and see.

Make sure you get some.

I know my mom's got loads.

She likes to collect oven gloves.

So make sure we've all got a pair of oven gloves.

And don't forget them because it's super important.

When the kids came over,

They all made the way back to the Christmas tree place.

They were walking onto the Christmas tree lot and Cherry said,

Put your oven gloves on,

Guys.

Assemble yourselves.

Everyone put their oven gloves on and followed Cherry.

When they got to the tree with the snow on it,

It was perfect.

It's like the sun was shining down on it and it was cloudy on all the other trees.

Cherry said,

Right,

Now we're now we're here.

You can all help carry this Christmas tree because now you won't get poked because you've got your oven gloves on.

So smart,

Me.

I'm so smart.

You know,

Sometimes I just can't help myself.

I'm like,

Where did that come from?

How did I know that I needed to be like,

You know,

Prepared like that?

Sometimes I just can't help myself.

Sometimes I'm just like,

Cherry,

You're so like,

Smart.

You're so,

You're so,

I don't know.

I just don't know how like normal people could be around me sometimes because I'm so smart and I'm so amazing.

So,

So beautiful inside and out and I'm so talented and I'm so funny.

I kill myself.

I crack myself up most of the time,

Guys.

And I'm just like,

You know what?

You know what?

When we try and carry that Christmas tree,

We're all going to get impaled.

I can see it all.

Death could be on the news.

Oh,

Gosh.

Three cats and four kids all died today trying to carry a Christmas tree.

And that's what I heard in my head.

And I was like,

No,

No way,

Jose.

No,

We're not.

Because I'm too smart for that.

I'm too smart for that.

I'm too smart for that.

That's what I said to myself.

I was like,

No way.

Because if we all wear oven gloves,

Then we're going to be protected.

And those oven gloves,

Those oven gloves will make us look very smart.

And you know,

If Jack,

The guy that works here has any brains,

He'd sell them.

He'd be like,

Yeah,

You're buying a Christmas tree today.

Okay,

I think you should also buy some oven gloves.

You know,

If I'm really smart,

I should design my own oven gloves.

And I should have a picture of me,

You and Bea wearing Christmas tree hats,

Like with a big cheesy cat smile.

Like with his paws up,

Like thumbs up,

Like yay.

On the actual oven mats,

Oven mitts,

Or oven gloves,

Or whatever you want to call them.

But yeah,

That would be absolutely,

That would be ace.

That would be so cool.

Can you imagine?

I just had a thought.

I just had a flash,

You know,

Because I'm so psychic.

I had a flash that,

You know,

All the kids like you guys.

Ian,

I can see you walking through a Christmas tree place.

Iris,

You're so tall and I can see you doing it.

I can see you walking through a Christmas tree place.

Oh,

My cute little Daphne.

And Lilith,

You've got all your sparkly,

Sparkly,

Pretty princess clothes on and you look so cute and pretty.

And I can see you walking through a Christmas tree lot.

And you're like,

In the future.

And you're like,

All over the world in different places.

And you're like,

Wearing oven gloves that have got my face on it.

Like everyone in the world is wearing oven gloves with my face.

Well,

Also Heidi and Vaeus if they want.

But maybe we could like just do like individual pictures and then maybe people could just choose to see my face on the oven gloves.

I mean,

Heidi,

You're really cute and I love your grey complexion.

And Vaea,

You're so cute.

You know,

You're so fluffy and white,

Which would be perfect on red oven gloves.

Can you imagine?

It's just genius.

I can see it.

I can see it in my mind.

But my red fur,

My ginger,

Well,

Ginger,

My ginger fur on like some black background with like,

OMG,

It's Christmas or something like that written on it would look so fabulous.

Oh,

Yeah.

Anyway,

Yeah.

But now you've got your oven gloves on everyone.

Let's carry this tree to mom and dad's car.

And then they can,

They can,

They can,

They can drive us home.

And I'm so excited.

Because then we get to decorate.

Everyone helped Heidi,

Cherry and Vaea to strap the white,

Snowy pine tree on top of their parents' car.

They drove home,

Got everyone home in one piece,

Including the tree.

And they put the tree up in the living room.

Vaea,

Lilith and Daphne and Iris and Ian all helped put like 300 tiny little flashing fairy lights that look so beautiful.

And they put loads of ornaments that they collected over the years since they were tiny little kittens.

This year,

Vaea put on a ballerina that was made of porcelain.

With like a little frilly ballerina dress on it.

So cute.

Heidi found a stack of books that were made from wood.

She hung those on,

Like a miniature little ornament of books,

All different colours.

And Cherry found the perfect,

What she thought was perfect,

Christmas tree ornament.

It was Santa Claus on a surfboard.

Perfect,

She thought.

And then afterwards,

When they were done with the Christmas tree,

The cats made everyone hot chocolate.

They'd found these snowmen that were made of chocolate that had marshmallows inside.

And all you had to do was warm up a cup of milk and put the chocolate snowman in.

And then the snowman just melts into the milk and eventually makes the most delicious hot chocolate.

Oh,

So good.

They were listening to Christmas music,

Talking about how excited they were for the holidays.

Whether it was Christmas or Hanukkah or Kwanzaa or whatever it was.

The holidays were just good all round.

Everyone gets to be with the people that they love and maybe buy them a gift to show them how much they love them.

That can't be too bad,

Right?

When everyone went home,

The cats decided to pull their cat bed into the living room and sleep next to the Christmas tree with all the tiny hundreds of twinkle twinkle lights.

It was a little bit hard to fall asleep at first because they were so bright.

They were super excited about Christmas,

Which doesn't help.

But eventually,

All three of them fell fast asleep.

The end.

Hey Cory I love all of your meditations ❤️ They always help me fall asleep at night Whenever I’m feeling sad or happy I still listen to one of your meditations because they always make me feel good about everything in life. You are such a good example to other little kids like me. I was wondering if you could make a meditation where the whole gang of cats and dogs turn into humans and they go to some sort of concert and they’re invited into the stage, please consider my idea!
