It was quite an adventure because,
Believe it or not,
The cats had never ever been to a candy store before.
When they first walked through the door,
They couldn't believe their eyes.
Wall to wall,
Absolutely everywhere.
Was candy.
All different colors,
Different shapes,
Different sizes,
Different flavors.
The kids,
Alex,
Abby and Gabe,
Couldn't wait to show them different types of candy.
They were going to show them one of their favorite types.
I mean,
Everybody has so many different favorites with candy,
Right?
Alex introduced Cherry.
To pop rocks.
Cherry's life.
Was never.
Ever.
Going to be the same.
OMG!

It's doing something!
It's doing something really weird on my tongue oh i don't think oh i don't think i like it it feels like it's gonna explode in my mouth oh my goodness can you hear that Can you hear it?
It's popping.
It's popping in my mouth.

This is absolutely amazing.
Oh my goodness,
It's awesome.
It feels so funny.
It feels like I've got like balloons popping in my mouth.

What would it be?

Like a BB gun or something like that.
It's like pop,

And it's like popping on the side of my mouth.
It's popping on my tongue.

It's popping absolutely everywhere.
I can even feel it popping in my ears.
It's popping so loud.
It's like a fire engine just like blaring away in my mouth.
I don't think I'm ever going to be the same after this,

This is like the bestest,

Funnest candy I've ever,

Ever had.
I mean,
The only other thing I've ever had that was like this was sherbet.
And sherbet's fun because sherbet's kind of tickly on your tongue when it's all like sparkling.
And it's like sour and sweet at the same time.
I really like Sherbert.
Sherbert was probably my favorite before I had this.
But these,
These,
These are like the bestest thing ever.
Poppy Rockies!
Who would have thought Poppy Rockies would have changed my world?
You know what?
I'm gonna write to the people that make Pop Rocks and I'm gonna say,
Pop Rock people,
You rock my world.
You and my friend Alex.
Because Alex,
He introduced me to them.
And therefore,
I think he's awesome.
And I'm gonna really love Alex forever and ever and ever.
And every birthday,
And every Christmas,
And every Valentine,
And every Mother's Day,
Even though I'm not a mummy.
And every Father's Day,
Even though I'm not a father.

Alex is gonna buy me Pop Rocks.

That you're gonna buy me pop rocks every single holiday birthday celebration anything pop rocks different flavors different colors I'm sure do they all do the same thing do they all like the strawberry do something different to like lemonade flavor or just like lemonade flavor do something different to like a blueberry flavor or do they all just have different flavors but they all go absolutely mental in your mouth is that what happens Alex started laughing.
He was very happy with Cherry's reaction to Pop Rocks because Pop Rocks are the coolest candy ever made.
Abby was going to introduce Heidi to a candy called Spaceships.
Not everybody knows about spaceships.
Spaceships are like these round discs that are made from like a sugar paper.
And then they have something very special inside.
And you put the whole disc in your mouth and it starts to melt very quickly.
Like rice paper would.
And then,
When it melts.
.
.
You get sherbet.
Fizzy?
Why?
Sweet?
Sour.
Sherbert.
Like an extra gif.
After the outside of the spaceship melts.
Abby said.
Now,
Heidi,
These come in all different colours.
They're always all the same size.
But they come in pink.
And I think that that's it,
" said Abby.
I decide.
Do you ever bite them in half?
And then pour the sherbet out into your mouth.
I think I would like to do that.
At Heidi.
Abby said,
Mmm.
That sounds like a good idea.
They both took a spaceship.
They bit it in half and it crunched in their mouths.
The rice paper melted on the tongs.
And then they both opened their mouth at the same time and poured in the white.
Fizzy Sherbet.
Ooh,
Said Heidi.
I like doing it like that.
Abby said.
Good idea.
But I think I prefer to put it all in at once and let it melt.
And then get the sherbet surprise at the end.
Gay.
Was on his way over to Veja.
Gabe asked Faye to put out her paw.
Once you put out a path.
He slid on.
A ring pop.
Oh,
Thank you,
Gabe.
Methinks you're so sweet,

Is it a ring?
Gabe said,
Yeah,
It's a ring pop and it's for you and and it's so that you can marry me and then we'll be married.
Veya said,
You're asking to marry me,

Me thinks that maybe you're a little bit young to get married.
Gabe was only five.
Gabe said.

Me doesn't think so.
Actually,
I think I'm old enough.
I've been ready to get married for a long time.

Licked his own ring pop.

These are a very good idea!
Who would have thought a ring could have been made from candy?
And now we're married!
Then we can live happily ever after.
Eating our Ring Pops together.
After a while,
The cats eventually left the candy store and went back to Alex,
Abby and Gabe's house.
When they got home,
Cherry wasn't feeling too good.
Heidi didn't feel too great.
And neither did Veya.
The kids took them into the kitchen.
Got them a glass of water.
Heidi said,
You know,
Candy's all right,
But when you eat too much,
It makes you feel really yucky.
Cherry said.
Very ill.
That's the problem with candy,
Isn't it?
Alex,
Abby,
And Gabe all nodded.
They weren't feeling too great either.
Alex had the great idea.
To get them something fresh and clean and healthy to eat.
How about we all eat an apple or.

Have some salad,
Or maybe some cucumber slices.
Something with something that feels alive,
Said Alex.
Gabe said,
Oh yeah,
I've got tummy ache.
They all had cucumber slices.
Abby put some fresh mint in the water and that settled their tummies,
Made them feel so much better.
And then they all laid down on the bed.
Rubbing their tummies.
Talking about possibly not eating that much candy ever again.
Cherry said,

But I don't think it's a good idea for you to take us to that candy store again.
Maybe moderation.
Maybe that's the key.
Moderation,
Because you know,
If you eat too much candy,
You start feeling like really weird.
My nose tingles,
And I've got a headache,
And my eyes feel a bit buzz-eyed.
I feel like I've had way,
Way way too much sugar and I'm like I don't know I feel a bit hot and sticky like a bit panicky.
Can you get like a panic panicky feeling from too much sugar?
Heidi said yes you can.
Yeah,
It's a cherry.
Oh thank goodness for this mint water it's so refreshing and the mint definitely does make your tummy feel so much calmer but i think i need a story yeah i think i think maybe maybe you alex or or abby or or maybe gabe Gabe was already looking very,
Very sleepy and tired.
Hug but don't worry I don't think I'm gonna be sick on anybody well I don't know about that I can't promise but I'll try not to be sick on anybody when I snuggle in okay Everybody snuggled in together.

They took turns with different parts of the story.

Crazy.
Parts of the story.
An Abbey.
Is telling the nicer.
Calm.
Sweet,
Loving parts of the story.
Because they were both different.
And then,
Eventually.
Everyone.
Even Alex and Gabby.
Close their eyes.
And snuggled in.
And got very,
Very comfortable.
Everybody's body's relaxed.
Everybody managed to calm down even after all that sugar.
Everybody.
Eventually.
Fell fast asleep.
