Heidi Cherry & Vaya - Splash Time

Summer has arrived and Heidi, Cherry & Vaya are hot! The cats have got a new pool and have invited all the neighborhood to come and cool down. Cherry has decided it's too much and would like them to all clear off. She eventually gets to relax and drift off into her magical world under the sea.

Are you ready to meditate with Kari?

Are you ready to lay in your bed,

Use your imagination,

Get all snuggly and warm and ready for this super hot,

Sizzling summertime story?

It was very,

Very hot at Heidi,

Cherry and Veya's house.

They were just sweltering.

Luckily for them,

Their mum and dad had surprised them with a blow-up giant pool.

It was like a really big pool,

Like a pool that you would have fitted,

But it was like a blow-up type pool.

It wasn't one that was in the ground,

It was on top of the ground.

It had a ladder that you had to climb up to get inside of it,

But it had like a mini diving board and everything.

It was so cool.

Heidi,

Cherry and Veya had invited all of the neighbourhood cats and dogs and friends to come and swim with them in the pool because it was so swelteringly hot.

It was summertime and everyone could feel the heat and it was so nice to just be in the pool,

Swimming around on the floaties.

They had unicorn floaties,

A rainbow,

Big massive bouncy one that you could lay on and then they also had a whale floaty.

Cherry was already in the pool sipping on a Slurpee.

This Slurpee is absolutely delicious.

It's like the bestest Slurpee I think I've ever made.

I mean I can make some really good Slurpees,

But this one is so good.

It's got fresh pineapple,

Fresh watermelon and fresh orange juice and it's like icy cold because it's a Slurpee and it's just thick enough that you can suck it up your straw because if you make them too icy and too thick you can't get them up your straw and then you're like and you go purple in the face trying to suck it up your straw but this one is just absolutely delicious.

So it's the bestest Slurpees I've ever made.

It's a good Slurpee.

Heidi had a sip at a Slurpee.

It was a very good Slurpee.

Everyone chirped up that had a Slurpee.

They all agreed they were very good Slurpees.

Veya said,

Mmm mmm me thinks it's just perfect.

I love the sweetness and the orange juice and the pineapple the watermelon makes it so fresh and clean and summery.

Yep yep yep said Cherry.

You got it Veya that's exactly what I was aiming for.

Anyway I think I just want to relax.

I'm gonna lay on this rainbow giant floaty bed thing and I'm gonna drink me Slurpee with me shades on and I'm gonna relax and I'm gonna possibly watch the birds fly by and just chill.

Heidi said might be a little bit difficult just chilling when you've got a pool full of dogs and cats and kids.

Mmm said Cherry didn't really think about that.

Just as Cherry said that one of the kids ran up the steps run across the diving board pinged on it and dived really high and made a giant splash.

When Tommy the boy that did that finally came back up from the bottom of the pool he said cannonball and everyone agreed that cannonballs were pretty cool.

After that everyone was lined up down on the grass waiting to go up the steps run across the diving board and pounce into the water and do a cannonball.

Cherry said this is probably not a good idea.

I'm gonna give them all off an hour to play and cool down and then they can all basically go away.

You know I think it's I think you know you have to have your boundaries don't you.

I mean I really like it when everyone comes over but then enough's enough when you've had enough and I have other plans.

I want to just float and watch the birds and drink me slushy and I can't do that when they're splashing me around all over.

It's like a roller coaster on this bouncy bear on this uh on this floaty thing.

I'm like rolling back and forward side to side up and down.

I feel a little bit seasick.

I need everyone to just have five minutes five minutes.

Cherry shouted and then you all can just go play on the street because I've had enough.

Some of the kids said oh Cherry.

Cherry said yeah yeah yeah I've heard it all before.

I love you and everything but it's time for you to go.

You've got five minutes uh doing that cannonball thingy whatever you're doing and then I'm out and then you're out of here.

You're out of here.

I love you all come back tomorrow.

Everyone was used to Cherry.

That's just Cherry's way and she means it.

She really does love them but you know Cherry is very good with her boundaries when she's had enough and she wants people to go home she just says okay love you bye get out of here time to go love you see you tomorrow and people just know that that's Cherry and they're like oh okay I best go home then and Cherry's like yep yep you best go home love you and everything bye.

So after five minutes of playing everyone just gathered their stuff gave everybody hugs and kisses said goodbye and they all left Cherry's back garden.

Cherry said commence the relaxation.

She laid on a big rainbow floatie looked up at the sky.

The sun was so hot and bright she kept putting one of her paws in the water and just splashing her fur with the water to cool herself down but luckily she had really awesome cool shades on so she could just stare at the sky still.

It was a lovely day even though it was very hot.

She took her last giant swig of her slurpee put a glass in the cup hold section on her rainbow floatie and closed her eyes put a pause behind her head and thought to herself oh this is so nice.

This is the life I feel like I'm in Hawaii floating on the ocean oh look there goes a big giant turtle oh look there's a dolphin hello dolphin hello turtle yeah no this is lovely isn't it?

I love it I love being in your world and then she said wait a minute I'm just gonna dive off me floatie this is all in her mind by the way she was just talking to herself I'm gonna dive off me floatie and I'm gonna jump in and I'm gonna swim with you guys.

Cherry imagined she was jumping down deep into the fresh sparkly water there was the turtle there was the dolphin the dolphin said hello my name's Henry the turtle said my name's Delilah hello Henry said Cherry hello Delilah said Cherry let's go for a swim.

Cherry looked back and noticed that she had a mermaid tail oh I love it when I'm a mermaid she said in her mind and then started swimming deep and fast she got faster and faster but the dolphin caught up with her the turtle did not the turtle was way way back in the ocean just slowly swimming the turtle must have been at least 150 years old when you get that old you really don't swim that fast but you do get really really really big and awesome looking.

Cherry the mermaid was swimming just as fast as Henry the dolphin.

Henry the dolphin swam really quick up to the surface dived out of the water jumped really far pointing his nose up to the sun.

Cherry did the same thing she moved her big giant flipper really fast pushed her muscles in her flipper and jumped way high up next to Henry in the water pointed her arms that were now arms not paws up to the sky and then dived gloriously very poetically back into the water they swam deep deep deep down and the deeper that they swam the colder and darker the ocean got they were swimming through all the different crazy looking fish they were swimming around the different corals pink coral orange coral green coral purple coral you name it every color was down there at the bottom of the ocean and the closer that they swam up to the ocean they could see the sun glittering through the top of the water it was so picturesque it was the best there was no sound except the water swishing around them but if she listened really really closely she could hear dolphins squeaking to each other whales far off maybe hundreds of miles away making the whale noises it was so nice she must have been swimming with Henry the dolphin for the longest time Henry eventually said goodbye and swam off with a bunch of other dolphins and she was left alone she came to the top of the ocean laid on her back a long mermaid air was swirling and twisting around her at the top of the water like when you lay down in the bathtub if you have long hair it floats and twists and swirls in the water then all the world went very very quiet and still she stared up at the clouds and the stars and the stars were shining very quiet and still she stared up at the clouds watched as the pigeons and the doves and the crows all flew around in the sky everything was so still peaceful this was a happy place she decided a place where Cherry could actually be calm and quiet she didn't have a care in the world all was well in Cherry's world no problems no siblings to deal with no friends to deal with she didn't have to deal with her parents she was just a mermaid alone in the middle of the water enjoying her life resting and relaxing she started to get sleepy very very very sleepy very sleepy eventually Cherry couldn't keep her eyes open as she drifted off to sweet dreams floating on the ocean you
