Ellie Belly Bubble Butt was flying through the forest with one of her friends,
Teagan.
The two friends,
Which happened to be fairies,
Were trying to find one red leaf.
They were going to use it to make a patchwork quilt when they got back to their little home in Whidbey Lake.
They were in the forest that was next to the lake,
Just flying around,
Having a lot of fun,
Talking about school and what they've been doing.
And also,
They were talking about a dance that they were practicing together.
Ellie Belly Bubble Butt sensed something off.
She reached out and grabbed a hold of Teagan's arm.
Shhh,
She said,
Motioning to her lips as if to say,
Be quiet.
Teagan stopped flying instantly,
And they both just hovered there in the sky.
Ellie pulled Teagan behind a tree and said,
There's some men up ahead.
I think they're hunting.
Teagan's eyes got really,
Really big.
Oh no,
She said,
What are they hunting?
Ellie very carefully flew around the tree so that she could see the men up ahead.
Even further ahead,
She could see a deer grazing in the grasses on the floor of the forest.
Ellie Belly Bubble Butt's heart got really,
Really fast.
She flew back to where Teagan was hiding and said,
It looks like they're hunting a deer.
Teagan said,
No.
Nothing gets hunted in my forest.
No animals are going to get hurt.
Not if I can help it.
Teagan said,
No,
Ellie,
What are you going to do?
Ellie said,
Trust me.
Ellie grabbed a hold of Teagan's tiny little fairy hand and started to fly towards the two men that were hunting the deer.
They were crouched down on the ground,
Rifles ready,
Resting on the bark of a tree.
Ellie was getting more and more upset the closer she flew.
This is wrong.
This is just wrong,
She kept saying in her mind,
Because by now,
Both of the fairies knew they had to be super,
Super quiet.
When they got really close,
Ellie motioned for Teagan to just stay there.
She held up both hands as if to say,
Stop.
Teagan stopped.
Ellie flew the last part of the distance between her and the two hunters all on her own.
And then she tooted.
She tooted.
A big ooft of glitter flew out of her little tooting bum,
Her little fairy bum.
Remember,
She knew that her toots held magic.
By now,
She tooted quite often and some of the magics that came out with these toots had been different from the original magic.
She'd figured out if she tooted a certain way,
This toot was a toot.
If she tooted just like that,
It meant she tooted.
Ooft of glitter flew out of her little tooting bum.
The two hunters didn't see the glitter.
Of course they didn't.
It was magical.
But Teagan saw it.
Teagan opened her mouth as if to say,
Oh my goodness,
She's doing one of her magical toots.
But she didn't say it.
They were trying to be quiet,
Remember?
This is where it gets really good,
Guys.
The magical toot glitter gently,
Slowly fell onto both of the hunters' hands.
Ellie smiled and then she left them to their reaction as she started to fly towards the deer very carefully.
Because we all know that the deers themselves are magical creatures and they can hear everything.
She flew so quiet and started to hover over the deer,
Ready to toot when she heard one of the hunters say,
Ooh,
Very loudly.
Ellie knew that she didn't have much time,
So she tooted her invisible toot.
It flew out the big ooft of glitter and this time quite quickly landed all over the deer and the deer went completely invisible.
Just at the same time,
The hunters freaked out.
Both of them stood up.
Where's my hands?
One of them said,
My hands have gone.
I've lost my hands.
The other one dropped his rifle instantly.
My hands have gone.
Oh no,
I can't find my hands.
What on earth is happening?
Teagan started to belly laugh,
Out loud this time because who cares?
These two were done for.
Ellie was flying back towards the hunters,
Laughing as she watched them.
Seriously,
Where's my hands?
Bill said,
Robert,
I've absolutely no clue.
I've lost my hands.
Someone told me this forest was magic.
It's all your fault.
We shouldn't have come.
Why did you make me come?
I told you they had the best deer in this forest.
Now look what's happened.
I've got no hands.
I'm not supposed to pick my nose,
Said Robert.
This made Ellie and Teagan laugh even more of all the things to think of,
Of what you would do if you lost your hands.
Robert was thinking about the pleasure of picking his nose.
Ellie thought,
Ha,
Serves you right.
No more sitting in front of the telly,
Picking your nose for you,
Mate.
Ellie flew back and joined Teagan.
The hunters were really,
Really scared.
Robert said,
Let's get out of here.
I'm freaking out,
My hands.
I can't believe I've got no hands.
This made Ellie and Teagan laugh so much.
By now the deer was off,
Free,
Safe,
Completely clear of the hunters,
Invisible.
The deer would be invisible for the next hour.
And so would the hunters' hands.
Ellie said,
How are they supposed to drive home?
I've got no hands.
Well,
They do have hands,
They just can't see them.
They've not figured it out yet.
Silly rabbits,
She said.
Teagan and Ellie,
Still laughing,
Flew away and went on with looking for their red leaf.
They flew to a part of the forest that was very,
Very quiet.
So quiet.
Said Teagan,
Over there,
I see something red.
Ellie and Teagan quickly flew over to the tree that Teagan was pointing to.
Sure enough,
There was one red leaf,
One single red leaf.
Ellie and Teagan very carefully picked the leaf off the tree and thanked it for its leaf.
The tree said,
You're welcome.
Ellie said,
We're going to make a very fancy patchwork quilt with it.
Thank you so much,
Tree.
The tree once again said,
You're very welcome.
Ellie and Teagan started to fly in the direction of their home.
They were giggling still about the silly hunters with invisible hands,
When,
All of a sudden,
They both stopped still.
Both of the little fairies had their mouths wide open at what they were looking at.
One tree,
There,
In front of them,
With the most perfect red,
Wait for it,
Love heart leaves.
The leaves were shaped just like love hearts.
Teagan looked at Ellie,
And Ellie looked at Teagan.
This would make the perfect Valentine's necklaces.
We could give them to our bows,
Said Teagan.
Ellie said,
Do you know what would be even better?
If we magically made the lace,
The necklaces,
We could make it so fast and take them back with us today,
Since it's almost Valentine's Day.
Teagan said,
How do we do that?
Ellie,
Belly and her bubble butt smiled,
The biggest smile.
I have a particular toot that makes things exactly the way I want them in my mind.
It goes like this.
Sounds like a trumpet.
It's the best.
Can you do it on command,
Said Teagan.
Course I can.

Ellie Belly Bubble Butt.
With that,
Ellie Belly Bubble Butt flew over closer to the beautiful,
Beautiful tree with the love heart red leaves and said,
Would it be okay if we take some of your leaves to make necklaces for Valentine's,
Please?
The little tree said,
Oh,
Yes,
I love that idea.
Take as many as you like.
Ellie said,
Thank you,
And then she proceeded to do her trumpet toot very loudly.
The tree said,
Oh,
Oh,
That tickles.
And then all of a sudden,
Two beautifully crafted lace laid on the forest floor.
Ellie and Teagan flew down and picked them up and put them around their own neck.
Thank you,

Said Teagan to the tree.
Ellie said,
Thank you so much.
This is perfect.
The tree said,
Did you tickle me so?
Ellie Belly Bubble Butt said,
Oh,
That's just my magical butt.
I have specific toots for specific jobs.
We just met two hunters hands going visible and we saved the deer,
Said Ellie to the small tree.
And the tree said,
Oh,
My,
That's the best thing I've heard all day.

They flew all the way home.
They kept looking down at their lays around their necks.
And then when they got back to the little village where all of the different fairies lived,
They instantly went to their bows.

Their pretty love heart lays the necklaces around the cute little boy fairies.
The boy fairies said,

Both of them blushing at the same time.
And Ellie and Teagan thought that was the funniest thing ever and laughed and then said,

See you later and flew away.
