Today we're going to explore the super special feeling of compassion.
You know,
That kind of a feeling you get when you help someone.
Before we do that,
Let's make sure that our body is ready.
You can lay down or sit,
You know,
Whatever works best for you.
Now wiggle around until you feel just right.
And if you're comfortable,
You can close your eyes.
And let's take three nice slow deep breaths.
Into your nose,
Hold,
And out to your mouth.
Into your nose,
Hold,
And out to your mouth.
Last one.
Into your nose,
Hold,
And out to your mouth.
Great.
Now start focusing all of your attention on your heart and think about a really special time when you felt so much love in your heart that it felt like it was gonna burst.
Now give that special feeling a color and see that color surrounding your heart kind of like a force field or a cocoon.
Pretty cool,
Huh?
Now think of someone in your life who isn't doing so well.
You know,
Maybe they have an injury or maybe they are feeling sad or scared about something.
Picture that person and see the pain or sadness in their eyes and on their face.
Kind of makes you feel what they're feeling,
Huh?
Well that's alright because that's part of compassion and it helps you understand what someone is going through and how you can help them.
Now come on back to that feeling of love in your heart.
See the light come out of your heart and surround this person who is hurting.
Now it's their force field,
It's their cocoon,
And once it surrounds them a big smile forms on their face and they begin to instantly feel better.
Now you begin to smile and feel the love and kindness of compassion even more.
Kind of feels good,
Huh?
So if you see someone who is hurting you can tap into this amazing power in your heart and reach out to help them.
This might be saying or doing something nice for them but whatever it is let your kind heart lead the way and you will start to develop the superpower of compassion.
Well my friends,
We'll say goodbye for now.
So as the music slowly fades out start to bring your attention back into the room.
You can wiggle your fingers and toes,
Rub your hands together,
And slowly open your eyes whenever you're ready.
And just remember you are one-of-a-kind,
You are wonderful,
And you are loved.
