Hello,
Thank you for joining and as we begin,
Let's start with finding that comfortable position,
Either seated or lying down with your back supported and your eyes lowered or closed.
Take a few deep breaths,
Breathing in slowly and exhaling slowly.
Continue to bring your attention inward,
Focusing on your body sensations,
Emotions and thoughts.
Allow yourself to simply observe without judgment or attachment all that is present now within you.
As you observe,
You may imagine that you are standing in front of a door.
This door represents the entrance to your inner world where you can access and understand your thoughts,
Feelings and sensations on a deeper level.
Gently turn the handle and step inside when you're ready.
Take this time to explore this space and get a sense of what it feels like as you move through this inner world.
Be aware of any sensations that arise.
Notice if there are any areas of your body that feel tight or uncomfortable.
Allow yourself to simply be with these sensations without trying to change them.
Recognize that they are simply a part of your experience in this moment.
As you continue to observe and be with your sensations,
Emotions and thoughts,
Imagine that you are shining a gentle light of acceptance on each one.
This light is allowing you to understand and make room for each part of your experience,
Releasing them from the shadows and enlivening your self-compassion.
Continue to explore this inner world,
Shining the light of acceptance on all that you find.
Note what it's like to begin this self discovery,
To know anything that is brand new or even to note what it's like to rediscover parts that may have been hidden for quite some time.
Know that you can always return to this exploration whenever you need and when it's time to go back to that door,
Allow yourself to travel back taking a few more deep breaths and taking all that you've discovered with you as you slowly reopen your eyes.
